Great when worked but main board failed
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hardly a year after purchase the computer started displaying error messages and tech found the main board had failed. When it worked it was great but for $600 I would hope it would last longer. Would have been 5 stars if it had lasted.

You have to pay for windows
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whats the point of paying for such an expensive laptop when they still charge you for all.. it doesn't actually give you the benefits of windows 10 unless yout pay $6 dollars a month for it.. garbage

Failed the fan
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was disappointing to find that the fan broke down only six months after using it. A technician told me that this is a frequent failure in this model.

Top notch and looks good, too!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had it for 6 months, using daily for my business — mostly Word and PDF files, and a good bit of photo editing and storage. So far, only used 30 GB on the 128 GB solid state drive, so I won’t need any more space ever. I still use the good old free Picasa for photo editing, storage, and management — even though Google no longer supports it (great, simple but effective program). I do a fair bit of browsing, and use Google Maps, and even store all my business and personal photos on the Google Photos cloud for free. I usually buy a new laptop every two years, just to keep up with the better technology. I spent $659 on this slick brushed gold laptop last November, and I have not regretted it for one moment! I have had NO issues with it whatsoever. One reviewer mentioned that it has a glossy screen, which it does, and you get reflections on the screen from your surroundings when in bright light, like near a sunny window. That is true, but it’s also pretty true for other devices like phones and iPads, etc. So, in very brightly lit rooms or outside, I would agree that it would be nice to have a little brighter screen with a bit more contrast. It’s not a big deal for me because I’m usually indoors doing my business work. Nice features include: backlit keyboard for use in lower light conditions, touchscreen that is accurate and not fussy, works with a quick flick or tap of a finger, the touchpad that also slides or clicks to your finger(s), the FAST ssd drive that boots, loads, and saves super quickly, a very colorful and full HD resolution screen (2016 X 1,024) which is also easy to personalize to your particular tastes). Also, a quiet fan that seldom even comes on. I hope you get the idea— this is my all-time favorite laptop, especially in this modest price range. Highly recommended!

Mostly what I expected... mostly.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop a few weeks ago, it has a beautiful design and is very lightweight. The startup time is very fast, the resolution is great, and letters on the keyboard are large. I am very happy with my purchase but two things threw me off. At times, the fan can be fairly loud which is off-putting. Also, the audio jack socket is not suitable for regular earphones. I am surprised that no one has said anything about this. The headphones that I usually use with my cellphone and other laptops did not fit into this laptop so you will have to purchase one that is compatible with this computer.

Not perfect, but gets the job done.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs great but unfortunately scratches easily. I purchased it two months ago and it was disappointing to see that it has already accumulated some scratches, especially the reflective logo part on the front. I also wasn't expecting the fan to be as loud as it is but it doesn't bother me. Lastly, the tablet mode, pen & touch screen capabilities did meet my expectations--- I guess I was expecting something more high quality. Even calibrating the touch screen can be a challenge. For now, its been easier for me to just use it as a laptop. But I honestly don't regret this buy, as it does everything I need it to do and I can have as many tabs as I need without draining my battery (which is great for students like me who can have up to 30+ tabs open in the midst of an assignment because that's just how we roll). It has definitively helped be more productive.
