Super impressed with this laptop. My first HP after years of being on the struggle bus with Dell. I was looking for something with lots of storage, that was good for a casual gamer, and something I could use for work all for under a grand and this fit the bill perfectly. I've had it for about 6 months and cannot complain.

Excellent laptop that can be used for gaming or entertainment.

So i just bought this laptop for the Black Friday Sale and went to pick it up today, when i go home set it up and then plug in the battery i noticed the battery icon would charge for 5 seconds and suddenly shows it stop charging!?!? Then i re-adjust the charging position and make sure i tighten the power cord but this problem still happened.... Second of all, i plug in the mouse(wired) and it would randomly freezes for like very 6 seconds when i move around my mouse... did anybody have these two issues as well ? Can i please get an explanation from the HP Support , thank you.

Great laptop! Fast and plenty of storage. Runs MS flight sim very well. Only complaint is that the edge where your palms rest when typing is unusually sharp. This edge needs to be rounded. Not a big deal for me because I keep lid closed and use with external monitor and keyboard. For under $1000, it’s hard to beat this laptop.

Love this laptop by HP. Bought this on Black Friday sale for 950 bucks which in my opinion was a great deal! Would say that if your going to buy this particular laptop, for his original price 1300 dollars I would say pick something else for the same price but better specs. Use it every day from Video editing to doing gaming on high settings at 144hz. A key thing about this laptop is it’s clean and optimal 144hz refresh rate sceen. If your entry level gamer that plays GTA, Fortnite and other highly intensive games, you should have no problem getting that 144hz on medium and high settings. Another thing to take away is that super strong Ryzen 74800H Processor. It has no problem handling the video editing and actually through research, this will actually give you 3-5 more FPS on average than its same Intel counterpart. 1660 ti is also powerful. One thing to do is that make sure before you game, update the graphics driver. I played a game and it started crashing a lot I went to Nvidia website downloaded driver, and it was fine after that. Overall it’s a great laptop if you get it for the right price. For sure would recommend to a friend, great job HP!! Great job Best Buy!

Great laptop, the processor is a beast and the graphics card can handle any game with high settings. Ultra fast booting speeds and the 1TB ssd is amazing. Thermal performance is great for a laptop it never gets hot even during gaming. So far I didn't have any issues. If you're looking for an awesome gaming laptop this is it.

This laptop is so much faster than the two Lenovos we currently have in the house. We signed in and registered quickly and downloaded Google Chrome all within the first 15 minutes of turning it on. The games that were laggy on the other laptop are great on this one. It's only been one day, but I'm highly satisfied, so far.

I bought this laptop for both gaming and starting college. It runs almost every game perfectly on high settings and processes all digital arts and charting softwares with no hesitation. BestBuy gave a great student discount and AMD gave a free copy of Assassins Creed: Valhalla with the purchase. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!!!

Excellent for mid range gaming, great bang for your buck

I have been using this computer for about 10 months by this point, and while the computer is indeed a powerhouse with its GPU, CPU, and RAM, I have encountered a few issues regarding its use. I have had issues when the device goes to sleep and it then renders the start menu unusable, and many other issues that causes me to fully reboot the computer, which is a speed bump but it was something I was able to work around easily, although it was annoying. Just in the past few days, however, My device has completely slowed down for an unknown reason. The mouse input has started to become unresponsive, either through touch pad or external mouse, the computer takes ten minutes to fully boot, and programs are slow to respond, if they do at all. I do not install any unknown programs, have computer security installed, and have ensured that there are no programs sucking up usage without my knowledge, as well as limiting startup programs. I am hoping I do not have to bring this into a Geek Squad location to have this serviced, and it is just a hiccup.

The SSD makes it much faster than than HDD. Kinda wish it was a 17 inch. Since my stroke its hard to see the smaller screen but thats my own problem I'm sure its not a problem for others. It just would have been nice option. Now just have to wait and see the longevity it has. I've never never had a HP computer before.

This is one of the nicest, full featured gaming laptops I've ever had the pleasure to own. The build is strong a d the components within are solid. I also added an additional 3yr with accidental damage with HP for $180...This laptop was a steal @$949..For Black Friday.. Hope u enjoy yours whatever the cost...

This is an amazing gaming laptop, I use it for my Laser Engraving business, the power and speed of laptop makes my designing a breeze, I can run 5 designing programs at once and never run out of memory, clear and vibrant display, sleek design, I would highley recommend is laptop.

Having a great experience with this laptop. Excellent thermal management. Can play all the games I can throw at it on high settings. (Note, had to exchange the first one because it experienced stuttering after software update that couldn't be fixed with a refresh, but the new version is amazing and perfect)

Bought this for my wife to replace her old laptop and not exclusively for gaming. This is a very fast computer, although it does get a bit warm under loads at times, and the fans can be a little loud. Battery life is about 3-4 hours while gaming with full screen brightness and keyboard illuminated.

Bought the laptop during black friday so it was a big steal to be honest. I like the options to customize the settings so you can go between gaming and school work. The night light setting is also great for long gaming sessions to place less strain on your eyes. Games on it look amazing as well.

I could've got something better if I just build a desktop pc, I know, but I need the laptop for college and it's powerful enough for the things I do! Great for gaming and 10/10 as a working station due to the Ryzen 7. The keyboard it's a little bit weird, but it's ok, I use an external keyboard insteda.

This laptop is a beast of a machine. AMD experience has been amazing... but the window's key stopped working out of no where. At first the omen key would stop working but reinstalling the program fixes the issue. However with this windows key bug, nothing seems to work. Resetting the program, reinstalling the driver.. nothing. Anyone else facing this issue? Buyer beware.

Needed a computer with a great video card and a large SSD. This HP fits the bill. I've usually purchased only Dell computers, but decided to take a chance on the HP. It doesn't seem to be quite as "substantial" as a comparable Dell, but it is a very nice computer. Great video, very fast processor.

Runs most games at ultra high graphics settings. Battery goes out very fast while gaming and doesn’t last that long while watching movies. I recommend having a backup battery while away from power outlets. Definitely worth buying and would again. The quality is very high. Can honestly say it’s the best laptop I have ever owned.
