I’ve had this laptop for just shy of a year and I’ve used it for less than 100 hours simply because of how much I despise it. The laptop boasts an i7 (which scores 800 points higher on the benchmark compared to my CPU in my desktop), a 1050, and 8gb of ram and yet hilariously underperforms at almost every game I’ve thrown at it. It can’t even run Battlefield 3, from 2011, at a consistent frame rate. The laptop has a horrendously slow boot up time, taking anywhere from 5-7 minutes before you’d be able to interact with anything on screen, surely due to the shoddy hard drive that seems to always be at 100% use no matter what. To top this all off, there is a laundry list of bloatware and redundant programs from your friends at HP, Intel, and Microsoft. Just don’t buy this, it looks like a great deal, but it’s just not worth it.

Bought to play fortnite. Computer required an update right out of the box and it took 4 weeks of booting, and rebooting, very slowly, to finally kick in. No, really....four weeks. Even the IT guy at work threw up his hands when I asked him for help. He tried for 3 days... Now that it is actually running, it has very slow processing, gameplay is OK, but for a gaming laptop the graphics are trash. Got so fed up with it that I i got a Nintendo Switch to play the game. and having way more fun, and graphics are killer. Wrote this review from my phone because I didn't want to hassle with booting up the piece of garbage.

Will never buy another Omen computer. worked great for a couple of years then the errors started. Updates do not load no matter what I do to them. I get critical errors every 3 months to the point where the system is inoperable and needs to have a factory reset. I still have an old Windows Vista that works better than this thing. If you like to constantly tinker with your machine rather than play games or surf I guess this is the machine for you.

It's an ok laptop but hp loads it up with garbage apps and it's really slow not much gaming was done with it returned the product

HP is a joke and ripoff. Had this laptop for only 2 years, didn't even play games on it and within 2 yrs the HDD failed. I will never buy another HP. I had my OLD apple laptop for 15 yrs before the HDD failed. Waste of money and time. Time to go back to apple.

You never fixed the computer 3 times I send back to you and now you don't want to do nothing for it, I really disappointed about this product, you have terrible and bad service and guarantee does not exist.

Got this for 750 recently and while the screen bleeds from the bottom a bit too much for the full price point, it's a fantastic computer. I'll be getting more memory and seeing if screen replacements are an option.

The computer was always slow and glitchy and now the motherboard is dead. Did not last 18 months. Do not buy!!!!

I bought this because it met my laptop needs, not necessarily for gaming. The only drawback is the 8 GB of RAM which can be easily upgraded. The unneeded bloatware and Windows 10 features can be uninstalled or disabled freeing up much needed RAM and some hard drive space. I’ve had it for almost a month now with zero problems, malfunctions or issues of any kind. The battery life is decent if you optimize it for that purpose but games will eat through the battery life rather quickly. I mostly play older games that are a few years old and have had zero issues with the GTX 1050. If you’re planning on playing the newest games on high settings then you may want to save up for the model with the GTX 1080 and over cloaked i7. As for work needs it multitasks well with the 8 GB. Upgrading to 16 GB really turned this laptop into the tool it is capable of. I can have multiple browser tabs up, spreadsheets, database, network tools and streaming music without a single hiccup.

Personally, I'm running high settings when plugged in on all games I play, overwatch, pubg, rocket league etc High to medium setting wile unplugged with some frame rate drop but you can get used to it real fast I purchased it on open box for 845$ out the door and love using it as much as my desktop setup The only problem I have is that it is imperative that you purchase a mouse when buying, when attempting to use the track pad (because I forgot to buy a mouse) the trackpad software has "realsense" witch for some stupid reason when pressing Any key ,Wile using the trackpad, will lock the trackpad movement rendering any gaming useless and can't be turned off But after mouse purchase it is a fantastic on the go rig, I'm an out of town construction worker who loves pc gaming and wanted to take it on the road. Built well but can get a warm sometimes but is nothing to worry about

Smooth and Fast. This thing is crazy fast. Omen runs smooth under the hardest demand. Screen looks fantastic, no lags. Love it..
