A Good Printer at a Fair Price

I replaced an aging HP OfficeJet 8720 with this 9015e. While not has solidly built as my previous model it's also about one-third smaller. It works well and the output is excellent albeit a little slow. My only complaint is that the paper tray is a little flimsy. It's a good printer at a fair price especially with the 6 months of ink and a two-year warranty.

So far so good. Only have the printer for a couple of months and so far no problems. I gave it 4 stars because I don't know how long the ink will last and I am not crazy about the paper draw. Scanning is great and double sided and printing so far is great and double sided. The other thing that would make it better is if the flatbed cover had a little more tension it sort of slams down if you don't slowly close it.

    What I needed

I bought this printer because the HP 5055 I bought did not have all the features I wanted. I like the wireless feature because I have too many wires behind my desk as it is. I installed the print cartridges and it began to install the software. The process was more convoluted than it should have been with my having to move back and forth between the printer screen and the computer monitor and it took a lot longer than I should have. After all this, it printed fine so I did a test scan and the printer screen said I needed to install the scanning software ( why was this not included in the setup you ask - answer: I have no idea) Had to go online to find the scanning software and installed that - there are a million websites that say they contain scanning software, but I searched until I found the HP scanning software to be sure. I give HP 2 stars for their setup process - it should never have been this difficult - maybe 10 years ago, but not today. The printer is what I needed. The print quality is excellent. the multi page document scanner is important to me and that works well. The color printing appears very good. I was surprised and very pleased how fast it prints. The large paper capacity is also a plus for me. The only negative I have so far is it is pretty noisy - not bad or annoying but not as quiet as the smaller printers so maybe that comes with the territory. I suggest using the icon on your computer home page to adjust settings for printing - the little screen on the printer it ok but is not as detailed as the version on your computer and is much easier to use. I give the printer 5 stars.

Easy set up and quick set up. Perfect for my home office. Color is good and prints pretty quickly. Bluetooth access so we can print from other devices. I love that I can have something sent to my email while I'm out of the office and still print what I need right from my phone so it's waiting for me when I get back.

Print quality and speed good for the price.

I found the print quality and speed to be real good. I am not real pleased with the paper tray. Real flimsy paper tray and the tray for the printed pages is designed such that the paper doesn’t lay flat. Kind of weird how the printed pages are sort of curled up. I guess the reason is to grab it easier, but I don’t like it. The front cover where the ink cartridges are located also looks and feels really flimsy. Seems as though HP is trying to use the least amount of plastic possible! But with all of the negativity, it performs reasonably well, especially for the price. Haven’t had mine long enough to determine how thirsty it is on ink. The setup is straight forward, if you have setup printers in the past. If not, the setup is not real clear as far as the correct software to down load from HP.

My history with HP printers years ago was not positive, so this was a gamble. Not disappointed in my choice. Easy to install with online app. Quiet and fast production, good quality printing. Scanning so much easier than with my older printer. Has a small footprint so sits comfortably out of the way on a table in office closet.

I am impressed with the ease of set up - for someone who knows nothing about IT and has NO WI-FI, the website and printer did most of the work for me. However, the installation of ink cartridges was a little tough. You really have to force them into the slots to fit flush. I print 36 cards every month and the cartridges that came with the printer are still working - that's impressive! I do like the speed at which the HP prints and the fact it accepts various thicknesses of paper!

The OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer is exactly what I expected. While I had a problem setting it up—for some reason one of the inkjets was broken—Best Buy replaced the printer without question and the set up of the second one went smoothly and it has worked perfectly ever since. Print quality is great and all of the features—scan, copy, etc.—are easy to use.

Set up was a breeze, installing the ink cartridge was simple, the quick start guide show pictures on how to do everything so even a trained toddler could put it together. It’s quite sufficient for all my printing needs. You will need a bit of muscle to move it all around, but that’s fine with me. I knew she was a big gal when I bought her.

Owned a 8720 for 3 years and the 9015e is a great upgrade option. It prints a lot faster and the printer shakes less than the 8720. Only issue (not really printer ) is that the HP ink subscription doesn't indicate the correct ink based on your registered product.

This printer fulfills all my office needs. In addition to Word, I use Publisher for graphic documents and art projects. The print quality is excellent and it works well with photo paper and heavy stock (I use 65 lb. but supposedly goes higher). It comes with 6 mos. free ink for up to 700 copies per month. I easily set up the printer without technical help. I have not yet tried the fax feature as I generally email my docs.

This OJP replaces another one that I had that only lasted a couple years - this one works really well, does everything it said it would, and was easy to set up. I have the instant ink option, and was able to port my subscription over from my other printer. Since I probably needed a replacement printhead on my other machine, it was easier for me to buy a new printer than go through the process of getting the older machine repaired. This new printer is doing the job, as did the old one when it was new, so although it is excellent now, it's a wait and see issue for me.

We couldn’t be more pleased with this HP all-in-one printer. Our experience with HP products has been outstanding and this purchase is no exception! It’s easy to set up and every function works very well. The printing is so quick and perfect. We would recommend the purchase to anyone else looking for quality and value in a 3-in-one printer.
