I was really nervous about getting a new computer for school. I started out with an Asus and I loved it, but I wanted to find something cheaper the second go around. The HP pavilion fits my needs perfectly. Super fast performance, light weight for carrying around school, and I love being able to read my text books in tablet mode! I definitely recommend this computer for anyone in school.

Picked up to replace my son's current laptop, an i3 processor. Felt he needed a faster replacement as heading off to college. He like's the screen size, … daughter is also in school and she has a larger 15" screen (… also an HP). He says the size is much easier to lug around campus. As for the important details, … no issues with performance, and no problems thus far. Have had many HP laptops, and in my opinion they are definitely one of the best choices available.

Personal use is great, no for play games, fast and quiet, same times runs the coolsense, but works fine.

My son is taking this computer to college. He liked that it folds in half & we bought the pen so he can “take notes” on the screen

I mainly use this for school. I wanted a laptop that was somewhat fast without breaking the bank for unnecessarily high speeds. I wanted one I could flip into a tablet and take notes on with a pen. And I use the internet to complete assignments as well as Microsoft office such as word and excel. This laptop fits my needs perfectly and I would consider it fast. But I’ve never used it for anything like gaming or for any big software so I’m not sure how it would do with that.

Love HP products, like compact size, portability, touch screen, lighted keyboard. Very pleased with purchase.

While it is probably a good machine for the average user it can be pushed to further limits. I'm able to edit 4k videos from a Panasonic GH5. Footage is 4k 8bit 4.2.1 at 100mbs. The fact that this machine handle some editing was mind blowing to me. I did not specifically buy for that, but it assured me that it can handle any other minor task, such as documents and browsing. The fact the it kinda turns into tablet is pretty awesome too.

Meets all my needs as a grad student. The size is perfect! I love the keyboard, backlit and comfortable to use.

Great laptop used for personal and business use. Very easy to carry around.

I did have issues with the sound after a month. I had to take it back to the store and have it reinstalled? But all in all a good machine.

This computer was a gift for my boyfriend. He absolutely loves this HP! Its fast and light weight. Great quality.
