A down grade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an HP SPECTRE x360 which I loved, It had screen issues that were dealt with in a timely manner I then started having battery problems (battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than an hour with nothing running) so I took it back for repair. Was told by Best Buy technician that HP was phasing out that kind if battery??? which made no sense to me, so he recommended getting a new computer with the same specs as the Spectre. I looked around, and found a Dell that fit all the criteria; ram, hard drive, memory, screen size and core processor. I told the salesperson that was the one I wanted. All was fine, until the manager got involved realized I had bought the Spectre as an open box, and could only give me a computer of equal dollar value. HE was the one who told me to pick a computer with the same specs. Had I been told this from the start, I might feel a little differently. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement, especially after being told I was to pick out a similarly spec'd out model. Compared to my Spectre, this one is a piece of garbage and am more than disappointed. I should have sent the other one for a new battery and let HP figure out the problem. Needless to say, I'll never go to Best Buy again, for anything. Ever. I felt deceived and not valued at as loyal customer. I have bought at least 6 laptops from them, and I was treated like I just walked in off the street. What I should have done is make more of a fuss and gotten senior management involved, but by that time I was too tired to bother. I like HP and it was this years model but there's very little to like about it. Feels cheesy, mail takes forever to open and the fingerprint reader is in an awful location. I end up using my pin. Stay away from this model. Oh, I looked up the trade in value and in perfect condition with all the hardware it was only worth a $95.00 gift card, which of course you have to use there, so they're not losing a penny.

Don't buy.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Mac's for years, but thought I would get an HP to see what they were like. I hate this machine. Battery life sucks. Performance is not up to my MacBook, and it is incredibly touchy. Keeps popping into airplane mode without me asking. I will be giving this computer away. I cannot recommend this machine to anyone.

horrible laptop - died 6 days after warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the laptop was working - bought for a college student on deal last year - HP Pavilion x360 14m - cd0003dx not sure if this is the SAME or just in the same family - but be warned - called HP at the advice of the very helpful Geek Squad member to see if they could extend the warranty since the motherboard went out 6 days AFTER warranty - after talking to a manager he said under no circumstances (like the fact that purchaser didn't use until Sept.) that they could extend the warranty and furthermore if they did - they didn't have the part anyway as they don't support the computer anymore - and they could help by giving me the part number to find online somewhere. So, beware of all HP products - i asked what would have happened if it died while under warranty and he said - they couldn't have helped. Really - well that sounds like a scam to me. Never buying HP Again! Best Buy should look into this if they are supporting products that manufacturers can't support - not sure how an extended warranty would have helped or even the Best Buy service warranty -if the company isn't selling it as a close-out model then they should be able to support it.

Terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First month of getting it my number keys stopped working. Had to send it back and get it fixed for over 300 dollars which took 2 months. Then it stopped working completely and was told that I had to pay 600 to get it fixed. Terrible computer, save up money and just buy another one.

No Memory
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid $700.00 for this at Best Buy. I only needed a laptop to keep photos on. Nothing else on it. Just photos. It only has a 228 MB memory. I could have bought a 1TB laptop for a lot less. This is useless to me. I was misled by the salesman. I never would have bought this if I would have known it can’t hold anything!!!
