Screen and brightness are very good, but the biggest downside is the keyboard. It’s not even flat, the S and D keys sit higher, and the C, V, and F keys sit much lower. This causes unwanted typing errors almost every time.

I really liked this machine, in use and spec wise. A very balanced combination of top line features for a non-gaming laptop. I have been using a couple of gaming laptops over the past few years for general purpose with some minor gaming here and there, my biggest gripe was the constant fan noise to keep the machine cool. Understandable given that they come with a discreet GPU which generates too much heat, but all being said this time I decided to opt for something without the GPU but with good specs and will be comparing it with them. Specs are nice with a 16" OLED screen with dynamic refresh rate and Core 9 CPU (no virtual cores on this one), 32 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD, Wifi 6E (7 would have been future proof but not a big ommision). It offers everything and more, the integrated GPU is decent enough to play some games on medium setting but that is not something I am planning to do. After two weeks of use, I can confirm that this thing runs much cooler under typical workload. It is snappy and performance wise I have no qualms using it. The battery last longer, there are ample ports including a 40G USB C and a HDMI port, so you do not have to carry a dongle like a surface or some other 13"-14" super slim books. This is still slim and light, but HP really tried to maximize the ROI on this machine. One thing I will complain about is the keyboard, it is not bad, but it could have been so much better given how wide the machine actually is. My 15" Lenovo gaming laptop was able to fit a full numerical keypad without getting too narrow but here not only we do not have a numpad, but the arrow keys are also half size, the space bar is a tad smaller and there is just so much space left unused. It will take a bit getting used to and right now I am making some mistakes, and it would have been such a perfect machine for a lot of people. There are two big speaker grills on both side of the keyboard, the speaker still sounds mediocre which is expected from in built speakers and if you are using this beautiful OLED screen to watch some movies or shows, you are better served with a headphone or an external speaker. They could have moved the speakers down and instead put this area to expand the keyboard a bit. I have enabled the co-pilot screening but do not notice it making the machine slow but that may manifest in few months. It has the NPU, and I have not seen it being engaged in day-to-day usage. In summary a really snappy and cool running machine even while charging, you can have some really good specs and that will future proof you for many years. The keyboard will take some getting used to but other than that a very pleasant experience.

The computer is fine but the geek square did a horrible job transferring all my stuff from the old computer. They put my old computer in one file and the programs that normally open them can’t find them. I’m lost because I spent all this money and can’t use the new computer. 5hey did get my email going but it’s sure isn’t working the way the old computer worked

The OmniBook X Flip is a good laptop that tries to accomplish a bit of everything. With the screen that looks like it belongs on a gaming machine, the RAM and storage of a productivity powerhouse, and the form factor of an ultraportable, it is clearly making a strong play for the generic daily driver market. And while this does have some advantages, it does perhaps hold it back from being a truly great machine. One thing I do have to give it is that it makes a good impression taking it out of the box. The metal case (which does a very good job of repelling fingerprints, FYI) makes for a subdued and elegant silhouette, and the large OLED screen is absolutely gorgeous. Going through the initial setup process took about an hour, most of which was spent going through automatic updates, and once it was set up the machine was reasonably responsive. It does ship with a fair amount of what I'd characterize as bloatware, which definitely drags down performance out of the box, but once you strip that out its performance is pretty good for a mobile i9 ultra and battery life is much better than I'd usually expect from an Intel chip. The ARC integrated graphics can easily handle some light gaming, though the Omen gaming app (which tries its best to use "AI" to optimize gaming performance) will point you to cloud gaming services if you want to do anything too ambitious. Unfortunately this is also when I began to notice some things that I was less than impressed by. Build quality here is a real mix. With a machine this large and this thin some amount of flexibility is pretty much unavoidable, as not even the metal case can deal with all the leverage it'll have to deal with, but even by that standard this thing bends very easily. It's better when the screen is closed or in tablet mode, as the magnets holding the screen in place are quite strong and it seems to help brace everything, but this is definitely not a machine I'd want to be carrying around in a bag without a case, ideally a hard case, to keep it safe. I also have to say that the keyboard is surprisingly poor. While the scissor switches feel fine on their own, there are a lot of keys that for reasons I can't quite figure out are sitting at different elevations or slightly skewed. Normally I wouldn't be too concerned about this, as good keyboards on laptops are pretty rare to begin with but given that this is a convertible and the keyboard is going to be somewhat regularly located on the back of the machine, sliding around on your arm or leg as you use it as a tablet, I have some definite concerns that these uneven keys could lead to something getting caught and popping off. I do think that this has the potential to be a decent daily driver for some people - particularly given the quality of the touch screen that would make it a great option for artists when paired with the optional pen (which is not included.) But with the build quality issues I've run across I think it's probably best for those who only plan to occasionally travel with it.

It’s a fantastic companion for professionals who also want powerful entertainment on the go.

Good at hardware. But the very uncomfortable keyboard, because of the speaker steals all the space from the keyboard.

I would like to express my disappointment with the HP device. The camera is producing a blurry image, making it unsuitable for use on Microsoft Teams. I brought the product to Best Buy, where it was determined to be a hardware issue with HP. Unfortunately, it would need to be shipped for repairs, estimated to take approximately six weeks, during which I would have no laptop access. As an alternative, I had to purchase an external camera to perform my meetings. Additionally, the device has experienced occasional lock-ups. Based on these experiences, I would not recommend this product.

It's ok, not like Lenovo. I want that instead. Not build to the same quality.

The HP OmniBook X Flip is, without hyperbole, one of the most stunning hybrid laptops I've been able to try out, and while all devices have their flaws, the level of versatility and balance delivered here makes it a compelling option across a wide demographic from students to businesspeople to general office workers. At base level, this machine is intended to first and foremost be a laptop and also a tablet, and whereas some so-called 2-in-1 devices tip too far over in either direction, the OmniBook X Flip somehow succeeds in finding an unexpectedly natural equilibrium between the two. Design-wise, it comes across as professional, functional, and contemporary without feeling too obtrusive or over-the-top, and what first catches your eye is the 360-degree hinge which enables you to flip the screen back all the way to several modes—standard laptop mode to type out essays or reports, tablet mode to sketch out or take notes, tent mode to present, or stand mode to stream movies or work in cramped quarters. This adaptability makes it a full-fledged chameleon in everyday life, and somehow the hinge feels strong and solid, which is great because so many hybrids suffer here with frequent use. The touchscreen monitor is also a highlight—sharp, clear, and super-responsive with touch input smooth and accurate regardless of scrambling through notes, drawing diagrams, or just mindlessly browsing as necessary. For students out of high school or college, just this aspect makes it super handy, as you're able to take notes with your stylus or even directly with your finger right across the monitor, annotate documents or papers, or instantly draw things out in class with ease. It obviates having to carry both a tablet and laptop, removing weight from your backpack and streamlining your workflow. It's uncommon to find something with so many uses and still feels perfectly comfortable doing so many things, and isn't that what makes this so special? For the college crowd, it's basically the ultimate study assistant; for business owners, it's a traveling office and slide-presentation powerhouse; and for professionals, it's an everyday go-to machine but without slowing them back down?. The build quality, performance, and thoughtful touches of engineering it exhibits give it a feeling of luxury and reliability, and while it doesn't aspire to displace a high-end workstation or gaming rig—its goal is to put the best possible balance of portability, versatility, and everyday power in your pocket, and in doing so, it succeeds wonderfully. As a whole, the HP OmniBook X Flip is one of the most capable hybrid laptops out there, with a refined combination of style, substance, and flexibility, with only slight negatives that don't overwhelm all of its positives. If what you desire is something capable of keeping up with work and play, capable of morphing from several possible uses to several others without breaking a sweat, and still transportable enough to carry anywhere, then this is one tablet-laptop combination that delivers big time.

Bought item in November. When I went to register laptop the warranty had already been activated in September. This happened twice and was never resolved.

I've lived with this computer for about a week and am pleasantly surprised by this laptop. OVERVIEW Enter in this HP OmniBook that has a beautiful 16 inch monitor. It feels premium and looks the part There is a touchscreen and backlit keyboard that is wonderful to type on with a beautiful keyboard with easy to read backlit keys. The case has a metal feel to it with no flex in the chassis. Those who notice differences in weight by the ounce are going to say this is heavy, but it is not in the real world. This laptop has a premium feel to it. Those who thought HP laptops were cheaply made can now understand that was years ago and the current crop over the past five plus years have been durable and just wonderful to use. And it comes with a 2 TB ssd and 32 gigs of DDR5 ram. OVERALL PERFORMANCE For me, having a fast ssd is crucial to use in video editing and this laptop does not disappoint. Using Crystal Disk Mark 8.04, I found the read speeds were 6218.39mb/s and the write speeds were 5470.53 mb/s. This is quite a nice performance for someone who wants to upgrade to a desktop replacement with ample ram and storage. WIFI I have fiber optic 940 mb/s up and down speed internet. The wireless performance of this computer was around 600 mb/s download with 300 mb/s upload. I have found that laptop's wireless speeds have been much slower out of the box with a windows update that will increase speeds in other newer laptops. OTHER THOUGHTS The packaging of this laptop was premium as well. The computer had its own black fabric case with a black divider over the keyboard to protect screen and keyboard. The overall experience with this laptop has me wanting to use it more and more. In the week that I've had this I have put this through the same tests I usually do with a new laptop and there were no issues that stood out that would make me think twice about this laptop. I was left with the overall impression that this is a laptop you should consider if you are not looking for something the lightest on the market. This is a great desktop replacement that just delivers.

I bought this for drawing capabilities but it sucks. Most of the time is not recognizing the pen. I have used 2 HP and 2 bamboo stylus and the problem persists with all of them. The audio does not work always with all drivers updated and supposedly to work well when running analysis. Unfortunately I will be overseas few months otherwise I returned it asp. Using my old Lenovo yoga instead, frustrating.

Laptop came in perfect condition from my local carrier and right on time. I have broken two laptops this year both screen shatters by being careless and of course I had a training class to teach so this came right on time. I’m the box is the computer and a charging cable. Power on and off we go. Upon start I noticed the unusually vibrant screen on this computer. I was shocked at the colors and contrast right from the start up. Signing into windows was easy and after one update i was ready to roll. I use my laptops pretty much exclusively for work my family and I own retail stores which keeps me busy all day from Microsoft software and office programs to reading sales reports etc. I’m not really a movie watcher but I watched Star Wars the last Jedi on this and I was pleasantly surprised for such a small screen how much I enjoyed it lol. Even got decent sound on this thing! But the reason I say run and buy this is for a few reasons. For starters, I really appreciate windows stepping up their game and allowing for other back ups now days so after signing in all your stuff comes right over. Secondly the screen is absolutely stunning. Best screen I’ve had on a laptop in my life probably owned 15 laptops. Thirdly, battery life went well beyond what I was used to. I used this laptop all day with multiple windows open running Internet programs and software from within and it handled it flawlessly while maintaining long battery life. For sure the most beautiful and best performing laptop I’ve owned and I just hope I don’t break it!!

This HP Omnibook laptop is a real pleaser. It's not inexpensive but it is worth a premium price. I would say this machine is aimed at a high-end productivity or content creator user rather than hard-core gamers. Although it is not bad at running the last-generation of 3D games at very high quality settings. It just doesn't have a high-powered discrete gaming processor, but the integrated graphics are pretty good. The intel Core 9 Ultra CPU is a powerhouse and any CPU intensive tasks are handled well. 32GB of RAM is more than most people need, but if you do video editing or stuff like that it is nice to have and will never be a limiting factor. Same with the 2TB PCIe SSSD, it has tons of space and is very fast reading and writing data. The 3k screen is a beauty. Vivid, bright, and clear, it's a real pleasure to use. The 16" size is the best compromise between portability and usability. The top-mounted speakers flanking the keyboard are pretty good, very clear and capable of being quite loud. Not much bass but better than many others. The keyboard is also very nice, good backlighting with very little light leakage around the keys. The power adapter is about the size of a deck of cards, making this laptop truly portable when compared to some others where the power adapter is literally the size and weight of a real brick. Overall, this laptop is a good choice for a power user and would also be good for someone interested in something that will have enough power and features to remain usable for quite a few years.

Best buy is the worst app you can ever use for anything, bought this product and created the return, however they have shown it as an exchange without giving any alternative product and forfeited my entire 740 dollars. Their customer care is also of no use, everytime they have a different answer
