must have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a desktop that delivers speed and reliability without any fuss, the HP Pavilion with an AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB of memory, and a 1TB SSD is a solid choice. I've been using this machine for a little while now, and honestly, it's been nothing but fast and efficient. Boot times are almost instant, programs load quickly, and multitasking is completely seamless—even when I have a bunch of browser tabs or heavy applications open at the same time. The 1TB SSD gives me plenty of storage, so I haven't had to worry about running out of space or dealing with slow file transfers. Everything just works smoothly. The natural silver finish looks sleek and modern on my desk, too. I can't really find any negatives so far; it does exactly what I need and then some. If you want a desktop that handles everyday tasks and heavier workloads with zero slowdown, this HP Pavilion is worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Easy To Use So Far With a Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, this has been easy to set up to a degree and use. I am technology challenged, so learning Windows 11 has been an adjustment to an everyday extent other than just using it for internet and word/excel sheets. It did take me a couple hours to download certain programs I needed. And the one thing that I found that I am still struggling to do is figure out how to uninstall something as it doesn't easily pop up. Both of these made me annoyed with the product just because with past computers, it was easier for me to do. The mouse that came with it, also wasn't easy to open to put a battery inside. It did take a little force and even then, I worried it would break. It is thinner than any mouse I've used and that might be why it felt so easy to break. There wasn't any area that I saw, that would make popping it apart easier. However, the system itself is very nice and the silver color does give it that classy vibe. It so far has been running nicely and I haven't had any problems. For system wise as well - I was told that for what I wanted this for - photos, video-editing, writing, etc, that this was a great model to get and would do everything I wanted and have the storage I needed. The storage for the 1TB was one of the most important key factors that I wanted and for the price, this was great.

Solid DAW
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent upgrade for my DAW. I added an internal SSD and a 32gb RAM kit. 32gb is max ram for machine: I knew ahead, and don't need more. 1 thing to know if upgrading the RAM with a kit: a DDR4 3200 kit does not run at full speed out of the box. There are no settings in the BIOS to turn on XMP/AMP,etc, so I wasn't too excited to find that out. HOWEVER, "AMD Ryzen Master" software works perfectly and got the RAM running at 3200mhz very easily. I was concerned that my apps may not have been compatible with Windows 11. Had not used it before, and most of my apps did NOT say they had official Win 11 compatibility. Was amazed that every app i have installed have had no issues at all, except running much faster than on the old i5 machine. The onboard graphics are fine for my use. 4k video plays fine, and I'm not a big gamer, so I don't need a video card. Everquest plays great, but it's not nearly as graphics hungry as most new games. I would upgrade the power supply if looking to run much of a video card. Another welcome surprise was that it actually came with a M.2 HD. I thought it was going to be a regular SSD. The M.2 is quite snappy. Definitely pleased with this purchase.

AMAZING PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this PC. I don't even know where to start. Had a little trouble with setup because the included Keyboard and mouse wouldn't connect. I couldn't find a power switch for the keyboard, I did for the mouse but it didn't connect either. I didn't plan on using them anyway, but the mechanical wired KB, and mouse I have wouldn't connect either. Finally I switched from the USB ports in the back to the ones in the front. It worked. With a working KB and mouse I breezed through the setup. I'm blown away with the speed of this PC. All that power in a small beautiful case. I was worried about the 180w power supply, but I don't se that will be a problem. I don't intend to upgrade the processor. I wo'nt be using this for gaming. I have a PS5 for that. I didn't even realize AMD had processers with integrated GPU. I thought only Apple did that w/ the M series chip. I was also pleasently suprised that all my settings and most of my file are magically on this amazing device. I got this as open box, and am super excited that it turned out to be a perfect choice. GET this. You won't be dissapointed.

TB for nice price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 2. They are fairly easy to set up. Unfortunately, they don't have a DCD/RW, so you have to buy an external unit. Otherwise, it works well. My son took my original one, which I purchased a year earlier than the 2nd. The graphics are nice and crisp. It is a good price for the TB.

Great home office computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great computer for a home office. It's fast, has 1TB of storage, and is great value for the price. The graphics card is the only weak point, but if you're not using it at as a gaming computer than it's not an issue. When I'm not working my son uses it for gaming, so we installed a AMD Radeon RX 6600 graphics card and now it runs all his games smoothly.

My last pc for life! Fast and Quiet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Pavilion is fast. It took several days to set up all the settings I wanted (due to Windows 11 program) as didn't want to have to go back and reset. Tried the security program (Trend) that came with it and decided like the Norton I had used on the previous pc better so uninstalled Trend. Also the HP Pavilion is very, very quiet-have to pay attention to my lighted keyboard to know if pc is working as you can't hear it running. Have lots of memory/storage with 1 TB. I read a lot and like to keep books on the pc at times to read again and/or later. Oh btw I got a really good price. Had been watching the site and when it came on sale really took a good look at the benefits. Pays to shop for a while and keep an eye out for a good sale.

Powerful HP Pavillion Desktop at A Great Price
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptops are great and versatile. However, you still need a powerful desktop pc for your home office and this HP Pavillion desktop is what I needed. Plenty of memory, powerful processor and fast solid state drive. Love the natural silver look of the desktop. The desktop can handle any task I throw at it with ease. Spreadsheet, photo editing, graphics, music streaming, video streaming, web browsing, web-based programs. No problem. I got this excellent HP Pavillion Desktop on sales which makes my purchase even better.

Upgradable ig
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pc in its stock form is underwhelming. The single channel ram, bad psu, and lack of a dedicated gpu makes it bad for gaming. Good news is, it is upgradable. For the ram, I upgraded to a Crucial 8x2 16 gigabyte 3200 megahertz pc4 25600 memory. I also upgraded to the L05757-800 500w hp power supply which made my gpu upgrade possible. For the gpu, I went with the rtx 3060 ti which is imo the best gpu you can safely put inside this system due to the limited power. You can MAYBE squeeze in a 3070, I but I personally would not risk it. I was worried about thermals, but after a few weeks of heavy usage and gaming, the temps were sustainable. Not ideal, but definitely not near thermal throttling territory. Cpu rarely exceeds 80 degrees Celsius. As for the GPU, it stays in a comfortable 36 - 75 degrees celcius range. Now, you will be far better off buying a prebuilt from a different manufacture for the same price or lower. However, if you already bought the system and don't want to buy a separate gaming pc, these are the best upgrades you can do to get the most performance.

Badly Needed Desktop Update.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP Pavilion AMD Ryzen 7 is much better than I expected. It’s very quick and very quiet. My previous desktop was from the Windows 8 days but accepted Windows 10 without complaint. However, it was getting tired and was severely out of date hardware (and software) wise. Then came Windows 11 which I knew my previous unit would not run. There is too much to say here. But, this unit solved the problem on all fronts.

All Good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to my previous custom built computer this is smaller, a lot faster, and quiet. The only thing I don’t like is that this doesn’t have a CD/DVD player so I’m using my old external player. I’m not a fan of anything wireless so I cannot write a review about the keyboard and mouse that came with the computer.

Good office workstation
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been upgrading our office workstations for a company of under 10 people with these units. The Ryzen 7 combined with the 1TB SSD gives a competent platform for the daily duties in the office at a comfortable price point. I have made the past mistake of trying to get away with $4-500 which tend to be under powered even for simple tasks while running our security camera software (web-based with the demands of bandwidth vs. video sharing with the RAM) but so far 16GB is holding up for daily tasks. I can always add an 8GB video card (<$100) if demand grows. But for now, it works well. The biggest bugaboo with most off-the-shelf brands is uninstalling all the promotional crapware/software BEFORE I put a) mostly an HP) box in service. Then you get to the Microsoft Account headache on everything but that's not HP's fault for that. Take your time and clean her up a bit and she'll run just great in your office.
