My 10 year old HP tower finally died, so I needed to get something decent for writing and surfing the internet ASAP. I also wanted to keep my costs down. It took a while for all the Windows 10 updates to complete (a couple days, though not all at once) and during that time, the computer was a little laggy, but once Windows 10 was fully updated and I had eliminated the bloatware, it runs just fine. The four stars is mostly for it having Windows 10 rather than the machine itself. The OS is a resource hog, so not even 8 gigs of RAM is enough to keep it blazing along.

I'm a grandfather of four. A computer whiz i'm not. The Pavilion Desktop is perfect for me. Scanning e-bay for old movie star photos, or parts for my Harley. Playing chess, or looking up my favorite catholic saints. It's quick, easy to use, what can i say...

Very happy with the ease of set up and the speed of the computer. I am extremely happy with the purchase. The only thing I found odd and a tiny bit surprised is the wired mouse and keyboard. However, this would not stop me from recommending.

My old computer died at the worse time. Best Buy helped me get running again with this HP. So far it is awesome. Fast and easy to run.

This is a great computer for the price. We bought this for our church to run our media software and it does so with relative ease. There is some slow down with multiple programs running, but does the job well.

I don't need much in a desktop computer - and this machine provides more than enough power and speed for my routine...virtually no lag time for productivity or minor gaming - quick boot up - and more than capable handling multitasking...

I was using an old pc with windows vista. It was very slow and could not receive updates on it any more. Changing to this pc with windows 10 was the best thing. It is faster and allows me to do things I could not do on my previous pc.

i use this daily for animal rescue work and it does great also doubles as a work pc no complaints and the speed is good and it takes up a lot less space than my old pc did

Computer crashed & this was the immediate replacement I bought the same day. It allows me to run several programs at once without missing a beat. Wish I could have gotten it at a lower price but it has been worth it so far.

My son declared this his best Christmas after getting this computer and being able to play his Fortnite without lag. I've heard no complaints since Christmas either, and believe me, I would if there were anything to complain about.

I am not very computer savy . This unit is quick and very well supported. I like getting back to the desktop because it is contains a lot of thinks a laptop does not. The large drive is a plus. Glad I bought this one.

My old computer with Windows 7 has outlived it's life expectancy and this was the best deal I could find. Paid for with credit card points gift card. The WIN10 learning curve is mighty steep but we will get there.

This inexpensive tower was purchased as a business computer and has done its job very well. It's not a gaming PC, but for normal day-to-day business stuff, it flies right through it.

Bought new, Old one had HD failure. Much bigger HD size so lots more room for storage. Has 8GB vs old with only 3GB so programs load/run faster and Browser is faster to load multiple tabs without slowing down computer.

I am enjoying using this computer. It is doing what I need it to do. I'm sure it can do more but since I'm not all that computer savvy, I can't speak for everything. I am adapting to some of the changes from my former, OLD computer.

With limited use, so far the computer works fine. My problem is with Windows 10. Since MS no longer provides written guidelines and instruction, the user is stuck fumbling around trying to learn the "lay of the land'.

This computer has everything the average person needs for home use. Easy to set up and maintain! A very good HP product that will take care of you if you take care of it!

Low price but not bad. I am used to intel computers but this amd has worked just fine for me. I actually do a little gaming and it has worked flawlessly so far. For the price this is a good buy.

Disappointed in performance speed. All upgrades to software have been made, but response time from mouse click to programs opening is ridiculously slow. This unit has twice the RAM and twice the HD space, and I would bet the house on this computer coming in second against my old HP in a blind, or double blind study. The HP virtual agent is a big waste of time and only serves to frustrate the user more. I keep thinking that eventually it might get itself together and function properly.

For what I paid for this computer I wasn't really expecting it to be as nice and fast. I am very pleased with it and would highly recommend it.
