The CD drawer image at the upper left side is where a CD player would go if it had one. It does not. I had to buy an external USB CD drive in addition to the expensive Pavilion Desktop. The unit performs very well as expected. Windows 11 seems to have placed all Windows 10 in a new place. Great if you need that challenge.

My old computer was over 10 years old and suddenly failed. This one is a great upgrade in so many ways. Fast, small, quiet and boots real quick.

I bought this on sale about 6 weeks ago and I'm super happy with it. The large (1TB) solid state drive (SSD) has all the room you need for storage and it is perfectly silent...a nice change from my old constantly chattering hard drive. Was able to set it up without using a Microsoft account. You'll need to do some research for that work around. Was also able to install my old 3 x 5 SATA hard drive as a slave. drive. The space and cable are already there for this. This makes my old computer docs and pics available without moving it all. I simply access it thru Windows explorer. This thing boots up in about 30 seconds and there isn't too much bloatware to uninstall (McAfee, HP etc). You will prob want to add an external cd-dvd drive which I did. There is no internal and no space for one...no biggy. I'm generally not an HP fan but I do love this computer.

I've had this desktop for months now, but I was waiting for my previous desktop to cry for mercy before I pulled this out. I have my standard 25-30 webpages up and it hasn't skipped a beat. Processing speed is great, very little lag time which is perfect. Lots of space on the drive, and I'm not afraid to fill it! Depending on what you are looking for, this should be a contender.

I've been porting my data and computing environment over from my previous computer over the last 3 weeks or so; not quite done yet, but I've been using my new HP Pavilion Desktop for my everyday (personal) computing for the last 3 days or so, primarily personal email and finance management. With its 1TB SSD C drive, performance has been excellent. I didn't realize this before I ordered, but the case is much smaller than I expected; in my case, this is a mixed blessing, because I had added 2 auxiliary hard drives to my old computer that I had planned to transplant. After inspecting inside the case of this HP Pavilion, I concluded that it would be possible but difficult to do this, because of the cramped space inside the case. For most users not planning to upgrade, this computer would be an excellent choice and a good buy at the price.

I have bought this same desktop twice, one to have in my office and other upstairs in my bedroom, I work and do a lot online and these are probably the best desktops I've had in the 30 years or so I've had a computer. Works fast, reliable, *knock on wood* no issues with either the past couple years I've had them.

Lightning fast compared to my old disc-drive CPU. Solid state is the only way to go now. This model is on the lower end of mid-price ranged HP desktop computers and is an incredible improvement over my old HP.

Good price, given the fact that the CPU itself costs $329. And it comes with a onboard graphics, so that you can buy a discrete GPU, when and if they are available in the market again. The 16GB ram runs natively at 3200Mhz with CL22 and is single rank, so not the fastest one out there, but works well. Only one slot is occupied, so you can replace them with faster ones in dual channel mode and probably dual rank ones. All M.2 slots are occupied. One with SSD, and other with Wi-Fi. The M.2 SSD is Intel 660p 1TB, so not the fastest one out there either, but works well. There are 2 free SATA ports if you want to install you own HDDs/SSDs if you want but ironically only one space to hold a 3.5 inch drive. Funny! The USB-C is only 5gbps and with-OUT any HDMI or DP alternate mode support. So that's just useless. Also couldn't find a way to find which front USB ports are 5gbps and which ones are 10gbps. Good luck finding that. HDMI is also only 1.4b you if you are trying to run a 4k display at 60Hz, you WILL be stuck at 30Hz max. Buy you do have the option to run 1440p at 75 Hz and 1080p at 120Hz, I guess. The only way you can get away with this is that you install a new graphics card, as fortunately it has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot so any new graphics card would do great. It will not bottleneck even your 6900XT or 3080 Ti, if you can find any! The other PCIe 3.0 slot is only x1. And there are no other slots. If and when a thunderbolt card is supported for this B550A motherboard, you would have to decide between graphics card or the thunderbolt card, as there's only two PCIe 3.0 slots and none of those are going to run at x1. Just so you know! I guess, you can use free x1 slot to install another SSD, or other cards such as sound card, network card, port expansion card, etc. Comes with windows 11 Home, good or bad you can decide. Build quality is not very sturdy, and you would have a very annoying sound if the surface it is on has any kind of vibrations. Overall a good buy, if you are looking for a good PC in this chip shortage era.

This machine is surprisingly great, especially if you are looking to buy a desktop for your office. The Ryzen 7 chip is fast, and 16GB of memory are enough. However, 1TB SSD is not enough, especially if you have a lot of files and apps installed. Overall, great buy!

This is perfect for everything I need it for. I use it for my home music studio and it's been great so far. I have upgraded the RAM as well as the storage, but the processor speeds have made my software improve greatly.

While this is not a high end computer by any means it’s plenty fast for my home office. Set up was a breeze, my multifunction printer was added easily, and after using it for three months it still starts up quickly, flies on the internet, and runs all of my MS Office programs with no hesitations. I’m in the process of buying another one to replace an older computer.

Bought this PC to replace almost same PC from HP that finally gave out after about 6 years. Very pleased with this purchase as I got it on sale. I just needed a PC to do light personal business work, occasional internet lookups (when ipad isn’t up to the task), read email, etc. Very quiet too and only emits a slight hum which is not really that audible, especially when engaged in work.
