I didn't buy this for myself, however, I did set it all up before giving it as a present. It is "almost" just as good as the HP Spectre that I have which costs twice as much. Keyboard is pleasant to type on. I especially love the colors (3 colors) its laptop provide, very useful and "pretty" in the dark. As for speed, it is very responsive. I didn't try gaming on it though so I can't comment on that. However, I doubt there will be any issues at all. Overall, quite happy with the purchase. Set up was simple.

Purchased this recently and absolutely love it! Handles everything I throw at it with no issues. I’ve used Blender, Unreal Engine, most Adobe CC apps, Cakewalk, and played plenty of games like Fortnite, Spellbreak, Call of Duty Warzone, Dark Souls Trilogy with no issues. My first experience coming back to PC and I can say that it’s a very pleasant one.

Bought for grandson, I’ll have to take his word for it. Says it’s an excellent gaming computer, very fast and the Nvidia GeForce RTX is a great graphics card. With Intel i7 10 gen and Nvidia, you really can’t go wrong. Computer does run hot so I would recommend a laptop cooling pad.

I came from an old Lenovo that just became too slow for me & purchased a defective MSI GE66 (wouldn't charge) & a Razer Blade 15 (ran hot, fans constantly ran, wouldn't stay connected to WiFi) before buying this Omen 15 & so far I'm satisfied. It runs every game I've thrown at it & the cooling system keeps the laptop quiet outside of playing games. It's screen is blazing fast, it could be a little brighter at max setting however. WiFi speeds are great & despite having a plastic lid it seems durable. Nothing compares to the Razer Blade 15's feel & build quality with the CNC metal frame, but coming from an old plastic Lenovo I'm not hard to impress. The RGB keyboard colors appear washed out in my opinion, but after playing with the brightness levels I was able to get a little deeper, richer colors. I had some issues with the initial setup after purchase, the OMEN center software wasn't working along with some other random annoyances. But, I reset the laptop & brought it back to factory status & all of those problems went away. Cons: My biggest complaint is the OMEN center software, mostly dealing with the RGB keyboard. Having 4 RGB zones, you cannot link all the zones to get them all exactly like the other for a single colored static keyboard. The 'advanced' option to change colors doesn't give you any indication as to where your levels are set. An example would be moving the brightness slider could easily display a percentage, like 35% or any percentage at all. It doesn't. (See picture for reference) When you move the slider on the color bar, it gives you no indication of what the color level you're at. So it's nearly impossible to get all the zones the exact color & brightness without using the basic preselected colors. I've resorted to selecting a preselected color then move into advanced & use the arrow keys & count the clicks in color & brightness to match all the zones to my liking. There's absolutely no reason a user should have to do all that. Adding a link zones & some indication about brightness percentage & where you're at on the color scale would make it really easy. Overall it's a good laptop for the price, they could have put a 144hz or 240hz screen to make it a bit more affordable as the RTX 2060 isn't really going to make the 300hz panel that noticable for most players. Maybe if you're a Fortnite player, you'll get great FPS with the 2060 - 300hz combo as it's not graphics heavy. I'd recommend this laptop based on my experience so far. HP just needs to update OMEN center software to make it more user friendly & not a pain to simply control the RGB keyboard.

Is really good laptop the quality is really good for the price. It doesn't feel cheap at all. Gaming in some games you won't be able to play in ultra Setting but in high you should be fine average frame is between 60 to 120 in most of the game now day 2020 like for example Microsoft flight 2020 I get in average 65 to 90 in most cases call of duty I get in around 90 to 130 in high setting Bottom line i really recommend it im very happy with my purchase the only thing I upgrade was a 1tb mm.2 really easy to do Also the read and write is amazing speed super fast

I would buy HP Omen again & wish they had the 17" at the time I bought mine. However, I found that I could compensate screen size by attaching laptop by WiFi, Bluetooth or an HDMI cord to a Smart-TV. Laptop is very fast...executes command as fast as you can type or say it, whether you are just surfing the internet or playing a game on it. In addition, they added Bang & Olufsen speakers on laptop. I get good quality sounding out of it & love to listen to music while I am working. Screen picture quality is excellent! I highly recommend item and find it to be a Solid piece of equipment. Great specs: Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 512GB SSD + 32GB Optane. I enjoy when I turn on the keyboard & it lights up in multi-colors, which you can choose to keep on or turn it of. It's good for night use. The only thing I found with laptop & it's really not a problem, it's more of a want...is the battery life. I wish it could last longer than 3-4-hrs. In fact, I don't think there is a battery out there yet for me. I live on this thing...I mean literally. I found the price was comparable to the market. Overall, I am very please with my purchase whether your Beginner, Gamer or Muli-user. You will enjoy!

Pricey. However it’s an absolute unit, I would definitely recommend but it’s my first personal gaming laptop so I’m beyond happy with it, this seemed to be the best specs for the price point and can’t find any complaints about it myself. I use it for games and college so it’s definitely dual capable. I paired this up with a curved monitor and a redragon keyboard and mouse. It looks really nice and is so much better than using just the laptop, would recommend to also get those.

I get more fps in Warzone on this laptop to my desktop (6700k & gtx 1080). Make sure you catchup on all windows updates before running games - otherwise fps is unstable. No numpad on this one. It seems delicate and if I was still in college I would be very hesitant to use it for school. It's doable but you really need a protective case or backpack. Something designed to keep a device like this safe. Runs 82 degrees on almost every game. Fans do get loud like others say, and there is significent backlight bleeding on mine. The usb ports seem a little too sensitive, so if I tug something plugged in just half a milimeter..it disconnects. Meaning accidentally bumping directly into a plugged in USB device (bluetooth dongle, flashdrive etc) could cause me to have to reconnect. Not an issue while stationary, but on my lap or on couch I can see that being an issue. I use it bought it so I can sleep over friends/family's houses and still be able to game, and it fulfills that perfectly for me. It's great having the freedom to spend more time with family and not skip a beat on weekend nights! I bought a proper backpack to keep it safe as I do worry about it's physical durability during transport. Overall happy with the laptop as it is a beast for gaming and that is it's sole purpose for me.

I bought this laptop about 3 months ago. I didn't buy it to play games, I bought it because I wanted a real laptop (not a hybrid tablet), and not something that would break down on me. In an age when every laptop recommended to me is some touch screen hybrid tablet (looking at you surface pros) this was the only thing that I thought would do what I wanted it to do. I use it for school, and I use it for zoom calls etc. It is a gaming laptop, yes but for what I use it for the specs exceed the need. The biggest complaint I have about this laptop is that the camera (webcam) that comes on it is awful. However, this can be fixed with an external webcam. So if you plan to use it for school, get another webcam. Also, the finger prints leave noticeable residue on its pretty black sleek exterior. Small complaints though when you compare this to the other laptops on the market right? Now what do I like about it? Well when you put it on battery saver mode and not use the lightened up keys, the laptop lasts for a pretty long time. If you take it off that? Not so much. The wifi on this thing barely ever drops on me, and I think this could be because of my internet connection and not the laptop. This was an issue I came across a lot when I read up on other laptops so this was a pretty big one to me. I mean its a gaming laptop so it would make sense that the internet wifi connection wouldn't drop on me during an online exam (which it hasn't). This laptops fast. I mean it is fast. Off battery saver mode and at 100% performance I ran it playing music in the background, watching videos, and writing a paper without any lag in between. Occasionally if I put too much stuff on it the audio would chop for a split second but then it would go back to normal. Now the thing I didn't realize would be a total game changer for me was the screen. I didn't realize that gaming laptops come with a matte screen (typically), which means that you can look at a screen longer. Since it was intended for gaming purposes and long extended sessions, this laptop apparently came with that type of screen. Why is this a big deal? Because if you are working from home, doing school work and staring at the screen for 14 hours a day like I did, (because my textbooks were all read online only) you will actually be able to do that without messing up your eyes. This laptop comes with 3 usb ports. Which I found really useful because I could plug in a mouse, a webcam, and a usb thumb drive in there all at once. And it didn't crash on me either. Graphics on it is pretty good too. The keyboard feels nice, and I can type at 100 wpm. I notice some people saying their W key goes bad. Mine hasn't. Then again I'm using it for laptop use and not gaming. Also, this laptops pretty cold. But make sure you put something underneath it so you can let it ventilate properly. It overheats if you put it flat on the table (like every laptop does). The fans can be controlled so it might not overheat if you decide to go crazy and not put a book underneath it. The screen's lid is pretty heavy and stays where you want it to go, even with a logitech webcam on top of it (yes can confirm a logitech camera will mount on it and not make it fall flat on its face). So what can I say? This thing is a pretty good laptop for school use/business use. Pretty ironic that I used a gaming laptop to do all those things reliably, but for what its worth, it does those things reliably! If something goes wrong I'll update the review. For what I can say is that if you want a real laptop, this is probably your best bet.

This laptop's pretty great. I originally purchased the AMD model but ended up returning it for the Intel model, after spending some time with the Ryzen model I think I'm able to make a fair comparison. The Ryzen model is definitely better in terms of thermals and productivity. If you're not buying it for gaming and mainly for office work/multitasking and a side of gaming, then go for the Ryzen model as it'll serve you better, if purchasing mainly for gaming, go the Intel route, yes, the thermals are slightly worse, but the gain in FPS from both the CPU and the GPU is worth it, and it's not a HUGE difference either, I'm talking about a couple of degrees more if you choose the "Performance" profile. The screen on the Intel version has a higher refresh rate than the current Ryzen model(300hz on Intel vs 144hz on Ryzen) The speakers sound ok, use headphones. The battery is ok, definitely don't game without having it plugged in. The laptop comes with a 512GB NVME with 32GB of Intel Optane built into it, this makes it INSANELY fast, there's space for an additional NVME, both NVME slots come with their own thermal shields(yay!:D) The keyboard is 4-zone RGB. The screen does have some flex, but it's not a problem to me. I carried the Ryzen one around in my backpack and had no issues whatsoever. So in short:Get the Intel version if all you do is gaming, get the Ryzen one if you're doing multitasking with a side of gaming)

I have had countless gaming laptops over the years and speak from experience. I generally stay away from the main brands because the load them up with a bunch of crap and the hardware isn't all that great. So when I saw this pop up at the $1300 dollar mark, I wasn't expecting much. I figured I would run it through my 3D mark benchmarks and would see minimal increased from my existing 980GTX laptop with full sized desktop processor. It easily doubled my performance. I haven't had a single problem with the system yet. It does appear that the power supply does not provide enough power to keep the battery fully charged while playing although I have never seen it drop below 70% or so after hours of playing. The top of the keyboard does get hot and yet the bottom is super cool. The thermals are pretty amazing. For the money, I do not think you can get a better performing laptop. Here are my 3D Mark scores for this laptop: 34330 Sky Diver 38880 Night Raid 14590 Fire Strike 5785 Time Spy

Good gaming computer . Starts up fast and keeps up with games. Loud fan and seems a little hot so I had to buy a fan for under the laptop . Keyboard lights up which is cool. Power adapter overheats I ordered a new cord but still same. Only time will tell for a true review it's only been a month but so far it's good.

I didn't buy a laptop for gaming. I wanted a laptop that I could use for creating learning videos. A gaming laptop seemed to fit the bill without breaking the bank. I did a ton of research to find a laptop with all the features I wanted. I wanted a fast processor, a fast video card, 16GB of memory, an SSD, Thunderbolt and HDMI, speakers and audio out jack and a decent screen, and a decent operating temperature. This one is the only one I could find that had everything I was looking for AND got great reviews. When I first got it, I ran benchmarks and this thing is blazingly fast. Everything went great for a week. Then, I disconnected from the power supply and took it into another room. The screen was black and the laptop was off. I found out later the battery was dead and was not charging. I called HP. They took really good care of me. They fixed it in a week and even called back later to check on things and sent me a free set of headphones for my trouble. In the meantime, I had added some software for making my videos, drawing, CAD, etc. At some point, the speakers quit working. I searched online and found that Windows 10 has tons of problems with audio. I tried everything I could find as far as troubleshooting and couldn't fix the problem. In the process of troubleshooting, I realized that I couldn't get audio from any source; HDMI, headphone jack, USB, etc. I called HP again. I shared what I had already done. The technician was very helpful and knowledgeable. He indicated that I did everything they would have done, so I needed to send it in again. I asked if they had seen many problems with this model, and he indicated that they have had hardly any returned. Today I call saying they need to re-image the hard drive. Of course this means that I lose all the software that I had installed over the last few weeks and will need to do it again. So far, all I can say is that I have spent most of my time thus far either setting up the laptop with the software I need, or without it. Again, when it works, it is really fast and reliable. After I get it back, I will spend the next week or so reloading software. I'm hoping the re-image will fix the problem as that step is a really big inconvenience. I am also hoping that maybe I just got unlucky and others have a better experience. My biggest concern is that I don't know what caused this last problem, and since I don't, could it happen again. As the title says, the jury is still out. If I hadn't had any trouble with the laptop, I would have rated it in 5 gold stars! I am rating it a 3. I'm not sure if I can edit this review or not. If I can, I will update it once I have had it back for a month or so.

Nice phone. I had to return my first A51 because some odd lines developed on the screen within a few minutes of use. The return went smoothly. I bought the same phone. It has only been 2 days, but this one is working fine, nice clear screen. I use my phone for infrequent calls, messaging, as a GPS, for news, FB, an occasional photo, and not much else. I have only taken a handful of pictures to test the camera. They all look good. At this point I would buy it again. I can't really give the phone a 5 for quality because of the screen issue with the first phone. My last phone was a Samsung and it served me well. I give it a 5 for quality.

To Start off I had an Old Dell G5 Gaming Laptop that was aged. I needed to be able to keep up and play games smooth. Since I wanted to play Flight Sim 2020 and could barley play it on my old laptop I needed to make sure the new one would. This HP has checked all my boxes when it comes to playing any game out now as well as FS2020 on High End and Ultra (Ultra dips a little although still playable.) Fortnight plays all at max settings as well as every other game I play. Only 2 gripes I have is the storage, 512 is ok... But with the extra M2 SSD slot I added a 1TB for $150 that oddly is much faster then the stock 512 :) and the second is the lid hinges... If you lower the screen to half it slowly closes and shuts the machine off. Other then that it is fantastick.. I love it.

The keyboard is a major problem! Every now and then it doesn't register your keypress. It doesn't happen super commonly, but it's often enough to cost victories in games. This kind of spottiness is not acceptable for a gaming laptop. I sent mine to HP for repairs. they replaced the whole keyboard, but the problem is still there. Judging by things people are saying on different forums, this is a very common problem, so beware. Other than that fatal flaw, it's good. I really like the way the keyboard feels - There's a fair amount of travel considering it's a laptop, and the keys are nice and snappy without sounding clicky. The track pad is fine, I guess. After not too long, it started feeling slightly loose. It just feels cheap I guess. I always use a mouse so I don't really care, but the track pad doesn't seem great. A lot of people are worried about the screen flex. If you're going to be putting this in a packed bag and carrying it everywhere, you might have some issues, but right now the laptop hasn't been out for long enough to really tell. I will say that, apart from whether it's actually in any danger of breaking, it doesn't make me feel great. Whenever I move my laptop anywhere I feel like it's fragile and I have to be careful about how I grip it. This might be all in my head, but I definitely don't feel that way about other laptops. Might not be a problem at all, but it doesn't put my mind at ease. The battery is not good. It lasts maybe two hours when not doing intensive processing. I haven't timed it, and I keep it plugged in most of the time, but it's life has felt very short the few times I have unplugged it. Not a huge issue for me personally, but it's something you should be aware of. Also, every once in a blue moon, the battery drains a bit when it's plugged in. This has only happened when I'm really pushing it to its limit, and it has only gone down to 95%, so I don't think it's an issue. Still, something to be aware of. The sound is slightly delayed through the speakers, due to whatever enhancements the speakers are using. This isn't a problem for most tasks, it's not really noticeable. For music production, however, it's an issue. Luckily, you can turn the enhancements off in the control panel, and I strongly suggest you turn them off for headphones, while keeping them on for the laptop speakers. The performance is awesome. The RTX 2060 is plenty capable for all the games I run, and the 300Hz screen is super nice, if not total overkill. I'm totally satisfied performance-wise. To summarize, it's a very powerful laptop, but it does feel like they skimped on other areas. The screen flex, battery, and trackpad are cons, but not deal-breakers for me. The keyboard ghosting, however, is extremely disappointing.

The screen image is great. Sound is good too. Touch Pad is too sensitive - jumps around - zooms in and out at the slightest touch. Technician adjusted the setting to not be so sensitive but made little difference. Don't trust the mouse click area will hold up over time - seems iffy. Plastic case on the back of the screen rather than metal - may not last long. It has most of what I wanted - but am concerned about the longevity. It doesn't feel like a computer that will last long.

I bought this for the graphics card. My alienware mx 17 was simply outdates. As a gaming rig this guy moves fast. I can play total war 3 kingdoms at ultra settings without any problem. So far all my games are ultra. Only problem is small ssd drive but upgrades are easy on this guy. The next step up was over 2 k. Super light compared to my alienware. Chassis is rather flimsy but I don't plan on transporting this any time soon. On whole it's as light as a paperback. Fans are tremendous with heat release. Somewhat loud at Max settings but for the size it's expected. Screen has minimal bleed and colors are would. Keyboard has same layout as alien ware with color zones and such. The speed of processor is amazing. I fired up xcom enemy within just for a lark and cut scenes couldn't even play before mission was ready. So far, as a gaming rig, I am very impressed. Since I only bought this for fallout 3 and baldurs gate 3 I think it's massive over kill but I would recommend this to anyone for a solid mid tier gaming laptop. A one terrabite ssd upgrade is 150 and more ram is close to same. All in all not a bad deal.
