Traded an older computer for this device. Got it home and found the speed to be unacceptable.

dvd drive does not work right out from box. nothing special

Best Buy sold me this computer in Nov 2018 claiming the 1 TB of space would be enough room to last me a long time. They did not mention it has a 2004 Windows 10 operating system limited to 128 GB of space. The computer is 3 years old and now obsolete.

This was purchased for an office to download work videos and connect to a 4K monitor to view.

It does what I need, love HP computers, really like the way it looks.

In all fairness it was an out of box purchase. I did go back and purchase a new model. The only issue was that the manager would not transfer the data from my old HD without charging me. so far the new unit is great

Bought this for taking online classes and after only using it for less than 2 months it will randomly just shut off causing me to lose information and also mess up exams that I was in the middle of taking. Sometimes I can use it for hours without a problem and then other times it will shut off 3 times in a 15 minute period. When I called Geek Squad they were not able to help. I was advised to bring it into the store. Haven’t had a chance to do so yet because the closest Best Buy is more than an hour away.

The system is very difficult to set up. The disk partitions only gives you less than 20% of the advertised disk capacity to actually use. The Windows 10 user interface is not nearly as good as older windows systems. The help search almost never is any help.

...bought this for myself as a birthday present. Piece of crap from day one. I knew what the problem was (30 years IT Director)...HP was not inclined to believe me. Finally, after returning this workstation three times to HP for 'repairs', then finally decided that I needed in-home service. The tech they sent out took all of 15 seconds to confirm my diagnosis. After a year plus, three returns for service and an in-home service call, HP finally decided to replace the unit.

Try two of these as open box both were advertised as good running condition. First one monitor started flashing within one hour. Second one lasted one day before bad fan message. Ordered desktop directly from hp with same hardware Been working great for three weeks . Should have did this first. Also saved $80 dollars.

Had it for about 3 weeks no started getting thermal protection shutdown. Exchanged it and new computer did the same thing in the Best Buy store. Bought a different model now

I am so disappointed with this product! I did a PowerPoint presentation and was unable to save it! Every time I try to save I’n Told I don’t have enough disc space! The actions also very slow and seem to take a long time to perform! I can’t download pictures without a problem! I was told at Best Buy this unit would take care of all my needs but it hasn’t reached anything of what I had expected!

My second hp i5, 1st one lasted about 2 and half years before crashing. 2nd one was purchased 3/22/2019. Now it's has screen with no boot, used tech information steps, which did not work. I Don't fought bestbuy I purchase all PC's, TV, etc. From bestbuy they have always been great. HP products I'm very dissatisfied. Would not recommend HP.

If I knew how slow and small memory was I would never bought this my fault for not doing my homework

Not great!!! Too many bugs... and super slow not good for high speed internet.

Expected basic sw with the system (office?) And speakers for the price.

The computer keeps turning my virus protection off

Just got this desktop and cant believe how fast it is. The included SSD makes start up and shut down so much quicker. Also, the RAM and Intel chip are just better integrated than my AMD desktop I replaced. No more issues with 100% disk usage. I go this at a great deal as well. My only issue is that it would be great to have tutorial on how to make sure data is stored on the standard drive oppose to the SSD.

The PC turns off and stays off. I have to unplug the PC and plug it back in for it to power on.

I ordered this computer but was unable to receive it due to "low stock". Can't say anything about it except that.
