Mixed Feelings

I have mixed feelings about this printer. On the one hand I love that it can scan and print double-sided. That function works flawlessly for me so far. The problem is that the printer often disappears from the network or just stops working. When it stops working the screen doesn’t respond or it does show up on the network but when I print to it, the printer never prints. to fix it I have to physically unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. I had this happen several times during tax season and as I tried to prepare my taxes, it just added to the stress and frustration.
Another weird thing about it is the paper tray, it’s just strange as the paper stays loose in it, doesn’t have anything to snug the paper from the front to the back and the tray is sloped toward the back. It seems to work but it’s weird and I always feel like it’s not in correctly. The tray is very flimsy, in fact the whole thing feels flimsy.
Overall it’s okay and has some great features but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I have bought HP computers/laptops/printers since 1992. The first HP printer I bought to work with a PC Junior! This model has all-in-one features. The speed of printing is good. The menu display instructions are easy to understand, follow, and apply. I do have to mention a few cons: The description states it is quiet. but not. It sounds like the train repair station I live near! The tray holding the printed paper cannot be adjusted . It is not quite long enough to catch the print properly. These factures will not deter me from buying HP Printers again. Although, it would be nice if they could be improved!

Nice printer for small home office

Needed a new printer for a home office to replace an old 8630 that was failing. This printer seems to do the trick. The touch screen is really small and not so easy to use. Finally found an old stylus to use on it. Like most printers, it sometimes loses connection and just needs to be turned on and off again. Not too much of a big deal.

I have been using my HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e for more than a month and really like it now. Because I'm very old, set up was a challenge until I finally found the printer's PIN number in very small print on a sticker on the inside of the front door--you must have this number before you attempt set up! Once set up was completed I was able to connect my two desktops and two laptops with no problem. This printer replaced my 10-year-old HP 8630 and the noise level seems about the same--though the 9125 seems to go through more gyrations before it begins printing. The paper tray is very sensitive to being over-filled and will give you a "Needs paper" error message if you over-fill. HP has a very complete user guide available online and I suggest downloading and printing it for convenient reference--all the features are not intuitive. This is a home office printer, so I did not subscribe to the Instant Ink program. I ordered my first set of replacement ink cartridges from HP and delivery took about a week. If you order online, be very careful to get HP replacement cartridges. Several places that popped up ahead of HP showed cartridges with the correct numbers, but no HP logo and it just doesn't work. The print, scan and copy features work just fine. I haven't sent a fax in 20 years, but it's there if you need it.

The sales person was helpful to identify this printer to replace the HP9010 which died after a few years of service. The 9125e has the same dimensions as the 9010. Similar to the 9010 it makes noise (rumbling) between print jobs. I am a teacher and print about 50-75 pages a week. My 9010 ink cartriges do not work with the new printer. Thank God I paid for Geek squad because the printer didn't work right away., it took 60-90 minutes of downloads to get it print. Still not scanning multiple pages yet. I may have to call Geek squad again. I am satisfied with my purchase which included the Geek squad subscription

The printer is good quality and worth the price. In the beginning of the scanning was difficult at first but really works fine. Sometimes the printer disconnects from my lap top.

Great since we need to scan and compress, copy and print from remote and wifi and sitting next to it with port attachment. Only thing is Internet every night have to turn on and off to get reconnected in mornings to Internet and computer and printer

This printer is doing a valuable job for me since I cannot enter my office in my wheelchair, but can wireless print from the den in my home. I have aides bring me printed papers, and refill the paper tray. Thanks for designing a reliable printer.

works well; quiet, quick, fair price
Only disappointment: When we got the printer home, we realized it doesn't have an automatic feed for copying originals that multiple pages. The lid has to be lifted, and each page to be copied must be manuallly placed on the screen. We wish that had been obvious at purchase time, but we didn't ask about it.

Print quality is excellent. Printer is easy to use and can be accessed from all my electronic devices. The only thing I don't like is the short extender for the tray where the printed paper exits the printer.

I LOVE this sturdy printer! Duplexes without jamming, print quality is excellent, and easily and cleanly prints large documents containing full color pages. I use it at home for everything and anything! Scans well, too! It’s the best HP printer I have had yet! I also added Instant Ink (as I have done so for years), AND included the paper this time since I’m enjoying the printer. It’s eco-friendly and sustainably sourced paper, too! So glad I chose this woth the help of a Best Buy employee!

I upgraded my HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 series to an HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e series. Just like it's predecessor you have the option to subcribe to InstaInk. This model of printer will come with 3 months free, then you may cancel. The setup for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e is pretty basic. I first followed instructions on the printer. Add the printer ink cartridges and run an alignment sheet. I added the printer to my home network . I then used the HP+ Smart app for Windows pc to install. I chose add a printer option and the printer was added to my HP account.
The printing is very good, colors are very vibrant. When copying, the colors are very vibrant. The scan photos and documents are true to real color. This printer prints up to 11" x 14". It has one paper tray that pulls out. You can feed paper through the top feeder tray to copy or scan.
You can set this printer up using the HP+ Smart app, or scan or copy and paste the barcode on the setup guide. The HP+ Smart app is available in the AppleStore, Google Play, or Windows for PC store.
Highly Recommend. Great for a Small Home Office.

Hp could do better

Replaced an older HP with this one, and found it exceedingly hard to connect and get all functions working. HP support is somewhat difficult to reach by phone, and the printer requires an app to be used. =/. This doesn’t appear to be a necessary feature…since it was never necessary before. Makes one feel that HP is tracking all our activity. Not real comfortable with that.
As for the Free 3 months of Ink, we may never get this since the app wont open it, and keeps throwing out an error, and its support team claims its got to be “reset
This would then be the 4th reset since we’ve owned this machine…and the 5th tech we’ve spoken to at HP… and it means having All devices in the same place, and likely another long session on the phone to get everything done. Maybe it’s not worth it since other reviews state HP sends the ink when HP wants to, not when the customer wants it. The ink runs quickly, and then the agents at HP will have you printing like crazy, “just to make sure”. It’s a little like a game after a while…”how much of your ink can we use to get you to buy more. =(.
Nothing against Best Buy, but maybe this deal wasn’t the smartest one.
