Bright with amazing color!

The blacks are SO black, the colors so vivid, and the contrast ratio is just amazing. I’m a big fan of HP laptops. They are well-designed and work smoothly. HP claims the fully charged battery will last for 22 hours of video playback or 15 hours of web browsing, which is incredible. Although, I can’t confirm these numbers precisely, I have yet to exhaust the battery life on any given day of heavy usage. I wasn’t sure how much I would use the flip feature , but was surprised at how easy and handy it is. Sometimes I just don’t need the keyboard if I’m watching a video or surfing the Web. I can hold it in my lap, or “tent” it on my desk. Although this model supports a pen, it does not come standard, which is a shame. I know I’d use it if I had one. So far, I’ve found no need for dongles, as the Omnibook X Flip comes with a Thunderbolt 4, a USB-C, as well as an HDMI and a standard USB-A connection. Finally, despite its nice 16” display and massive battery capability, this laptop is thin, light, and easy to carry.

Great computer, Terrible service.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is great, the process I went through to get the product on the promised date and the customer service I received was so underwhelming I am considering boycotting Best Buy altogether after decades of being a loyal member, even a premium one at that.

Big, bright, beautiful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing that jumps out at you when you turn this laptop on is the size and quality of the display. It is bright and sharp and runs nearly edge to edge of the top of the laptop. There is very little space wasted, and all of that space appears to be crammed full of pixels. The next thing you notice is that the keyboard appears to be yelling at you. For some reason, HP decided to label the keys with huge letters that make you think this is the easy-reader version of the laptop for older people with vision issues. They also put the names for the non-letter keys in ALL CAPS with similarly large lettering, so it just looks loud. The keys themselves are not the usual chicklet style, but are instead flat with little space between them. It looked like it would be more difficult to type on, but surprised me with its effectiveness. I'm making fewer typing errors on it than I would have anticipated, and it's not that awkward to use (as long as you're not looking at it). The stereo speakers on either side of the keyboard are also pretty good and entirely suitable for watching a streaming movie. The laptop itself is fairly light for its size and pretty thin, making it easier to manage. Setup was standard Microsoft-quality, with all the new prompts to take advantage of Microsoft's AI offering. Overall, a very solid performer.

Copilot is fun but some features are extra
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to first go over how this HP OmniBook is a laptop. The processor is very capable for daily tasks. It comes with 32GB of memory which is a very good amount. It has the Intel Arc 140V. I don’t plan on doing much gaming on this laptop but from what I’ve read, it does fairly well with AI tasks. It also comes with 2TB of storage. I will talk about this more when we get to the Copilot part. That is a huge amount of storage. This laptop has a touch screen. So far it has been very responsive. This is a 2-in-1 which means you can flip the screen up to 180°. This is tablet style. You can do have the screen portrait or landscape. An on-screen keyboard can be used if you want to type. This laptop has Copilot+. Copilot is Microsoft’s AI. Some of the application swill have Copilot integrated with it. One feature it has is called Recall. This takes screenshots of your Desktop. You can refer to it to help you get back on track from the last time you sat behind your laptop. There are times I would be interrupted while working on my computer and when I get back, I have tendency to spend more time trying to remember where I left off. Recall helps me with this. Get me back to my train of thought. What I also like is I can copy and paste text from the screenshot itself. The settings has many different options. You can have it automatically delete by days. I have mine set to 30 days but you can go longer. This is where the 2TB of storage may come in handy specially if you want to keep your recall screenshots indefinitely. The screenshots are saved locally and not in the cloud. There is also an option for it to not include sensitive data. Studio effects is Copilot in the camera app. When using the camera on the laptop, it can help you blue your background, frame you (by zooming in and keeping your face centered). There is even an eye contact feature, but personally I think it is a little weird and un-natural. But still a cool feature. I could not try out Cocreator which is Copilot in Paint. My Office 365 subscription does not include this feature. So there are things you may need to pay for. It looks interesting and I hope to be able to try it out one day. This laptop supports Windows Hello so you can use your face to log in. It boots up fairly fast. The laptop is comfy to use on my lap in bed. The bottom does not get too warm. Again, I’m just doing stuff with Microsoft Office. Some light tasks with Copilot. I do not play games. I do not hear any fans while working on it. The CPU in this laptop paired with the GPU help make the AI and Copilot experience great. There are some things I do not like though. The keyboard does not feel good to type on for me. It may take some time getting used to. One thing I have difficulty with is getting my fingers along the home row keys. The touchpad sometimes gets in the way. It is on the large size and some times when I type in Microsoft Word and my thumb or wrist area nudges the touchpad, the cursor may jump around. Overall I like this laptop. It is great for Microsoft Office use with Copilot. It is fun to use the AI and the hardware seems to make it fast and responsive. The display is nice and bright. The laptop is light and great to use while in bed. I thought 16” screen size may be too big and heavy but it’s fine. And battery life seems good specially for a large display. The area underneath the screen is usually where I feel warm temperatures but surprisingly not.

First time HP Laptop user
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first HP laptop and so far I'm really loving it but I've only had it about a month. I've had Dell XPS13 laptops for the past 7-8 years and Dell Inspiron before that. The DellXPS is significantly more expensive than this HP but I don't feel like I am missing anything. The only thing I've noticed so far is the facial recognition seems much more reliable on my Dell. I would say it only works about 80 percent of the time but I don't consider that a big problem. The clarity of the screen is impressive as is the touchscreen. So far, so good!
