Get Anything Else
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I just bought the single crappy one that doesn’t function, but basically this computer can’t handle any kind of load on the processor. Nothing will load and sometimes just opening up Word makes the computer crash. Currently trying to get rid of it. Awful decision.

Not for a college student
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop to last me the last year of school. It is so slow, wants to update every other day, and takes forever just to start up. I will be surprised if it lasts me this last year.

Cheap
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The material is weak which means the hardware is sensitive. My screen popped out while switching to tablet mode. Very disappointing.

Worst purchase ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer was awful, would not recommend anyone ever buy this!! Would not load on start up, if it did everything was terribly slow, Wi-Fi would never work. The only thing good about this situation was the helpful assistance of the best buy employees who helped me in returning it.

Good but needs an SSD drive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work in IT, not directly supporting laptops, but I do have a lot of experience. The SSD drive in my wife’s laptop died. Very disappointing because when I bought that laptop 3 years ago one of the reasons I bought it was that SSD drives with no moving parts should not break. I didn’t have time to buy a recovery CD or drive from the manufacturer and don’t like putting money into repairing electronics, just doesn’t make sense to pay half the price of a new one to repair a 3 year old one. Anyway her main requirement is she wants light and portable and needed a new one right away as she uses it for work. The size and weight of this laptop is perfect for her. The processor and memory fine for running MS office, email and other work requirements, but it was still just really slow, especially booting up. I could see the disk was constantly pegged ay 100%. I ended up buying 250GB SSD drive for $72 and a usb to Sata transfer cable for $12 and now it moves like a new laptop should. So overall a good system for the price, but quite slow out of the box and you will find yourself wishing it had an SSD drive in it.

Very slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my son to get him through the rest of high school and he and I were both disappointed at how slow and laggy it is. I removed a bunch of unnecessary apps, and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. To make sure it wasn't just an Internet problem, we tried the same tasks on my $250 Chromebook, and the Chromebook was much faster. Also, the set up was ridiculously slow. This is my first experience with Windows, but I've set up both new Macs and Chromebooks, and the Windows' process was way more cumbersome. Is it really necessary to keep trying to sell me stuff when I'm just trying to get the thing started?? I may try to uninstall more bloatware, but we probably are going to return this....

Old faithful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this computer. I’ve had it for 4 years now and it’s been good to me. After 4 years though, it’s def time to get serviced. It’s not as fast as it used to be

Terrible battery life and super slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop about a month ago for college, heard it would be great for what I need to do, well it would be if it didn’t take all class to load my work or save it and by the time it finally loads everything the battery dies. It goes from full charge to 50% in 20 minutes no matter what you do to save the battery. Very disappointed and won’t by an HP again.

Look elsewhere
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately this has been the worse laptop i've ever owned. I have done everything to give this thing a fair shot and it continuously has let me down. I'm a 34 year old college student and that is strictly all it is used for is school work. There is days I could start it and run to the store before it's ready to get working. I've tried completely resetting it twice. Both time's were no luck in getting it to speed up. Really hate sitting down to work and waiting 20 minutes before I can even get started. Going to have to back up my stuff and completely move away from hp.
