Compact and Competent (and a bit loud)
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summary: The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e Wireless Color All-in-One Printer is priced to sell with the features most want, duplex scanning and printing (huge time saver), easy setup, relatively compact, and ink designed to last with separate cartridges. There are some quirks, the screen is small for a touch screen, and the overall construction is not as inspiring as more costly models. Pros: - Fast for a budget printer - Automated duplex printing and scanning. - Reasonable print quality for business. - Works with cardstock - Integrates well with your phone (I use an iPhone) - Fax - Separate ink cartridges (cost saving) - Wifi, ethernet, or USB connect (once set up) - Compact, takes less space than many comparable printers Cons: - Fairly loud - Compact, page scan area is smaller. A Matter of Taste: - Requires the smart phone app to set up - Requires WIFI to set up, once set up can connect via usb and ethernet too. - Unconventional loading of paper, tray lacked a back - Fairly loud - Sleek and modern looking, for a printer. - You will want better print quality if your main application is photo prints. - If you expect the App to manage all the printer’s features, you will be disappointed. It does handle the basic ones well. -The HP instant Ink program means never having to say you’re sorry. No, it means not having to ever worry about running out of ink, the ink gets delivered to you beforehand. Some will like the convenience; some will want more control over expenditures. Good news is first 6 months is free and can be cancelled at any time. More Words: It’s a printer. It prints. Fast, reliably, and automated full duplex. And prints from all my wifi connected devices, computer, phone, and iPad. The print quality is fine for business applications. The price is low, where is the trade off? Lack of physical controls, a more ‘plasticy’ build resulting in it being louder and more ‘clanky’, and compact footprint, which is a plus but also means scanning oversized documents can be hard. These things don’t bother me, I like the price. Two things will be polarizing, the App and Instant Ink. Some will love them; some might hate them. The App is simple to use, though sometimes looks like advertising space, but it does NOT control every aspect of the printer. A few set up things require you to use the printer’s touch screen. This wasn’t a problem with me. It did 99% of the things I needed from anywhere in my house, and the 1% wasn’t an issue as the printer was in my office with me. The instant ink program is another thing. I can see its appeal, the idea that your printer calls home and ink is sent to you automatically so theoretically you never run out. However, this clearly doesn’t apply to crunch jobs where you go from not printing much to printing out a lot towards the end of the cartridge’s life (rare but could happen). And I am not a fan of my devices ordering things for me. You have to figure out if the price is worth the convenience, probably won’t be if your print needs are modest. But the good news is the solution is simple for those that want to stay in the good ole days of inventory management, you can opt out of the program no hassles. So, to summarize, people should buy it on price and function. It’s fine for moderate daily use. If you are going to print 500 pages a day you might want to look at something with a more robust build. It’s size makes it ideal for a small home office or even for students.

nice printer, fast setup with minor hiccup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice printer. Setup was fairly easy (one minor snag) and went quickly. You can be up and printing in less than 10 minutes. As is the custom now, there is very little in the way of printed documentation included in the box. The short “getting started” sheet has two steps. The first is to unbox the printer, plug it in, and turn it on, and the second is to go the a website at HP for further instructions and to download the HP Smart app. Setup consists of loading the four cartridges, adding paper, doing a test print which prints a page used to align the print heads, doing the alignment step, and then installing the printer to the wireless network. The recommendation is to follow the setup process at the website, but the printer’s touch screen will also lead you through it. This printer can be connected via USB, but the recommendation is to set it up with a wireless connection and then use USB afterwards if needed for some reason. Connection of the printer to the network and thus my computer was fairly straightforward. I already had the HP Smart app on my computer because I have another HP printer. I started the app, it searched for and found my new printer, and it proceeded to add it to the network. Things seemed to go smoothly, and I was surprised that I was not asked which network to connect the printer to nor for a network password. I assume this is because the HP app already had this information from my previous installation. Anyway, before it could finish the setup, an error message popped up saying that setup could not be completed, it gave a typically useless error code, and it said to try again later, although I’ve never been able to figure what would happen “later” that would allow the setup to complete. Sunnier skies? Wait for the stock market to go up? After acknowledging and clicking away the error message, I was taken to a page that welcomed me to the app and asked if I wanted to finish setting up my new printer. I clicked “yes,” and, this time, setup completed with no problems. Not sure what happened here, but I’ve found that, just like rebooting a computer, sometimes just starting over again will allow completion of some setup task. Setup also gives you the opportunity to sign up for HP’s “instant ink” program where you select a typical monthly page printing load for you (10 pages a month, 50 pages a month, etc.), and HP will send you new ink cartridges automatically based on this. I picked one of the printing load levels (cost is well less than $10 per month), gave them my credit card info, and we’ll see how it goes. You do get the first three months of ink for free. Overall, as I said at the outset, this is a fine printer. I’ve been printing, and scanning using the HP app, for several days now with no problems. There is a sheet feeder in the lid for scanning or copying multiple pages rapidly as well. Print quality is just fine. I do like the relatively compact size of the printer as it sits well on my printer stand. Discounting the relatively minor setup hiccup, I would have no hesitation in recommending this printer.

Fine for most, recommend Upgrade to LaserJet Pro
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Office Jet line of printers fits squarely between their entry level Desk Jet series, and the top of the line HP Laser Jet pro. Let me start this review of the HP Office Jet Pro 9125e printer by stating that I’ve had no less than half dozen printers over the previous decades, covering many various brands for a variety of intended purposes (3x5 and 4x6 photo specialties, black and white laser office prints, full page color glossy printer for a photo centric business, etc. In all that time, this has only been the 2nd time I can recall having to contact HP customer support. My issue was initially diagnosed by tier 1 support, and thusly expedited to tier 2 when the basic “unplug, take cartridge out and re-insert, reinstall software” etc did not work. Tier 2 support had me take more aggressive steps to troubleshoot, factory reset to defaults, etc. I commend HP for bringing on the engineering support without great delay. After 2 rounds of trying to describe in words what was happening, I was thrilled that HP Engineering support has a tool to send a text requesting access to your mobile phone camera, so they can see exactly what the user is trying to describe. It was determined that this particularly unit had a defective print head, as well as cyan and magenta ink cartridges which were preventing the printer from printing. Once received installation progressed just as easily as I’d have originally expected. This printer is a “jack of all trades”, feature packed, and does everything it tries reasonably well; printing check, photo scanning check, photo copying check. One feature that i like is the Scanner can scan to external USB drive, as well as to email. My biggest complaint with previous HP printers of years past they often lack not just a touch screen, but ANY screen whatsoever, thus the requirement of the HP Smart app to access any and all functions, instead of visual identification of status messages. Another feature that I found extremely useful here is the wifi network self-healing feature. In the past I’ve had multiple printers online, and a wi-fi glitch takes them all offline, not exactly what many users prefer to trouble shoot while under time crunch deadlines. No worries here with this. Specs : B&W prints @ 22 pages per minute : B&W resolution 1200 x 1200 : Color prints @ 18 ppm : Color resolution 4800 x 1200 : Display 2.7 inches : Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB 2.0, AirPrint : Dimensions 11 in x 17 ½ x 13 ½ , and 20 lbs : Tray holds 250 sheets paper : Flatbed scanner 1200 x 1200 resolution : Ink Cartridges 936 black 1250 pages, color 800 pages : Ink Cartridges (not included) 936e, black 2500, color 1600 Pros + feature packed + beautiful touch screen + color prints look great + scanner quality superb + 3 months free Instant ink HP+ + dual band 2.4 and 5 Ghz Wi-Fi + respectable speeds for B&W + color Cons -document and photo scanning feels unusually slow -cartridge installation does not securely snap in place -personal defective print head, warranty replacement -personally not a fan of ink replacement subscritpion Conclusion *All in, considering the primary pinter manufactures, HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Ricoh, etc, each have their own pros and cons, but in the end options are plentiful. It is hard to go wrong with HP mid-level Office Jet series of products. Depending on your usage needs, this 9125e offers most users everything a Small Office, Home Office might require. However if you are operating a small business or expect to print a large quantity of black and white, as well as color documents, I feel the pay as you go costs of HP+ ink replacement 9036 cartridges will cost more in the long run than stepping right into the more professional top end LaserJet series of printers. Recommend : buy for minimal printing needs, upgrade for larger needs.

Great All-in-One printer for your everyday needs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP - Office Jet Pro 9125e Wireless All-in-One Printer is a great printer for your office and personal needs. The setup process was very easy and the instructions were detailed and to the point. The Quickstart paper guide only has 2 steps, turn the power on and a QR code to download the app. The mobile app guides you through a very detailed process with animations and instructions. I’ve setup printers before that would have some type of glitch during setup. This printer’s setup process was flawless. The ink cartridges were easy to install and there was no worries of spilling ink. The screen on the printer is touch screen and the viewing quality if great. It’s much better than the screen of other printers I’ve used before. The screen can also tilt for better viewing. The ink cartridge alignment didn’t take too long and everything was ready to go. The overall print quality is very good and the scanning speed is pretty good. Overall, I’m quite pleased with quality of this printer and hope to get years of great use out of it.

Nice printer for home or small office
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OfficeJet Pro 9120E printer is a nice printer for home and small business users. It uses inkjet technology, can print on both sides of the page, and can scan from the glass or automatic sheet feeder. prints at up to 22 pages per minute and can print at a resolution of up to 1200 dpi by 12040 dpi or 4800dpi by 1200dpi optimized. It utilizes 4 ink cartridges; black, cyan, yellow and magenta. The black cartridge can print up to 1200 pages and the color cartridges can print up to 800 pages. In April, HP will be releasing new high-yield “Evomore” cartridges where the black will be able to print up to 2500 pages and the colors up to 1650 pages each. The cartridges have chips in them that allow them to work with the printer. No third-party ink cartridges can be used in the printer because of these chips. The printer has a rated duty cycle of up to 1500 pages per month The HP ink cartridges currently retail for $41.99 for the back and $26.99 for each color or you can by a kit of all 4 inks for $120.99. Pricing is not yet available for the high yield cartridges. As an option, you can sign up for “HP Instant Ink”. The printer includes 3 free months of the service. After that there is a month fee for the service, based on your printer usage. With this service, you pay for the service and they send you ink whenever you need it. Note that if you cancel the service, the ink cartridges will no longer work and you will have to buy new ones. The printer operates in conjunction with the HP Smart Print application so you can print to it from Windows, Android, Mac and IOS devices. It can also print from Chrome, Linux, Unix and SAP. It has a 250-sheet paper tray capable of holding paper up to 8 ½”by 14”. It can also hold up to 30 business size envelopes. It has a 30-sheet document feeder for the scanner and a 60-sheet output tray. It connects via USB or Wi-Fi. Overall, it’s a very nice printer. It prints high quality images at a very good speed. The duplex feature can save you a lot of paper. The scanner does an excellent job of reproducing the original and the sheet feeder works very smoothly. I can’t really find any negatives about this printer other than the requirement to only use HP Ink, and the price of that ink. If you are ok with thoise itesm, I can highly recommend this printer to you.

Excellent Printer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP - Office Jet Pro 9125e Wireless All-in-One Printer with 3 months Instant Ink with HP+ is by far the easiest printer I've ever set up. I was able to easily connect to my wireless network without any hang-ups (this is a first for me) or issues leading me to walk away from the computer for a few minutes. Following prompts on the small LCD screen, it's pretty much automated once you've installed the HP Smart app to your computer or mobile device. Yes, I can now easily print stuff from my phone on a shared wifi network. Setting up additional devices was such a breeze. I was concerned I would need to HP Smart on all devices using the printer but this is not the case. Print quality is excellent. The packaging and instructions were excellent. Other printers I've had in the past would tend to be a pain when adding paper to the document feeder, no issues whatsoever. Scanning and copying both very well and again, you can do this all through the prompts on the LCD screen. Overall great at home office printer.

Good quality printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really nice HP printer. It was very easy to set-up and took me less than 20 minutes to get it up and running. I already had an HP account so that eliminated any time spent setting up an HP account. They have a free trial for ink refills, but you can customize that or stop it all together and just order ink as needed if you dont have a specific amount of pages you print per month. I signed up for the free trial and I received my ink pretty quick. You can try it out then cancel it if it is not something for you and order the ink later when needed. I feel like the size is decent for a home business printer. It is not that much bigger than my other printer that is not for business but for home use. It has a top feeder that works great and scanned my document with no issues. The ink cartridges fit in the ink slot holder easily and the print quality is great. I like that the printer is not slow and prints and feeds the paper out pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend this printer.

loud but OK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a new machine it is very noisy. I had read a few reviews mentioning it being loud when it was printing. But overall it's a nice printer just a little disappointed we couldn't get the 3 months of free ink. Hp website wanted a code said it was in the box but we did not get a code, they would not give us our ink without thata code.

Excellent Home Office or Small Business Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Officejet 9125e is designed to be a professional quality, residential or small business all-in-one printer with many features and quick print speeds. With app integration, greater than 40% recycled materials, and additional built-in HP Wolf Pro Security features this printer makes for a great home office companion. In The Box: - HP Officejet Pro 9125e Printer - Power Cord - HP 936 Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow Ink Cartridges - Manuals and Flyers Setup: This is a very easy process with a little labor getting it out of the box and muscle to find a good spot to place it on a desk or table. Once plugged in, you will likely want to download the HP app on your smartphone and/or on your computer. Since I have used HP printers in the past, I already had the software downloaded on both devices and all I needed to do was open it up and find the printer on my network. Once it finds the printer, it will guide you through installing the ink cartridges and finish the setup process. This printer features both 2.4 gHz and 5 gHz Wi-Fi connectivity, which is great for dual band or mesh networks. Usage: Because this is an all-in-one, it features all your typical functions such as print, copy, scan, fax, and more. I am glad this machine features duplex printing as I have used HP in the past that did not, and it was a pain to use. I also enjoy using the scan function to automatically upload documents to the cloud. This works with most major cloud-based programs. The paper tray is rated for 250 sheets of paper, which is a good size but not huge by any means. It should be plenty for home office use or even small businesses. The touch screen is small but easy to read and navigate. I didn’t have any issues with accidental clicks in adjacent areas to what item you wanted to select. The HP app is easy to use and navigate across desktop and mobile which is nice. I prefer to do most of my work from the desktop but occasionally I will want to print or scan from mobile which this printer allows me to do. When it comes to print quality, this is very good and what I would expect from an Inkjet printer. It does print as quickly as a laser but it’s not slow by any means. The monochrome images come out as one would expect, and the color pictures are vivid in color. As with any Inkjet printer, the heads can become clogged over time if they have not been used so I would consider that aspect when choosing an Inkjet. This printer comes with a 3-month trial of a newer subscription program called HP+ which offers Ink delivery to your door for a monthly charge. I don’t print enough to take advantage of this subscription, but this would be good for those that do. Overall: The HP Officejet 9125e has been a very nice home all-in-one to use over the last several weeks. With good print speed, quality, and features, it makes it an easy recommendation for those that need a printer with all features but don’t want to blow the budget on something nicer. The HP+ subscription adds a new level to consider with less expensive ink options for those that print often and need refills rather than buying expensive cartridges which can quickly add up to the cost of a new printer.

More than just another HP printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to be one of the first to test and review the new HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e Wireless All-In-One Printer, and I could not be more pleased with another stellar HP product. This printer is a must have for anyone needing a high performance printer with all the necessary specifications of an office printer at an affordable price for a home, small office, or medium sized office. I am a bit of a printer aficionado, which is said in jest, but I have had so many printers over the years I might as well be. One thing I have learned to look for in a nice printer is the speed and consistency of that printer. I like to run as many prints as possible within my schedule when I first evaluate a new printer. This was a challenge for this device because of how capable this printer is when performing any function as designed. Out of the box, the unit is very atypical HP with plastic flat white and gray coloring, which I actually adore. The device is not too bulky, weighing in at about twenty pounds (more when loaded with paper), and was light enough for my wife to move around. On top of the work surface, the unit is about eighteen inches by fourteen inches. Having set up HP products before, I already had the HP Smart app downloaded for a quick and seamless installation. Either way, using the app and working with the onboard interface is easy, and you will be printing within minutes. The 9125e has the most recent dual-band connectivity available, so you never have to worry about trying to connect to the printer. The app will literally let you print from anywhere to the device using this reliable connection. Plus, with the HP WolfPro Security, I feel a sense of confidence knowing that my network has an added layer of protection. The touchscreen interface is very user-friendly with a good pressure responsive display. I am a middle-aged man over six feet tall and never had an issue with the screen icons or scrolling features not recognizing my touch points; I have experienced this from many other manufacturers. This HP OfficeJet Pro does not disappoint in terms of performance and functionality. The unit boasts lightning-fast printing output that is capable of printing up to twenty-two pages a minute for black and white and up to eighteen per minute for multi-colored. I will note that I am not printing photos from this device but the images and graphics I print are stunning. The document feeder is going to be a wonderful addition to our small business as we will be able to scan customer purchase orders which are often double-sided forms. As well as the ability to set up self-addressed envelopes from the app for monthly mailing tasks. HP also offers a monthly printer ink subscription for an additional fee(s). I would suggest you research this option because the neat thing is that the app will let you know when it time to reorder or the subscription will just send new ink out for you. In conclusion, I would like to highly recommend this HP OfficeJet 9125e because it has exceeded my expectations at every turn.

Powerhouse small business option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Office Jet Pro 9125e is an office work horse for your small business (or larger) printer needs. For me, I work out of my home as does my wife 50% of the time. This is a solid addition as a secondary small business printer. But being up front here, it has a fairly large footprint being 11H x 17W x 13D. So it’s large, but not all that tall. It has all the features of a office printer, it is fairly compact in size. The printer is fairly large and more substantial than a classic home desktop printer. It’s a little over 22 pounds. That said, the set up was simple. I opted to use the set up wizard from my PC. Instead of using a wired connection to set up the printer, I did it via wifi. I am not sure how many printers you have tried that have a touch screen like this one, but they are nothing like that of your phone or tablet. They always feel like you need a stylus, and this printer is exactly the same way. That said, you can easily get your way through doing you test page and set up easily using the touch screen provided. I do like the color display on the LCD display, it is way better than the typical mono color non-touch screen displays. This is a fairly feature packed printer. The most important thing is always print quality for me. After all, you are using this for work so you want a nice product. First for me was the scanner. I did not have a scanner on my old printer and most of the time I ended up taking pictures using my phone and creating PDF’s from them as scans. Short cut for sure, but using this scanner and getting the scan right on your computer helps a lot. Along the same lines, the printer works as a copier and provides some great copies when you need them. Additionally, although I have not tried it yet, this printer has the ability to be a fax machine. Something we needed as well, as believe it or not people still use those things. As far as the printing goes, it is exactly what I needed. I can do anything from printing addresses on an envelope to printing multi colored documents. Plus it is fast and it says it does about 35 pages per minute. Its tray holds about 250 pages as well. One of the things you need to consider is the price of the refill cartridges. It has four cartridges and each comes in between $40-60, with a four pack costing a reasonable $122. But the great thing about laser printers is that the cartridges last forever. Seriously, they last for a long time, and investment is worth it. At the end of the day, it comes down to whether I would recommend this to a friend or not. I would happily recommend this to a friend, and in fact I already did. It is pretty bulky, but if you have small to medium size business and you need something that will manage a variety of tools you need with one device, this is for you.

Gret printer, very expoensive ink - $100+
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot speak about the longevity of this printer, but its performance is very impressive. Prints and communicates with the desktop quite quickly. The printer is louder than my previous one, but not something obnoxious. I give four stars because ink is so expensive, $100+.

HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e is an all-in-one printer. With this printer you can print from your device over Wi-Fi, you can also utilize a USB to print. You can also send and receive a fax. Printer must be plugged into a phone line. This printer comes with a full set of standard fax features equivalent to a standard fax machine. You can also make copies from the document feeder or the scanner glass top. In an effort to reduce paper usage there is no user manual with the printer, you can download it from a link provided within the enclosed documentation. This download contains all the information you will need to properly set up and install your printer. I actually prefer this method as I can enlarge the print and read it better. This printer takes one black and three-color cartridges. If you signed up for the Instant Ink you will receive them in the mail as needed.
