I bought this printer a few weeks ago. Today I tried to set up and it never let me do it, saying that it had a paper jam, which is impossible since is brand new. with the years, HP Is getting worse with all printer being made of cheap plastic and low quality material. Sad!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has not worked properly. It’s easy to understand why seeing a paper jam error upon setup even though you’ve loaded no paper would be quite a shock. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll provide a resource and some information aimed at accomplishing that goal.

I can’t fell from your review what’s causing the paper jam error or why you can’t clear it. I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. The printer is ok but unfortunately it seems impossible to set it up to scan as a pdf and everything comes through as a picture, which is not very useful when scanning documents for business. Would certainly not recommend this printer.

This printer works faster and better than my old 6970 model it replaced. I only hope that the scanner works longer than the 2 years my other 2 models did.

Output tray too short for multiple page documents

I had to replace a HP 8610 printer that I have used for years, so purchased this one. The ink cartridges do not "click" or connect well. I tried over and over and OVER again to insert them. Either they kept popping out or the screen dialog said that the cartridge was was not installed. After finally getting them to all show as installed, I tried to print. If I print a document with 3 or more pages, the pages start falling to the floor. The output tray is too short. When pages come out, they do not lie flat. If you regularly print multiple page documents, just know that you will need to stay next to the printer and capture pages as they are coming out. SO. VERY. AGGRAVATING.

like all printers, very hard to program to scan to email and print from email. but that had been the case of every brand of printer i have purchased so I really cannot knock this one for that issue. kind of clunky as to the noises it makes with it prints. but that is fine since i use at home and not in an office in front of client. never have found printer nirvana. but it does what i need it to do.
