I bought this laptop on the recommendation of many positive YouTube videos and was pretty satisfied with the price to performance ratio. I would say the screen flex thing everyone talks about is really not an issue at all unless you're going to be throwing it in a backpack and compressing it. For everyone else using it at home or in a laptop bag I think there isn't anything to worry about. The adapter gets scuffed and scraped SUPER easily so be careful with it if that sort of thing bothers you. On carpet or soft surfaces you will be fine but tile and hardwood expect that plastic to show wear very quickly. As in under a week. And I'm careful with my electronics. Anyway I had to take the first one back because the screen was locked in at 100% brightness and couldn't be lowered. No driver update, no BIOS update or roll back, no Windows reset was able to fix it. Since it was still in the return window I brought it back for an exchange. The second laptop did not have this issue and gaming was smooth and problem free with cool temperatures for about two weeks. The laptop started spiking into 80+c while plugged in and over 100 while gaming, which is pretty much the opposite of what everyone says is supposed to happen with this laptop. So it's back in for warranty repair. Most of the reviewers seem pretty happy with it so my experience may just be bad luck. I have seen a few other people mention these issues here and there though so it's not just me. You might think its just a thermal paste issue but while plugged in the laptop would randomly boost all cores to Max and get above 80 for no reason before dropping back down while showing 1% usage. When unplugged this didn't happen. Changing the performance profiles in software settings didn't make any difference. Hopefully HP will be able to sort out the problem, but it'll be a few weeks before I find out. When it works the keyboard lighting is nice, the cpu is fast and powerful, and the laptop ran quite cool during gaming.

It's works quite wells; I'm suprised how competent it's. The trackpad is buggy though thats a big no no.. but most people are probably just gonna game on this laptop and just buy a mouse. The Keyboard is okay.. it's not the best but no the worst. The quality build is pretty great except the buggy trackpad. I would reccomened this if you buy it for sale but I would not; if you buy the laptop on its orginal price. I bought it for sale so it's pretty worth it for me.

Overall, It works great. It has great specifications, boots up fast, And while not a frontrunner in battery life, It works adequately. While under moderate load, It has fan noise but keeps itself well below temperature. Frankly, This is a great computer for its price. So far I have not done or planned to do intensive tasks such as photo/video editing, but it works great for simple browsing and moderate gaming. I really do appreciate the fast RAM and processing

It's a great laptop. Plays all my games very well. Had no trouble with Gears 5, Doom Eternal, and old Skyrim looks better than ever. Does everything I need it to do. My only problem is the screen. Seems like it could break any time; very flimsy. Still giving it 5 stars instead of 4, as 5 is a closer representation of the laptop IMO. Great value for the money spent.

Everything about this laptop is perfect and runs the games I play just fine. From the 144hz screen to the smooth touchpad mouse and the nicely spaced keyboards and great thermals, couldn’t ask for more. I just wish that there was more screen support. Since the screen is made from plastic it tends to have lots of flex. Since I use it mainly on my desk connected to a monitor it doesn’t really matter for me but for those who are heavy mobile, it may bother you.

Im a gamer...I own a high end PC but wanted to be able to play on the road away from home. This laptop does it and it does it well at a pricepoint that wont break the bank. I have been running CoD Cold War at Meduim to High settings with 100+ FPS. The 144hz screen looks great too. Dont spend 1000+ more for a 2070 when this 1660ti/ryzen combo will do the trick.

I love this laptop, it runs just about anything I want to play, including physics-heavy games like BeamNG Drive. Its a bit noisy but what can you expect when you pack that much power in a laptop. My only regret is not springing for the higher quality display.

Pros: chassis dissipates heat really well, keyboard is good, build quality good (despite plastic lid). Cons: screen flex, bulky (although this helps with cooling), hot power brick. Overall, I would recommend the Omen 15. I tested several laptops over the past few months and this one stood out. 2021 model looks even more promising.

I’ve had the laptop for almost a month, and it has not failed me in a single task. When gaming, the laptop tends to stay cool, however, if you’re playing a AAA game then you will notice the fans get a little louder than other games, but if playing with a headset then there are no worries. Lastly, the battery is alright, but it’s recommended to play plugged in.

I’ve had this laptop for almost a month now and the 144 hz screen really does it for me. Gaming looks smooth and is definitely capable running 100+ FPS on a lot of games. Also, for the price I got it which is under 1K felt like an absolute steal. Also may be good for other work as well since it has an AMD CPU. I plan to use this for programming too.

Powerful laptop. There is a second M.2 slot, I added a second NVME hard drive. Early on I had issues with Realtek audio driver with windows update, HP and Microsoft both provided some phone support, more recently windows updates have been ok re this. I am not a gamer but laptop can handle editing 5K RAW video.
