Very uncomfortable to use as the sharp edges and corners scrape under-side of forearms. I'm not a gamer but thought this Omen should be awesome to edit videos, put together photos, create family tree. The finish is matte, which shows finger prints easily, that don't wipe off. There is no DVD player so bought external portable player. It is quiet! No fan noise or loading clicks. There is no right/left click buttons. The touch pad requires a second tap to move an item. Hopefully I will find some hidden tricks in this thing to make it worth the price.

The price on the computer is not the best. Which is why I recommend getting it when it is one sale works for almost any game i can even run Microsoft flight simulator on medium graphics and I still have over 30 fps.

really good build quality but a bit unstable at times gave me hard reboots a couple of times in illustrator it does improve after about 2 months worth of updates though

Bought this laptop while it was on sale for my partner (anniversary present), it's better than I expected! And he really likes it! Good value for the price I got it at (under $1000).

The laptop has a plastic lid and a very nice body. The performance is good but the fan does get loud. It's totally fine with headphones while being alone in a room to not bother anyone.

My first gaming laptop and it is able handle several different games like Bioshock, Overwatch and Dead Space. I have not had any problems. I am happy with the purchase!

This laptop literally plays 99% of the top pc games with little to no issues. I got it at a good price too and it does everything that I need to do on a day to day bases.

I'm very pleased with the ease and precision of which this laptop performs. It's versatility is phenomenal and still learning about the capabilities of what it can do.

Got it on a black Friday, now with over a year of usage. When doing mundane schoolwork that requires little power from the laptop, the fan would still randomly start cooling loud AF - only to calm down after a minute or two. It's like...why? "What am I doing that made you do that?" The worst part that still plagues me to this day is that in the middle of gaming the screen would turn black with the fan still running in the background, telling me it did not shut down. I have to choke the laptop out (turn it off by holding the power button, which is not a good thing to do). Alt tab or other troubleshooting doesn't work. This black out happens at the most random times. It may not happen a lot, but the fact that this happens AT ALL makes me regret this purchase. No gamer wants his pc to randomly black out on them. My older brother bought a Lenovo Legion gaming laptop, and his does not black out on him considering the fact we bought our gaming laptops at the same time. One last thing is that has been happening lately it has been starting up as if I'm a new user. All my homework was gone (but backed up on a cloud). To remedy this, I just have to restart the laptop. It may be a simple fix, but I should have to go through that in the first place. I cannot imagine another person owning this freaking out about what is happening. This has happened about 4 times within the past month. The two stars ["fair"] is just me being generous to the fact this pc acts *okay* as an office laptop rather than a gaming one; but that is not why you are looking at this product. The Lenovo Legion is quieter and loads games FASTER than this one. Definitely avoid this product if you see it's available. Get the Lenovo Legion instead.

Achieved Expected performance for the price. You should ask for another evaluation 6 months or a year after purchase for reliability.

I love my new laptop, it's really easy to and the hardware and software are really good for the price. I have always used HP laptops and this is by far the best HP has ever used.

Overall, a pretty good laptop, but the battery only lasts 2 hours! I realize it's a powerful computer, and also has heat issues to deal with, but only 2 hours?! Pretty pathetic.

Was going to buy this for our church video production and it works great for us. Black Friday prices were so good that we bought the same laptop for the pastor’s office.

I really liked the computer. The only issue that I faced, I do not shut down my computer, instead, I generally use sleep mode. However, when I do not shut down my computer often enough the start menu does not open.

I got a black Friday deal on this thing and wow was I pleasantly surprised! It's a very nice laptop. So nice in fact I'm thinking of buying a second one for my wife.

I love this computer. It is fast easy to get going and doesn't come clogged up with too many unwanted programs. No complaint and I have been using it for 3 weeks now.

this product has let me use the laptop to stream on twitch from and use slobs and stuff. And it plays WWE games well. And I haven't had it even get even a little but hot.

The HP OMEN Gaming Laptop was purchased for a family member who also needed to replace a standard CPU and old laptop. Although, only "gaming" on a limited bases, it has proved to be a nice purchase overall.
