I’m sorry that your printer has stopped working. I can wholly understand why that would be an unnerving surprise, considering you’ve used it so little and you’ve had it less than a year. I want to help you out of this dilemma, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.
I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. The black ink started printing extremely light. I bought a new ink cartridge and no change. After doing a google search apparently the printheads need to be cleaned. We took the printer to Best Buy and they do not service printers anymore. The guy we spoke to said it would cost more than the printer to be repaired through HP. We did not buy a warranty with Best Buy and the HP warranty expired in August. HA! Its been a little over a year. Also to replace all the ink cartridges for this printer is almost $100 dollars. Unless you just want to throw away money......dont buy this printer.
