Have had this for over a year and in general am still pleased with it. Only area that I find troublesome is printing on paper other than 8x10. Not easy. Not convenient. Nearly impossible.

This is the worst printer I have ever purchased and I have been in Business for over 40 years. It grabs too much paper all the time and does not line up the print. The paper grabber slips and the print does not line up properly resulting in messed up copies. Support did not understand the problem and could not and would not help me fix the problem.

Have had less than a year, and it is now unusable because the ink cartridge won’t move after saying that the ink refills were successfully replaced. Waste of money for the printer and the expensive refills.

Gives me exactly what I needed to replace my old Cannon printer that just quit working. Just wish the darn ink was not so expensive. HP should just give the printer away while making work only if you use their ink.

Printer is OK, but installing this printer on Windows requires some expertise. I have been building my own PCs for decades, I am a software engineer, still I found challenging to get the printer setup. On Windows 10, their "HP Smart" app is never going to find automatically the printer on your network. You will have to find it by IP. After that you will have to try multiple times to install the drivers for it. This app always fails to do so, even if the printer is connected directly through ethernet. Also asking to setup an HP account for doing anything in this app is infuriating. Bottom line, I would not recommend this printer to my family or friends. More frustration than anything for a not so great printing quality when you are able to have it working. 2 Stars because this is still printing when setup, but that's it...

We want all our customers to have an easier time setting up and using our printers than what you’ve endured, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at getting you there.

If you’ve not done so already, I recommend that you follow a guide to installing and using the HP Smart App, especially the FAQ portion, which covers common questions as well as difficulties users have encountered. Choose the link to whichever document matches your operating system:

didn't like getting sucked into their ink program because of the ink cartridges that came with the printer. It doesn't save you money in the long run. I would have better off with another brand and the sales person didn't warn me about the ink program.

HP continues to dissappoint me as a customer for many years. They are annoying with their new subscription advertising to buy their ink, and it prevents you from printing in Black & White when out of Magento for some reason. I've spent a few hours trying to get the connectivity restored after setting it up on my PC. Was kind of annoying, but eventually was able to get it back working again.

      Hi, Bryan.

I’m sorry that your printer has performed poorly for you. I can certainly understand why connectivity issues and the inability to print in black if a color cartridge is depleted would be an unwelcome combination. I want to help you understand what’s happening and have a better experience with the device. I hope the resources listed below serve that end.

First, you’re correct that the printer will not print with black unless all color cartridges contain some ink. With some HP printers including yours, that’s by design. Some ink from all the cartridges is used in periodic servicing tasks. These tasks help prevent issues such as printhead clogs and poor print quality. You can read more about it here:

    HP Pro 9015 printer

Good printer. However, I thought I was purchasing the Pro 9015E model instead of the Pro 9015. They should change the model number (not just the "E") to save confusion. It's still a good printer and I ended up buying the Pro 9015E for a relative who is working at home and needed one. I purchased the "E" model for the same price as the 9015 elsewhere because BestBuy didn't offer it, (at that time at least) Downfall would be the software registration was time consuming and made more difficult than it has to be.

At first glance you would think the 9015 would be limited to what it can handle. I was pleasantly surprised after setting it up and putting it in action. Even though it has a smaller foot print than the previous HP printers; it can do the same tasks.
