Good printer, set up and HP’s instant ink is weird

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d give the printer itself 5 stars, but the reason for 4 is for a couple reasons, setup was weird you needed to download an app on your phone and their instant ink program is a joke if you cancel HP shuts off your ink and makes you buy new (~$100). Other than that the printer has been amazing.

HP Printer

Included Instant Ink subscription which works well as long as printer maintains internet connection. I do run into issues when I can print fine via WiFi but printer status says not connected to internet. I end up having to reboot my modem/router to resolve issue when that happens. Not sure if that is an issue with the printer or with HP's service.

Prints and scan well

My last HP printer (8600 Pro) lasted approx. 8-9 yrs so hopefully this one will last as long. One thing I had trouble with is after 90 days I had trouble printing with my HP laptop, it was as if the driver was erased. So it took me about three hours to get it back to working again but since then it's been ok.

We had to return our last HP printer because it started having issues. We upgraded to this and couldn't be happier. Fast, dual trays, clear prints, has a quiet mode (although its not that loud to begin with). Would recommend to anyone who has a need for a business printer/copier. We have a home based business and homeschool, so we do a lot of printing. This fits everything we do.
