I have a beefy desktop worth about 5k with all of 2020s top components, so when I was shopping for a laptop it was a MUST to find something that could play games, design and multitask quickly. THE HP OMEN is amazing, and the price is just the start. It effortlessly runs high quality and ultra settings. Handles ADOBE like a beast and has a sleek design with next level airflow for cooling, and the fans are decently quiet. it felt like a leaf blower out the sides haha! but still stayed quiet!

Good build, feels good, plays great. Needs a repasting for the CPU but everything works well.

Works like a champ.. No issues with it at all it works excellent playing games and surfing the net. Worth the money..

Great laptop it’s definitely as powerful as most desktops I haven’t found a game it can’t handle on full specs.

This is the perfect computer for running very powerful programs like CAD, Photoshop and other architectural programs.

This laptop has the potential to be one of the best for cost to performance ratio but there's some really odd design decisions that keep it from me being able to strongly recommend this to others unless they are saavy enough to work around the shortcomings. First off, this laptop's power supply seems incapable of powering the device properly at full load which means you are going to be losing battery power constantly which is what led me to return this laptop. I've read that there are workarounds but it requires fiddling with settings to lower the power draw of the CPU/GPU which decreases performance. And speaking of the power supply it gets REALLY hot under stress and I don't mean like "Oh that is warm" but more like "OUCH THAT'S HOT". Again I think it's not enough power and it's straining itself under maximum load. Lastly, some reviews and comments I've seen about this laptop is that some models have a major issue with screen brightness where it's completely not adjustable. It appears that it is also a hardware issue where people try everything to reflashing BIOS, Windows, etc. and it still doesn't work. To me, this speaks to QC issues and last thing you want is faulty hardware on your $1000+ laptop. If HP gets these issues figured out they have an amazing product otherwise with great thermals and price to performance being one of the best. If they do, I will happily recommend this to a friend but atm I don't think I can.

Overall really good laptop for the price. I do wish it had 32GB of RAM instead of the 16GB it does have, but I can always buy some later on to upgrade it. I have been getting a blue screen while playing games or streaming video on it, Not sure what is causing it, as the laptop reboots before I can scan the QR code and even telling Windows not to reboot didn't work. I even reset the laptop and started over and still getting the blue screens, just not as often though.

Purchased this so I could go back to school and my hubby could game. Its perfect. Good amount of memory and speed.

Not the very best stats but balanced, let’s me play all the current games I want to play. Which is what I was after.

I admit that this was not my first choice, but when I saw that this laptop was available open box at my local BB for a good price I picked it up, and I'm glad I did. Loving it so far. I'm a moderate gamer, so I did not have a use for top of the line specs. I was looking for a laptop with more bells and whistles, but after using this for a couple of weeks, I don't even miss them.

I was in need of a new computer in a hurry. Being on the road I needed a laptop but I'm a gamer (flight sims mostly) as well. The HP Omen filled the bill perfectly. The young man who assisted me was very knowledgeable and friendly. Took less than 15 minutes to decide on the Omen. I've had it for three weeks now and I'm extremely satisfied with it and Best Buy.
