I’ve been using the HP OmniBook X Flip (14-fm0013dx) for work, notes, and light creative tasks. The headline is portability + ports: it’s light, the 360° hinge is sturdy, and having Thunderbolt 4, a second USB-C, two USB-A, HDMI, and a headphone jack on a thin 14" convertible is fantastic. Performance from the new Intel Core Ultra 5 is snappy for everyday use—lots of Chrome tabs, Office, streaming, and quick photo edits are no problem. Battery life comfortably gets me through a full day of mixed work. The keyboard feels solid and quiet, and the trackpad is accurate. The 14" touch screen is bright enough indoors, and the 16:10 1920×1200 resolution gives a bit more vertical space. Just know it’s not an OLED or wide-gamut panel—colors are fine for general use but not ideal for color-critical editing. RAM is 16GB and soldered (not upgradeable), but the NVMe SSD can be swapped later. I also tested it with a Microsoft Surface Pen (MPP)—inking, tilt, and palm rejection work great; Apple Pencil does not work on Windows. Pros: Lightweight; excellent port selection; fast everyday performance; good battery; reliable pen support (MPP). Cons: Screen color coverage is basic; RAM not upgradeable; speakers are average. Bottom line: If you want a flexible 14" 2-in-1 that’s easy to carry, fast for everyday tasks, and unusually generous on ports, this is a strong pick at the price—as long as you don’t need OLED-level color for pro creative work.

I absolutely love this HP laptop!! It has genuinely transformed how I work and stay productive day to day. From the moment I started using it, everything felt fast, smooth, and effortless, even when multitasking between work applications. The 14” 2K touchscreen is crisp, responsive, and makes long work sessions much easier on the eyes. The 16GB memory and 512GB storage provide more than enough power for work tasks, studying, and personal projects without any lag or slowdown. I primarily use this laptop for work, productivity, studying, and everyday use, and it handles all of it seamlessly. Boot-up is quick, apps run smoothly, and switching between tasks is effortless. The laptop feels lightweight, modern, and well-built, making it easy to use both at home and on the go. Battery life has been reliable throughout my workday, and overall this has been one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. Quick processing, cool dark blue color. Durable, fairly lightweight. Good battery life and excellent display. Only downside is that the hinges are not great/tight, not sure if you are able to tighten them.

I was thinking about getting a framework 12, and then this went on sale for really cheap ($530, with $50 in gift cards back), so I bought this. There's a video on Youtube by HP where they replace all the parts that made me feel a bit better about durability here but we'll see how it is over time. The screen is good enough for me. Speed is really good. When it's unplugged and I'm doing things that aren't really strenuous, it's totally quiet. It does make noise when plugged in (probably from the battery charging). The fan ramping up is somewhat loud, but not wholly unpleasant - it's not high-pitched. I use the 2 in 1 capability and it's great. Usually I use it in reverse mode, to play ... Balatro. I really like the color of the shell, it's much more interesting than the normal 'platinum' color of most things. I also like the way the body's set up - it has this weird platform that makes the laptop a little chunkier/heavier, but it feels nice in the hand/on a lap. The only real downside of that is that the screen is much lighter than the base, which leads to some tension if you hold it by just the screen for any length of time (don't do that!). Works fine with my MPP 1.0 pen. I like the keyboard, but it's very, very shallow: that's why I say you should try it in store first. You want to make sure you're OK with the reduced travel of these keys. But I like it: I'm going to replace the hard drive and reinstall Windows on it and then use it as my main laptop for the next year or more, depending on what else comes out. The battery life is not what I'd heard Lunar Lake was, but it's good enough for me - I keep it at the 80% max 'battery saving' mode and I get about an hour per 10%, which means I can hang out with friends for 5 hours doing things on my laptop without really worrying about it [and if I want to really not worry, I can just ... remove that setting in the BIOS and fully charge].

On the technical side the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor handles multitasking seamlessly and the 16GB of memory ensures that I never experience lag even with dozens of tabs open. The 2-in-1 design is very sturdy and the hinge feels solid when I flip it into tablet mode for drawing or taking notes. I am also really impressed with the battery life because I can get through a full day of use without needing the charger. It is the perfect Copilot+ PC for anyone who needs a powerful laptop that is still light enough to carry around everywhere.

I would recommend this laptop to students, business workers or the creative people like drawing, art stuffs. But be careful if you are looking for color perfect mode, which this one is not for you. And we could do a little bit of gaming. Like I played Roblox and it took some battery life but still functional. I would get like 6 to 7 hours of battery life based on my working scenario because I use it to mostly watch some yt, some Netflix movies or some intensive coding and still gives me the same type of range battery life. This is also one the most good looking PC since others are not modern looking but this thing looks sick and with the atmosphere blue is the color I loced the most and it is pretty cool to see it. And the touchscreen is almost accurate since some clicks take a bit of time to click in the touchscreen but we could use without any trouble. There are some heat when in some gaming like Roblox with high graphics or some graphics intensive Roblox games

Bought this for my wife's trip to Poland. The screen is awesome Setup is fast and painless. Yes it is not a super high end computer, but the battery was great for emails and watching movies on the long flights from Las Vegas to Poland, 16+ hours with only 2, 2 hour layovers. The heat wasn't bad for sitting on a lap, the computer boots fast and runs outlook, excel and PowerPoint fast. Gaming with basic xbox games like gears of war and Madden was good and better than expected for the price. Overall a great value and far exceeded what i expected in a sub 700 computer. Very happy with this purchase.

I wanted something to do some light photo editing, but not to get into on the go video editing, word processing, lots of presentations, light graphic design and it works great, pushing limitations it runs Fortnite at 720p and it's great for Stardew Valley, but I already have something for on the go gaming. The size is great, portable and the chassis looks really durable, I still keep it on its sleeve, the aspect ratio is kinda hard to get acostumed to but still comfortable. The Touchscreen is a pleasant surprise, this laptop has been great for my on the go productivity.

Great lap with a great price. Easy to set up and get connected to my home network. Best buy even price matched 10 days after sale, I saved $200. The OmniBook light weight makes it east to travel with and the battery live is good. This replaced a 6 year old laptop from a competitor and I am very happy with the performance.

This HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 we shared and have enjoyed. The Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and 16GB of RAM keep everything moving fast and smoothly, whether it’s school assignments, videos, research, work, email, or multitasking. There is a bright, very responsive 2K touch screen, and the 2-in-1 flexibility makes it easy for him to operate it in tablet mode, and I prefer it as a basic laptop. We both like that it boots so quickly and that the 512GB SSD loads programs so quickly. Copilot+ features have been surprisingly helpful as well; he’s using them for studies and summaries, and I have used them for short tasks during the day. Battery life is reasonable, but not if both of us use it heavily, so we keep the charger at hand. This laptop, on the whole, has been reliable, simple to share, and sufficient in power for all things school and work related. Great purchase for a family.

I brought a HP OmniBook X few days back and after using it for a few weeks, I’m genuinely surprised at how much power HP fit into such a lightweight machine. The AI features are what impressed me first apps launch instantly, video calls looks brilliant quality with the Ai upgrades, and everything runs smooth even when I have several tasks open. Excellent !! The 14 In. 2 in 1. Copilot & Laptop working real good. It's quick, bright & easy to work with it. The one thing I like the most is - to carry it with me, where ever I go. Being an elderly person, it is very easy and comfortable. I love it !! Last year, I purchased an I-PAD from the same store, and its working nice. I truely believe - go to Best Buy for your Best Electronics !

Yes I wanted something portable and this laptop came handy. I was looking for a laptop with memory of 16gb at an affordable price. I love the display, it's touchscreen too.

This was a gift for my daughter and we couldn’t be happier with the choice. I didn’t want a basic “starter” computer that she would outgrow in a year or two. She loved the sleek design, keyboard and amazing display along with the versatility of switching between being a standard laptop or tablet style. I’m happy with the hardware features and design. Battery life is great. Overall good computer with great design and display with excellent AI integration for the price. Good for a family laptop and amazing for starter computer that won’t be outdated next year.
