    The omnibook is AMAZING!

The HP OmniBook X Flip is, without hyperbole, one of the most stunning hybrid laptops I've been able to try out, and while all devices have their flaws, the level of versatility and balance delivered here makes it a compelling option across a wide demographic from students to businesspeople to general office workers. At base level, this machine is intended to first and foremost be a laptop and also a tablet, and whereas some so-called 2-in-1 devices tip too far over in either direction, the OmniBook X Flip somehow succeeds in finding an unexpectedly natural equilibrium between the two. Design-wise, it comes across as professional, functional, and contemporary without feeling too obtrusive or over-the-top, and what first catches your eye is the 360-degree hinge which enables you to flip the screen back all the way to several modes—standard laptop mode to type out essays or reports, tablet mode to sketch out or take notes, tent mode to present, or stand mode to stream movies or work in cramped quarters. This adaptability makes it a full-fledged chameleon in everyday life, and somehow the hinge feels strong and solid, which is great because so many hybrids suffer here with frequent use. The touchscreen monitor is also a highlight—sharp, clear, and super-responsive with touch input smooth and accurate regardless of scrambling through notes, drawing diagrams, or just mindlessly browsing as necessary. For students out of high school or college, just this aspect makes it super handy, as you're able to take notes with your stylus or even directly with your finger right across the monitor, annotate documents or papers, or instantly draw things out in class with ease. It obviates having to carry both a tablet and laptop, removing weight from your backpack and streamlining your workflow. Business owners and professionals will also like that because it makes presenting and brainstorming meetings so much easier; switching to tent or stand mode instantly makes the device a transportable screen for your client or team members, while the touchscreen makes instant adjustments and sketches during a meeting possible. Performance-wise, the OmniBook X Flip isn't a slouch either—its full-throated modern processors, ample RAM, and fast SSD storage all mean smooth multitasking, zippy startup time, and snappy app responsiveness. In testing, it took on everything from dozens of browser tabs and video conferencing to light photo editing and productivity software without breaking a sweat. Battery life is also a strong suit, with enough power to easily last through a workday or school day, so you never have to wonder about being tethered to an outlet all the time. Finally, portability is also a significant strength: the device is super slim and light enough to toss quickly in a bag, but doesn't feel like it's going to break because it has such solid build quality. For travelers, remote workers, or students always on the go, this combination of portability and sturdiness makes it the ultimate companion piece. Of course, all devices have their flaws, and the OmniBook X Flip has some of course. The first is that while it has no problems with productivity tasks and light creative workloads, it is not a gaming platform nor a behemoth for intense video editing, so unless you're looking from desktop-level power, what it offers might disappoint. The second is that, like all hybrids, the slim profile means the keyboard doesn't quite feel as deep or substantial as those on thicker laptops; it's perfectly usable, but long typing stretches may find you craving just a bit more travel with each key press. The touchscreen, while gorgeous, is also a smudgemagnet, so if you do use it in tablet mode, expect to wipe it clean more than once. Another negative is that hybrid laptops generally command a bit more cash compared to their non-hybrid counterparts with the same internals, and the OmniBook X Flip is no different—it's a luxury item, and it comes with a price tag to match. Lastly, while the flip feels solid, only time will tell how durable it is over the course of years of daily folding; all 2-in-1 laptops have this issue, but something potential customers should bear in mind. But here's the thing: the pluses far, far outweigh the negatives. In the real world, the OmniBook X Flip seamlessly transitions: in class, you can take notes with your hand; in the office, flip over into tent-mode to present slides; at home, lie back in stand-mode with your streaming shows; and on the road, pop it instantly over back into tablet-mode and read or do super-fast browsing while out-and-about. It's uncommon to find something with so many uses and still feels perfectly comfortable doing so many things, and isn't that what makes this so special? For the college crowd, it's basically the ultimate study assistant; for business owners, it's a traveling office and slide-presentation powerhouse; and for professionals, it's an everyday go-to machine but without slowing them back down?. The build quality, performance, and thoughtful touches of engineering it exhibits give it a feeling of luxury and reliability, and while it doesn't aspire to displace a high-end workstation or gaming rig—its goal is to put the best possible balance of portability, versatility, and everyday power in your pocket, and in doing so, it succeeds wonderfully. As a whole, the HP OmniBook X Flip is one of the most capable hybrid laptops out there, with a refined combination of style, substance, and flexibility, with only slight negatives that don't overwhelm all of its positives. If what you desire is something capable of keeping up with work and play, capable of morphing from several possible uses to several others without breaking a sweat, and still transportable enough to carry anywhere, then this is one tablet-laptop combination that delivers big time.

I've lived with this computer for about a week and am pleasantly surprised by this laptop. OVERVIEW Enter in this HP OmniBook that has a beautiful 16 inch monitor. It feels premium and looks the part There is a touchscreen and backlit keyboard that is wonderful to type on with a beautiful keyboard with easy to read backlit keys. The case has a metal feel to it with no flex in the chassis. Those who notice differences in weight by the ounce are going to say this is heavy, but it is not in the real world. This laptop has a premium feel to it. Those who thought HP laptops were cheaply made can now understand that was years ago and the current crop over the past five plus years have been durable and just wonderful to use. And it comes with a 2 TB ssd and 32 gigs of DDR5 ram. OVERALL PERFORMANCE For me, having a fast ssd is crucial to use in video editing and this laptop does not disappoint. Using Crystal Disk Mark 8.04, I found the read speeds were 6218.39mb/s and the write speeds were 5470.53 mb/s. This is quite a nice performance for someone who wants to upgrade to a desktop replacement with ample ram and storage. WIFI I have fiber optic 940 mb/s up and down speed internet. The wireless performance of this computer was around 600 mb/s download with 300 mb/s upload. I have found that laptop's wireless speeds have been much slower out of the box with a windows update that will increase speeds in other newer laptops. OTHER THOUGHTS The packaging of this laptop was premium as well. The computer had its own black fabric case with a black divider over the keyboard to protect screen and keyboard. The overall experience with this laptop has me wanting to use it more and more. In the week that I've had this I have put this through the same tests I usually do with a new laptop and there were no issues that stood out that would make me think twice about this laptop. I was left with the overall impression that this is a laptop you should consider if you are not looking for something the lightest on the market. This is a great desktop replacement that just delivers.

I bought this for drawing capabilities but it sucks. Most of the time is not recognizing the pen. I have used 2 HP and 2 bamboo stylus and the problem persists with all of them. The audio does not work always with all drivers updated and supposedly to work well when running analysis. Unfortunately I will be overseas few months otherwise I returned it asp. Using my old Lenovo yoga instead, frustrating.

Laptop came in perfect condition from my local carrier and right on time. I have broken two laptops this year both screen shatters by being careless and of course I had a training class to teach so this came right on time. I’m the box is the computer and a charging cable. Power on and off we go. Upon start I noticed the unusually vibrant screen on this computer. I was shocked at the colors and contrast right from the start up. Signing into windows was easy and after one update i was ready to roll. I use my laptops pretty much exclusively for work my family and I own retail stores which keeps me busy all day from Microsoft software and office programs to reading sales reports etc. I’m not really a movie watcher but I watched Star Wars the last Jedi on this and I was pleasantly surprised for such a small screen how much I enjoyed it lol. Even got decent sound on this thing! But the reason I say run and buy this is for a few reasons. For starters, I really appreciate windows stepping up their game and allowing for other back ups now days so after signing in all your stuff comes right over. Secondly the screen is absolutely stunning. Best screen I’ve had on a laptop in my life probably owned 15 laptops. Thirdly, battery life went well beyond what I was used to. I used this laptop all day with multiple windows open running Internet programs and software from within and it handled it flawlessly while maintaining long battery life. For sure the most beautiful and best performing laptop I’ve owned and I just hope I don’t break it!!

Best buy is the worst app you can ever use for anything, bought this product and created the return, however they have shown it as an exchange without giving any alternative product and forfeited my entire 740 dollars. Their customer care is also of no use, everytime they have a different answer

This HP Omnibook laptop is a real pleaser. It's not inexpensive but it is worth a premium price. I would say this machine is aimed at a high-end productivity or content creator user rather than hard-core gamers. Although it is not bad at running the last-generation of 3D games at very high quality settings. It just doesn't have a high-powered discrete gaming processor, but the integrated graphics are pretty good. The intel Core 9 Ultra CPU is a powerhouse and any CPU intensive tasks are handled well. 32GB of RAM is more than most people need, but if you do video editing or stuff like that it is nice to have and will never be a limiting factor. Same with the 2TB PCIe SSSD, it has tons of space and is very fast reading and writing data. The 3k screen is a beauty. Vivid, bright, and clear, it's a real pleasure to use. The 16" size is the best compromise between portability and usability. The top-mounted speakers flanking the keyboard are pretty good, very clear and capable of being quite loud. Not much bass but better than many others. The keyboard is also very nice, good backlighting with very little light leakage around the keys. The power adapter is about the size of a deck of cards, making this laptop truly portable when compared to some others where the power adapter is literally the size and weight of a real brick. Overall, this laptop is a good choice for a power user and would also be good for someone interested in something that will have enough power and features to remain usable for quite a few years.

Review for HP - OmniBook X Flip - Copilot+ PC - 16" 3K OLED Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 9 - 32GB Memory - 2TB SSD - Eclipse Gray I’ve never had an OLED laptop before; I realize now what I’ve been missing. The blacks are SO black, the colors so vivid, and the contrast ratio is just amazing. I’m a big fan of HP laptops. They are well-designed and work smoothly. HP claims the fully charged battery will last for 22 hours of video playback or 15 hours of web browsing, which is incredible. Although, I can’t confirm these numbers precisely, I have yet to exhaust the battery life on any given day of heavy usage. I wasn’t sure how much I would use the flip feature , but was surprised at how easy and handy it is. Sometimes I just don’t need the keyboard if I’m watching a video or surfing the Web. I can hold it in my lap, or “tent” it on my desk. Although this model supports a pen, it does not come standard, which is a shame. I know I’d use it if I had one. So far, I’ve found no need for dongles, as the Omnibook X Flip comes with a Thunderbolt 4, a USB-C, as well as an HDMI and a standard USB-A connection. Finally, despite its nice 16” display and massive battery capability, this laptop is thin, light, and easy to carry.

The first thing that jumps out at you when you turn this laptop on is the size and quality of the display. It is bright and sharp and runs nearly edge to edge of the top of the laptop. There is very little space wasted, and all of that space appears to be crammed full of pixels. The next thing you notice is that the keyboard appears to be yelling at you. For some reason, HP decided to label the keys with huge letters that make you think this is the easy-reader version of the laptop for older people with vision issues. They also put the names for the non-letter keys in ALL CAPS with similarly large lettering, so it just looks loud. The keys themselves are not the usual chicklet style, but are instead flat with little space between them. It looked like it would be more difficult to type on, but surprised me with its effectiveness. I'm making fewer typing errors on it than I would have anticipated, and it's not that awkward to use (as long as you're not looking at it). The stereo speakers on either side of the keyboard are also pretty good and entirely suitable for watching a streaming movie. The laptop itself is fairly light for its size and pretty thin, making it easier to manage. Setup was standard Microsoft-quality, with all the new prompts to take advantage of Microsoft's AI offering. Overall, a very solid performer.

I want to first go over how this HP OmniBook is a laptop. The processor is very capable for daily tasks. It comes with 32GB of memory which is a very good amount. It has the Intel Arc 140V. I don’t plan on doing much gaming on this laptop but from what I’ve read, it does fairly well with AI tasks. It also comes with 2TB of storage. I will talk about this more when we get to the Copilot part. That is a huge amount of storage. This laptop has a touch screen. So far it has been very responsive. This is a 2-in-1 which means you can flip the screen up to 180°. This is tablet style. You can do have the screen portrait or landscape. An on-screen keyboard can be used if you want to type. This laptop has Copilot+. Copilot is Microsoft’s AI. Some of the application swill have Copilot integrated with it. One feature it has is called Recall. This takes screenshots of your Desktop. You can refer to it to help you get back on track from the last time you sat behind your laptop. There are times I would be interrupted while working on my computer and when I get back, I have tendency to spend more time trying to remember where I left off. Recall helps me with this. Get me back to my train of thought. What I also like is I can copy and paste text from the screenshot itself. The settings has many different options. You can have it automatically delete by days. I have mine set to 30 days but you can go longer. This is where the 2TB of storage may come in handy specially if you want to keep your recall screenshots indefinitely. The screenshots are saved locally and not in the cloud. There is also an option for it to not include sensitive data. Studio effects is Copilot in the camera app. When using the camera on the laptop, it can help you blue your background, frame you (by zooming in and keeping your face centered). There is even an eye contact feature, but personally I think it is a little weird and un-natural. But still a cool feature. I could not try out Cocreator which is Copilot in Paint. My Office 365 subscription does not include this feature. So there are things you may need to pay for. It looks interesting and I hope to be able to try it out one day. This laptop supports Windows Hello so you can use your face to log in. It boots up fairly fast. The laptop is comfy to use on my lap in bed. The bottom does not get too warm. Again, I’m just doing stuff with Microsoft Office. Some light tasks with Copilot. I do not play games. I do not hear any fans while working on it. The CPU in this laptop paired with the GPU help make the AI and Copilot experience great. There are some things I do not like though. The keyboard does not feel good to type on for me. It may take some time getting used to. One thing I have difficulty with is getting my fingers along the home row keys. The touchpad sometimes gets in the way. It is on the large size and some times when I type in Microsoft Word and my thumb or wrist area nudges the touchpad, the cursor may jump around. Overall I like this laptop. It is great for Microsoft Office use with Copilot. It is fun to use the AI and the hardware seems to make it fast and responsive. The display is nice and bright. The laptop is light and great to use while in bed. I thought 16” screen size may be too big and heavy but it’s fine. And battery life seems good specially for a large display. The area underneath the screen is usually where I feel warm temperatures but surprisingly not.

This is my first HP laptop and so far I'm really loving it but I've only had it about a month. I've had Dell XPS13 laptops for the past 7-8 years and Dell Inspiron before that. The DellXPS is significantly more expensive than this HP but I don't feel like I am missing anything. The only thing I've noticed so far is the facial recognition seems much more reliable on my Dell. I would say it only works about 80 percent of the time but I don't consider that a big problem. The clarity of the screen is impressive as is the touchscreen. So far, so good!
