    Our 8600 model finally died and needed a printer right away. This printer works fine, but much slower than our old model. Just doesn't seem to be as sturdy. Had a problem hooking up the fax to it also. There really aren't many other options for an inkjet printer so hopefully this one holds up for awhile.

    This is the worst printer I have ever had and the HP customer service is horrible. The printer that first arrived screeched so loudly you couldn't stay in the same room with it. After many calls to service, they agreed to replace this printer. I was instructed to remove all of the removable parts and ship the old one back which I did. The new printer arrived but the paper tray that I kept from the old printer will not come out of the printer as it should. Called HP support and they were rude and no help. Garbage
