    My son dropped his school laptop and needia replacement. This was great. The HDD was a little slow compared to the SSD in his old laptop. He won't swap due to warranty. But he feel this should get him through the next two years of HS. The only concern is it's heavy for it size

    Was looking for a general purpose family laptop around $500 with reasonable speed and not too heavy. I had a HP convertible before and it was super heavy with poor battery life so was a little cautious but this one is 10 times better. Less than 4 pounds, decent battery life and seems pretty quick even running games. Only thing I don't like is the lack of backlit keyboard.
