Great PC - Meh Keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me lead off by saying I love the computer. I'm not a gamer, I just needed a computer for general purposes; email, web browsing, streaming and some word processing. This PC has more than enough horsepower for my needs. It's fast and responsive, with the SSD, booting the PC is incredibly fast. I've connected it to my television with an hdmi cable and the graphics are incredible for my purposes. It did take a bit of adjustment to take care of overscan but that was the television and not the computer and the adjustment was applied only to that specific hdmi port. I am using the wifi to connect to my network and the wifi is awesome. Although the gateway and pc are on different floors, the computer is able to connect easily to the gateway and takes full advantage of the dual band ac gateway, the speeds are incredible and the connection rock solid. Now the keyboard. The keyboard is a very odd size, extremely narrow and with the keys a nonstandard size. I just couldn't use it for typing without constant errors and miskeys. I had a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse with my old computer and I switched out the HP keyboard for the Logitech one. Frankly, the poor HP keyboard is the only reason I downgraded what would otherwise been a 5 star review.

Great PC for everyday use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very very happy with this PC so far. Lightning quick, and very quite. I've been messing around with it with heavy usage and it still doesn't stutter. Plays all my 2.7K videos taken with my Galaxy S8+ without hesitation or lag. Transferred all my files over from my Galaxy SSD T5 and was impressed on how quick it copies everything via the USB Type-C port. I dont play and games and dont plan to, so I cannot provide feedback regarding that. Overall, this PC is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks,

Impressive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't believe how fast this desktop is, definitely faster than my i7 at work. I'm used to walking away after powering on a PC and still waiting for it to boot. Power on this bad boy and in less than 30 seconds (I timed it), I'm ready to log in. Virtually no wait time for opening applications or software. Incredibly smooth and fast.

Seems like a good computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.User system folders, e.g. Documents & Pictures are on the SSD drive, not the HHD (data drive.) You have to figure out how to move folders, drag & drop only copies them. HD support wants to sell you a product to help move files.

Not at all what they say
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OHHH, and because I already hear you all out there going... get a new Power supply. You cant, its a HP Proprietary unit that they do not make anything more powerful of. I know 4 days 30 People and a hug pain in my ...... talking to hp has let me know. Ok, So The thing is a ok streaming computer and I use OK lossly. first off the thing is way under Powered for what they put in it to start. After Running bench mark Test on it for over a mounth and using it. I have found that if you hook up more than 3 Externals to it with out a powered USB HUB. the computer has issues starting up. the video card will not run at full power because the Power supply is way to small 180w lets you run the computer but nothing else. Even though the thing Has places for more stuff inside. You cant even get a sata hard drive to load. Let alone use the PCI 16x slot for a video card. Bench mark test so that this computer while running World of warcraft on graphic settings 4 uses all available power and you can still only get 15 to 20 fps. will not even load pubg at low setting with out glitching most of the time and that was with it right out of the box. nothing but pubg installed. This computer Only has one saving grace. The Processor is socket. so I can just use it to move to a new mother Board. where i will just need to buy a new case and Mother board, On top of the 700 plus for the computer, 250 plus for video card, and 160 for the ram chips I got already. But hay, the add and sales people all said this was upgrade able and a great intro gaming rig. LOL :(((((( Over all if you need this to do anything big time, Gmaing, editing, recording. This is not your computer.

This pc is amazing for that!!! Absolutely love it as much as the day I got it. I do need to upgrade the RAM and I've had to add 3 external hard drives as 1TB isn't much anymore.

My experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is just my experience with this pc. It worked great for the first month. It then would not boot up. I built my last computer about 10 years ago so l felt l could fix this one. After a week I call hp support. The support person had me go though all the thing I already tried. It appeared to me that this system was not up to date. He said I needed to send it in for repair. Since it was under warranty it was no cost to me except for lost time. He thought they would need to reinstall Windows so I would have to start over. I feel the bigest mistake was not realizing that the the Best Buy return policy of 15 days is way to short for a computer system. In the future I will take this into account on what I buy there. I rated it 1 star based on my experience but it may work out ok for others.

HP Desktop Disappoints
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought Aug 2018 with NO Geek Squad protection plan. Had motherboard replaced under manufacturer warranty Nov 2018 because it kept overheating and shutting off. After that I barely used it once a month. June 2020 it just wouldn’t turn on so I brought to Best Buy who told me they would have to send it out and the warranty was expired so I would have to pay out of pocket. Minimum $100 to fix or a minimum $200 to fix and define the problem. Checked online and found I wasn’t the only one, but because there weren’t enough people with this problem there was no product recall or recourse. Still sitting in my closet 2 years later.

Don't buy!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst computer I've ever bought. Right out of the box nothing worked, and when I tried to get help from HP their customer service reps were dismissive and entirely unhelpful. STAY AWAY!!
