Out of the box it looked nice - nice finish, sharp crystal clear display. wished it had touch screen - Thanks to Microsoft - I will be getting free windows 10 upgrade. It did not have a whole lot of pre installed software - so did not run a lot of programs to check how fast it worked - but hope it runs smooth - it has an i7 processor. And did not really try to install and use it it was bought for a cousin.

The laptop has a great screen, good resolution, good sound, and great for multitasking.

This computer was bought with the intentions of using it for a student in high school. Space Hewlett-Packard is a good name. We love the speed of the Intel i7processor. We found the 6 GB memory to be sufficient. The 750 GB hard drive is excellent. Sound quality exceptional.

Great computer for home or student. Doesn't get hot. Turns on and shuts down quickly.

I bought this to run Serato DJ hoping that the i7 would mean there was plenty of horsepower to run it. Turns out it is one of the lower end i7s. It works but start up time is slow and the response is not as snappy as I'd hoped. Also the max resolution is really low. A little annoyed there wasn't blue tooth built in. Seems that would be basic. That being said for the price it is what it is, a basic laptop. Just don't expect a powerhouse.

This is the latest greatest, and my 2nd HP Laptop purchased from Best Buy! I Bought this 214 DX as it was the best off the line laptop to date... And I Love it-!!! It has replaced my old friend and still operational Pavilion dv6 from many years of exceptional use-- I am using the dv6---Well as my Juke Box for my iTunes to my main Stereo System---The 214 Is a killer machine "Highly Recommended"

I really like it, nice modern, so far holding up well. Only draw back is too many preloaded programs. My purchase came with a free security program and the computer already had two preloaded. At times it can be slow, when going through a recent windows update is just took forever and multiple times for it to actual work. This is because one of the security programs was blocking windows from updating. I've watched Netflix On it, looks good. Use it mostly for school. Works for its intended purpose.

Best but associate helped me with my purchase. I am very u unknowledgeable when it comes to electronics. I had made a choice online however it was no longer available. So the associate took over and everything went well. I am very happy with my purchase

I bought this laptop for my photography. so far so good. Using 8.1 was very easy to figure out. It weigh's a little more than I would of liked, but it does the work that I asked it to do. So I can say that I am very satisfied with the HP so far...

I usually buy budget computers, but decided to spend a bit extra this time on a computer with a good processor and a bit more memory. Imagine my surprise when it ran slower than my five year old budget HP and my HP stream 7 . At times it got so slow that it wouldn't load simple webpages. I spent lots of time uninstalling unnecessary programs, disabling unnecessary processes, looking for viruses, etc. Nothing seemed to help. Finally I analyzed the hard drive, and found that it was 14% fragmented! I defragmented it, and so far that seems to have fixed the problem. Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way. There's no excuse for that kind of problem in a brand new computer.

Happy to find it slightly used at a discounted price. Love best buy
