THE WORST PURCHASE YOU CAN MAKE

This item is of a super low quality. First of all, it's extremely slowly. I had an issue with the sound and wifi connection. In 2 months after the purchase the sound stopped working, the wifi connection was interrupted frequently - one moment you have it and another minute you don't have it. I have 5 other devices at home and none of them has any issues with the internet connection. So even if I disconnect them all from wifi, this laptop still loses connection. I was trying to get my money back. BestBuy refused. I sent this stupid laptop to HP and they fixed the issue with the sound. But the issue with wifi is still here. Now they want me to purchase a special wifi adapter($50 more!) for this laptop. Are you kidding on me? Who needs a laptop which can't be easily connected to the internet? Again, I have another HP laptop, which is older than this one and there is no issues with wifi or any other issues. I am so unhappy about this purchase! Literally, I just want to cry because I needed a new laptop for my work. And I can't work now. Plus this one is heavy, it's not lightweight as they say. It is simply absolutely terrible.

    Overall it is good buy

The negative part of it is that the volume goes off sometimes and especially after you have it in sleep mode. The only way to get the volume back is to restart the laptop. Out of that everything works well so far after a year and a half using this laptop

    Short battery life

First of all, too many features on this computer. Just makes it more complicated to set up and use. Don't need all the bells and whistles but wanted something with windows and enough storage to handle movies, pictures, etc. so chose this one. Also, you're lucky if you get four hours from the battery before you have to recharge. It is a 2 in 1 but it is too big to use as a tablet.

A very low quality pc, I had problems with wifi and sound. Best buy don't care at all about customer experience. After 3 hour talking with hp customer service they reinstalled windows, asked me to buy a software assistance package... of course I refused since the laptopo is still under warranty. hp fixed both problems that day but after few weeks audio problem is still there. calling again hp...already 1 hour in the phone ...still not able to talk with a rapresentative....

Do not buy!!!!!!! Listen to negative reviews!!!!

I have had this computer for less than 3 months when the corner of the case started to separate from the screen. I pushed it back into place and my screen cracked. I then contacted "Customer Service" and they stated that the factory warranty did not cover cracks, drops or water damage. But since it was not something I did and I did not drop it and it was obviously a defect of the computer it should be covered. I was then told that I could send it back and I could pay for it and it would cost me $620 dollars which is more than the computer cost in the first place. The other option I was told I could do I could buy just the screen for $250 dollars and have a local computer place replace it. Not something I was interested in because I have had other issues with before. So, if you are reading this negative review take it to heart and buy a different computer. If I could give it no stars I would.

    Don’t buy!

I’m a student and I got this computer for school since I do my essays and timed tests online. The first month I purchased this computer the sound of the computer stopped working out of nowhere and then I had to get it fixed. After getting it fixed, 3 months later, some of the keyboard letters are not working! I take my timed tests and do essays on this computer and I can’t complete my work with the keyboards not working! I regret ever purchasing this computer. It’s slow and low quality so don’t waste your time.

Had issues with this laptop within the first month. It consistently froze during powerpoints, constantly needed rebooting, until one day, about 4 months after purchasing it, it refused to reboot. Now I'm looking at more money to get it repaired. Best buy tells their customers to drop at least 800 for a "reliable laptop" so apparently anything under that price range is bound to be garbage. Maybe they shouldn't stock products that aren't reliable at all?

    Waste of Money

In the beginning laptop was great! I loved it and loved how it was a 2-in-1. A little over a year passes and the screen in the bottom corner starts to protrude out. And then the hinge becomes messed up to. I can no longer close the laptop. I contacted HP and they want me to basically pay more than what I paid for the laptop to fix it which I am not going to do. To conclude I am out over $400 and I rather just buy a new laptop than pay the price of a new laptop to fix it. Crappy buy!

very disappointed...the build is nice, i like the touch screen and 360 feature a lot but even when it was brand new it was having problems lagging. I started using it for school, nothing besides documents and internet use, and it started restarting randomly and unable to load things. it takes forever for it to start up, its worse than my old laptop which was 8+ years old...i would love everything it offers if it simply worked properly! :( buying would be a risk.

    Should be faster

Bought this laptop six months ago. Just wanted a simple laptop to browse the internet and do some spreadsheet work. Was not expecting much. Boot time, loading an application (MS Excel 2010), web page loading or web browser (Chrome) start up is slower than any computer I have ever owned. Once working or working on something it works okay. I guess the only thing I have to say is you should not be in a hurry to get started on anything with this laptop.

    Avoid This Computer

Wow...I bought this and returned it in less than 24 hours. It took at least 10 mins to boot up to start setup and crashed twice during the process. It’s slower than my 5 year old laptop that it was meant to replace. A piece of garbage for sure! Returned and went with an iPad with a keyboard cover...way happier now, This computer wasn’t even suitable just for word processing...why is it so slow?!

I bought this laptop on Saturday and returned it on Monday. It froze 2x when I used it the first day, it wouldn't download anything using wifi (even though my little kindle fire downloaded a game in less than 5 seconds). It was very difficult to navigate and I was concerned that the machine would be useless in a short period of time. Best Buy was very good at giving me a discount and customer service was very helpful.

    Worst purchase I've ever made

First, it's slow. It worked alright for about a month and then got laggy. Then the keyboard stopped working and I brought it in after the semester ended (still needed it for school so I bought a usb keyboard) as it was very much under warranty and they sent it off for a couple months (to replace a keyboard... at least that's what they were supposed to do.) and it came back and they said everything checked out okay, but it still didn't work. They did nothing and sent it back. They gave me the runaround for a couple months and now it's out of warranty. Best buy dropped the ball, HP dropped the ball. Overall a crappy way of handling a customer.

After 4 months of gentle use the hinge (located under the screen) popped the screen out of it's case. When I closed the laptop, the screen cracked. Very bad design. I contacted HP. Even though it was under warranty, they wanted to charge me $500 to fix it. It's useless after only 4 months. I have used HP for years and will NEVER buy HP again. Their quality has obviously dropped and they won't support their products.

I have this laptop for 6 months and am now having to replace it. I was unhappy with it from the beginning because it is extremely slow. Yesterday morning I opened it and the screen had a long crack across the screen. I dont know how this happened but I am glad to replace it since it was slow. Wont be buying another HDD or glass screen lesson learned.
