Screen popped out after a year of use

I am a student and needed a good laptop for homework. However, after a year, the screen started to pop out of the casing and the 360 feature is completely inoperable. I hardly ever used the tablet mode and mostly used it as I would a regular laptop. I have taken it to some places, including Geek Squad, to get an estimate to get it fixed, and it costs more than half of what I paid for it. Apparently this is a common problem with this model. While the laptop is still operable, I am worried that the screen is going to break soon and I do not close it anymore in fear that it will break completely.

Super great laptop for the price

It’s got great sound quality from the B&O speakers, so watching movies and such is really nice. It’s easy to work on and it also folds into a tablet if you need it. Haven’t had any problems with it.

Great performance, questionable durability

After a short drop off my lap, it started giving me alerts that the CPU cooler wasn't working. HP support and updates might help, but shouldn't be necessary, given the very minor damage.

Poor battery

I figured the deal was so good, and hoped HP figured it out over a span of 8 years. I will leave it at 100% and it dies within a few hours. Also, it is just over all slow. I made a huge mistake going with HP again, and I regret my decision very much.
