Absolutely terrible experience with HP product. I have been having issues with audio since day 1 (no sound in earphones every time I pause audio/video for 5 seconds). Tried to resolve this for months with HP (because it was too late to return to Best Buy) - HP has absolutely incompetent customer service that blames software, trying to trick you into buying software warranty. And after 1000th rep wiped clean the system - the issue with audio is still there. Beware, this model probably has some internal problem with audio card because lots of people on forums discuss the same exact issue. No point calling HP - they listen to you, then transfer to another rep who listen to your problem, and then transfer you to another rep and NOTHING is resolved. I'm still sitting with a malfunctioning laptop.

This laptop showed up and was exactly what I hoped until the fan kicked in. Dang this thing sounds like an airplane taking off. What good is a solid state machine if it requires an extra noisy fan. As of now not sure if I will keep it.

Working well so far, but the adapter is very noisy. Is this defective?

Only bought a month ago and sound does not work. This is unacceptable.

It broke after a couple hours of having it. Not sure how.

The sound is quieter than my phone. I would not recommend.

had to return, swapped for dell....this one overheated all the time and fan ran alot.finally failed

I had to return it and get another one it kept freezing and it was brand new and with nothing saved to it.

in less than 6 months, lost 100% of the sound. HP points to Microsoft and Microsoft points to HP. Bestbuy wants to charge me to look at it and only after they charge me to send it to HP for evaluation.

I had problems right away, lost the speaker drive for no obvious reason. Issues with the fan.

NO SOUND, THEN TOOK TO REPAIR AND STILL NO SOUND. NOW MOUSE SENOR PAD DONT WORK.....

Had to return it. Got extremely hot in ten minutes. Pop ups galore too.

Bought this for my college bound daughter. After discounts, etc the price was in-line with other models of the same specs. Upon arrival, we were impressed with the look and feel of the computer. She loved the 14" size (albeit no number pad on keyboard), 2-1 feature, backlit keyboard, battery life, fingerprint ID and the touchscreen. I would say the color is a champagne color. Not quite silver and not quite gold. Its very sleek looking and while it looks and feels sturdy - that comes with a caveat - it also feels HEAVY. I also noticed that it scratches and scuffs easily - especially if you will be using it in the tent position on various surfaces. We've had it less than a week and the edges are already scuffed. Also note that it does NOT come with a digital stylus pen - you will need to buy that separately and they are not cheap. This model is made specifically for Best Buy so it was difficult to compare HP models and/or find accessories that are compatible.

I was worried about switching to a PC but I couldn't be happier. What I get for the amount I paid is INSANE! Not to mention I basically get a tablet as well because of the 360 feature. I can take notes in class because I bout the stylus pen(not included) and take notes on it. The touch screen rocks. The startup and shut down are hyper fast. The switch to a PC was so much easier than I thought. It took me a few days to adjust but learning the new way was quite easy. This computer looks impressive too. It's sleek, cute and the lit keyboard is gorgeous. My only complaint is that the one I have was made exclusively for BestBuy. So trying to wind a rubber form fitting case hasn't happened. No one made covers for it(I've looked) and called BestBuy and they had no known cases that fit either. However, I just got a sleeve case and it's brilliant. I'm sure the hardshell cases will come out soon by someone. I just heard they scratch easily when in the A frame position to watch movies. But by all means get it. I am UBER happy with it and it was a fraction of the cost of an old non-PC computer.

Worked great the first two years of having it but by the 3rd year one of the hinges broke off after using the tablet mode (which I rarely even use). Not the only person this has happened to, there is some kind of manufacture issue with this laptop. Do not buy.
