This laptop provides the best value for most gamers on the move. The current gen AMD Ryzen 7 is a killer CPU for this laptop, and the 1660 Ti is a beast. However, the true value in this laptop has to be the 1 TB SSD. WOW! That's a very generous storage capacity at this price point. Not only that, but it plays an integral part in the performance of gaming. Load times are reduced massively thanks to the SSD. Currently I've ran Overwatch, City Skylines, CIV 6, and Forza Horizon 4. Most of those games are not considered incredibly intensive for your system. However, they all ran SMOOTH. I was especially impressed with how Cities Skylines ran after my city grew rather large. At that point your system is being pushed pretty hard. However, the Ryzen 7 really gave it the extra processing boost to keep the game running nicely. I was also very impressed with the 144hz display. Right out of the box the colors were excellent. This is thanks to the fact the display is an IPS instead of a TN display. That is huge. A 144hz IPS display is a really nice feature to have. My only complaint is it only goes up to 300 nits. Not super bright, not terrible either. The cooling system on this laptop is unbelievable. Nearly half of the entire bottom of the laptop is perforated with big RGB fans. The laptop is also the perfect thickness. Not thin enough where the heat will have problems dissipating, also not thick enough to be a brick. The keyboard and track pad are excellent. The plastic used on both are really high quality and almost feel like they are metal. The keys are back lit with zoned RGB which is a nice feature to have. Lastly, this laptop has a very healthy diversity of ports. This is nice for not just gaming, but for using it as a workstation. All in all, I couldn't imagine you being disappointed with this laptop. The features you get are simply in a class of their own at this price point.

I don't know much about computers, but I can tell you that I have no complaints. I know this laptop was considered midrange, in both price and capabilities. As a content creator on YouTube, I use it mainly for video editing and it gets the job done!!

I use this for work, class, and gaming, and despite all the files and downloads, it still runs like a dream. It also has a nice sleek design along with adjustable backlit keyboard for those of you who may have bad eyesight like me. Camera quality could be better when recording, and some audio issues while headphones are plugged in, but it still gets the job done.

So far so good, I've been with this baby for one month and it's been amazing. So happy to finally have a gaming laptop for the first time. Beware tho, this is from someone who casually plays videogames and gives little time to it. If you are a more vivid gamer I don't think that I qualify to tell how good is it if you are really into gaming

Really like this laptop, but the battery does run down quickly.

thermals could be better, I/O is some of the best availability I’ve seen with an additional DP and USB C port. extra m.2 port is nice but would’ve liked the option to also have a sata port for a hard drive or ssd for bigger storage. had an issue where the laptop would randomly blue screen, fixed once I populated the second m.2.

I'm truly blown away at this hardware. My mid-2010 15" MacBook Pro was seriously starting to lag big time and it was time for an upgrade. After months of harsh research and losing hope in Apple, I made the switch to PC. Let me tell you. Apple could never........... This Omen is bada**!

Solid laptop for the price( I got it for 950 duronf BF sale)

The HP Omen is a great laptop. I’ve had it for about two weeks and it has worked like a charm. The battery life is surprisingly good. The screen is way brighter than I thought and ultra smooth. My only concern is that it’s easy for small things to get caught in the intake vent.

I purchased this for my daughter who needed a new laptop. She is loving it. It was the best bang for my buck. This was an openbox geek squad certified so I felt good about the purchase. My daughter loves it. It had the AMD Ryzen 7 and NViDIA GTX 1660TI. I highly recommend.

The size is perfect and the games flow so much better then on my older non gaming laptop. It doesn't seem to over heat even adter hours of game play. The sound is a bit lower then my last but unnoticeable when I use head phones. And the price was wonderful with the sale.

Purchased this laptop because we needed a better processor for image processing during live stream. This machine stood up to the challenge. I stopped looking for a streaming computer. Sometimes I prefer this to the whole system we eventually built out.

Computer runs quiet and quick. Great computer for the money

Amazing specs for the price I paid (US$ 1050,00) after student discounts. The cooling system is great, as I never experienced having the laptop running hot. Probably because of that, the laptop is heavier and the fans get pretty loud. I use it for school, work and casual gaming as an alternative for my more powerful desktop.

This Omen has flawlessly streamed Freedom's Pep Rally with Jon James since I purchased it. Plenty of RAM, VRAM and power in the AMD processor. LOVE this machine! Plus, you can ad to the (16gb) of RAM

I'm beyond happy with the purchase of a gaming laptop for our son. From the start to finish of the purchase all of the employees at the West Hartford store were amazing. Even all the questions my son had the staff answered without any issues

Easy to use love the colorful key board nice screen.

The laptop is a well made laptop, but its got some flaws. Personally I dont like how flimsy the screen is and that is not made of the same material as the the body. But over all is made to sustain a drop and much more. Also the fans, they don't really make a lot of noise, unless you lock them in max fan speed.

Its a great computer. I normally don't buy gaming computers, but I do want to play some games and the other notebooks usually don't support the video requirements. Not sure when it will go on sale again, but the sale price was a definite plus.
