Good performance at an affordable price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been porting my data and computing environment over from my previous computer over the last 3 weeks or so; not quite done yet, but I've been using my new HP Pavilion Desktop for my everyday (personal) computing for the last 3 days or so, primarily personal email and finance management. With its 1TB SSD C drive, performance has been excellent. I didn't realize this before I ordered, but the case is much smaller than I expected; in my case, this is a mixed blessing, because I had added 2 auxiliary hard drives to my old computer that I had planned to transplant. After inspecting inside the case of this HP Pavilion, I concluded that it would be possible but difficult to do this, because of the cramped space inside the case. For most users not planning to upgrade, this computer would be an excellent choice and a good buy at the price.

Rock solid, quiet and fast.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on sale about 6 weeks ago and I'm super happy with it. The large (1TB) solid state drive (SSD) has all the room you need for storage and it is perfectly silent...a nice change from my old constantly chattering hard drive. Was able to set it up without using a Microsoft account. You'll need to do some research for that work around. Was also able to install my old 3 x 5 SATA hard drive as a slave. drive. The space and cable are already there for this. This makes my old computer docs and pics available without moving it all. I simply access it thru Windows explorer. This thing boots up in about 30 seconds and there isn't too much bloatware to uninstall (McAfee, HP etc). You will prob want to add an external cd-dvd drive which I did. There is no internal and no space for one...no biggy. I'm generally not an HP fan but I do love this computer.

Read the details before purchase.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The CD drawer image at the upper left side is where a CD player would go if it had one. It does not. I had to buy an external USB CD drive in addition to the expensive Pavilion Desktop. The unit performs very well as expected. Windows 11 seems to have placed all Windows 10 in a new place. Great if you need that challenge.

Great Computer and a Good Price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband's computer (work) completely died suddenly. No cues of a problem, and no one could revive. We went to Best Buy, We spoke with a lovely saleslady, found a decently priced computer, and it was delivered. It was easy-ish to set up. We are not super young, so technology is a challenge. It is up and running, we bought Office so we have all we need, and didn't lose our shirts. Thank you Best Buy!

Pre Black Friday Deal
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is fast and it was easy to setup. You will need the login credentials for your Microsoft account during setup. It will be much easier to test and/or reset your password on your old machine before tearing it out and putting this one in.

Good little machine for it's price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is perfect for everything I need it for. I use it for my home music studio and it's been great so far. I have upgraded the RAM as well as the storage, but the processor speeds have made my software improve greatly.

My review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lightning fast compared to my old disc-drive CPU. Solid state is the only way to go now. This model is on the lower end of mid-price ranged HP desktop computers and is an incredible improvement over my old HP.

Good Desktop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Desktop was very simple to set up. It is very fast. It took me a little bit to get used to Windows 11, but it was not a big deal. It is pretty much Windows 10 with menu items located differently. For the price, I feel it was a good deal, and it meets my needs. I did add 16Gb more memory to it just so I can have a lot of programs opened at the same time.

HP Pavilion Tower Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My HP Pavilion tower processing speed is incredibly faster than my 2010 HP tower. It’s lighter, and doesn’t have a cooling fan to annoy me like the old one did.

Good experience with computer upgrade.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine includes Windows 11. I had not used this operating system, but I like some of its innovations. The computer was easy to connect once I got it home. These connection included cabling to the monitor and to the speakers, and wireless connections to the router and to all of the printers. My biggest adjustment has been with the feel of the mouse and keyboard. The speed is good, and I am happy with the way that the drives are partitioned.

Please read before you buy
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good price, given the fact that the CPU itself costs $329. And it comes with a onboard graphics, so that you can buy a discrete GPU, when and if they are available in the market again. The 16GB ram runs natively at 3200Mhz with CL22 and is single rank, so not the fastest one out there, but works well. Only one slot is occupied, so you can replace them with faster ones in dual channel mode and probably dual rank ones. All M.2 slots are occupied. One with SSD, and other with Wi-Fi. The M.2 SSD is Intel 660p 1TB, so not the fastest one out there either, but works well. There are 2 free SATA ports if you want to install you own HDDs/SSDs if you want but ironically only one space to hold a 3.5 inch drive. Funny! The USB-C is only 5gbps and with-OUT any HDMI or DP alternate mode support. So that's just useless. Also couldn't find a way to find which front USB ports are 5gbps and which ones are 10gbps. Good luck finding that. HDMI is also only 1.4b you if you are trying to run a 4k display at 60Hz, you WILL be stuck at 30Hz max. Buy you do have the option to run 1440p at 75 Hz and 1080p at 120Hz, I guess. The only way you can get away with this is that you install a new graphics card, as fortunately it has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot so any new graphics card would do great. It will not bottleneck even your 6900XT or 3080 Ti, if you can find any! The other PCIe 3.0 slot is only x1. And there are no other slots. If and when a thunderbolt card is supported for this B550A motherboard, you would have to decide between graphics card or the thunderbolt card, as there's only two PCIe 3.0 slots and none of those are going to run at x1. Just so you know! I guess, you can use free x1 slot to install another SSD, or other cards such as sound card, network card, port expansion card, etc. Comes with windows 11 Home, good or bad you can decide. Build quality is not very sturdy, and you would have a very annoying sound if the surface it is on has any kind of vibrations. Overall a good buy, if you are looking for a good PC in this chip shortage era.

Outstanding PC
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an outstanding machine. I don't use it for gaming. I use it for doing work in AutoCAD. Drawing solids, 3D parts and renderings is so much faster with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G processor along with the AMD Radeon Graphics. There's plenty of storage in this machine too. Included are 256 GB of SSD storage and 1 TB of SATA hard drive storage along with with 4 SuperSpeed USB Type-A and 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C ports on the front of this PC, and 4 USB 2.0 Type-A ports on the rear. I use 2 of the Type-A USB ports to connect to my 2 TB and 1 TB SSD drives.
