So far the printing, both in color or not, has been quick and looks good. The scanner and copy functions also are great.

I have purchased several laptops and printers for myself and several family members. I have never had a bad experience. Until I purchased this printer. The scanner will n I t stay connected, I receive error messages when I have to scan documents. Then, I have to continually disconnect and reconnect this printer.

After being unable to get WiFi to pair/print consistently and having difficulty printing with a USB cord, I decided to return it and buy another brand. I also didn’t like being forced to set up an account and somehow “opt out” of instant ink. It was too much aggravation for a machine that I’ll use to print maybe 10 pages a month? Sad to see HP’s disconnect with its customer’s needs. It was the gold standard for printers. My 8610 is still going strong.

The unit shakes and makes a lot of noise when it prints. The paper tray does not hold a lot of paper so be ready to add paper when printing more than 50 pages. The instant ink ready service is what I like most about buying a HP printer. I think it is cheap then buying ink. Overall, the printer does the job for what I needed and out performs most of the other printers in its price range.

Scanning is loud and the rollers sound like they are grinding but it does scan. You have to create an HP account to use their wireless system and for their Instant Ink system. It supposedly keeps track of the number of prints/scans, etc but what it says isn't what is really happening. I'm not impressed one little bit and wish I had bought a different brand. It works but it works poorly.
