The computer is a little bit heavy but overall very nice for travelling. But even with help from HP support the computer still randomly loses wifi reception. At their suggestion I did a recovery and the situation improved, but it still cannot consistently hold a signal. I am writing this review on my Samsung Chromebook (also purchased at Best Buy) because the HP is down again. When the HP works it is great, but it does not work all the time.

Updates freeze and fail, touchpad does not work well, very slow processor , very disappointed. Don't waste your money...

DO NOT BUY After owning the laptop for three weeks the screen broke without dropping it or handling it roughly. We visited Best Buy and they told us it was the third time they had seen this laptop THAT DAY that had the same problem. Their opinion was the screen was to fragile, even though it is a touch screen, proving it was the computers fault and not ours. They then suggested for us to contact HP and ask for a exchange or refund which we were denied. HP not only denied an exchange but also blamed us for the accident.

Got this laptop for my college son. The best feature was the good speakers.

Very nice and compact laptop but the only bad thing with it, is that the screen is very dim. And as much as you raise the brightness, it can't be raised anymore. So when in very bright places like the office, or next to window or outside under the sun, it makes it very difficult to see with the glossy screen.

I tried everything: updating the firmware, putting the laptop close to the wifi access point, buying a separate USB wifi antenna. Still no Internet. Something is wrong with this machine. Its even non-functioning with Mirrorcast connections. The Best Buy sales rep told me wifi is the main complaint they get for the model.

I have purchased this computer in August. One day, I tried to turn it on but it didn't work so I took it to best buy to fix. Today I went to pick it back which announced to fixed. The staff told me the computer had been changed the board inside. However, when the staff tried to turn it on , it still didn't work. This is the worst computer that I ever had. The hardware inside the computer like a messy....Now it was shipped to the service center again. The staff told me that I couldn't change it unless it was fixed three times... What a terrible quality! I can;t believe HP made such a bad computer.

Purchased from Best Buy on 8/19/14, for daughter's school work. On 09/04/14..laptop died! Best Buy refuses to replace, ( 15 day return/replacement policy. Called HP,( after four layers of tech people), HP confirmed a defect in hardware, and they would attempt to replace, but no time frame given.
