Good print quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to purchase a new printer/scanner when I purchased my new computer. I have not yet had the opportunity to make any greeting cards so I do not know how it will be for that. I am waiting for the new software program to come in. Everything had to be updated with the new computer with Windows 8 that I purchased.

Poor after-purchase experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the HP Photosmart 6520-e the morning of November 8, 2012. After about four hours of unsuccessfully attempting to connect the unit wirelessly, I telephoned the Geek Squad at the store. After reaching a salesman three times, I was connected to a Geek Squad representative on the fourth try. I explained that the unit would not install wirelessly and asked whether I might be doing something incorrectly. The Geek squad rep said it would cost $100 to send someone to install the printer. I explained that I had bought the product that morning and asked whether he could simply give me some direction over the phone. He insisted that it would cost $100 for on-site installation, and that was my only option. I suggested that perhaps my best option would be to return the product and buy another elsewhere. His response: "Sounds good to me."

priced right
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my 6520 about 6 months ago on sale for $119.99. It worked great for around 4 months. I leave it powered on in the sleep mode. All of a sudden about a month ago it started coming on by it's self every 1hr to 1 1/2hrs - 24.7 even with the computer in the sleep mode. The display screen would light up & it would go through printer preparation then the menu would show on the screen. I would get a pop up on my computer saying SCAN TO COMPUTER IS NO LONGER ACTIVATIED, CONNECTION HAS BEEN LOST. I could still use that feature though! When I printed out a wireless network test report it said there had been no disconnects in the last hr or 24 hrs. I have always had a strong wireless connection. The printer would then go back into the sleep mode after 5 minutes which is what I had it set for. Somewhere between the next 1hr to 1/2 hrs it would repeat this process with the same pop up 24 hrs a day. I told HP that the printer has always worked fine, It just won't stay in the sleep mode. At one point support told me to shut off my router when not using the printer. HUH? I said I won't be able to use my computer or have any phone service. WOW! After 3 weeks of contacting HP'S support at least 12 times, having them try everything including taking remote access to my computer TWICE they still did not fix it. Three times their support said a case worker would call me in 24 to 48 hrs. "None of them ever called me." I even took the HP Envy 17" laptop I had purchased 2 months ago & the printer to the BestBuy Geek Squad. They checked for all of the current drivers etc. and said everything was working correctly. I hooked everything back up and the problem was still there. I called BestBuy and even though I had the printer for 5 months at that time, they replaced it with a new one. I installed the new one wireless and it had the same problem from the start. I contacted HP Support AGAIN! This time they told me that this was a issue with other people also, not sure if this is true, but if you google my HP photosmart 6520 keeps waking up it looks like others have had this problem. BestBuy Then told me that I could return it and apply the refund toward any new printer I wanted. THANK YOU BESTBUY!) I thought I would try HP one last time. I was finally able to speak to an HP case manager "after I flipped out and told them the last 3 people never called me back." They are now sending me the next model up #7520" I have a friend that purchased one of those 2 months ago and has had no problem. BestBuy has been wonderful during all of this, but HP support is useless. I spent weeks on the phone almost every day. There is no way you can speak to someone in the US. I could only talk to someone in India or the Philippines. I tried to e-mail HP, but when I entered the serial# and product# it said that the warranty had expired on 7/14/13 and I could not continue. Interesting since I didn't purchased it until 8/24/13. If you are having this problem tell HP that you DO NOT want a replacement of the same model, it probably won't work either. HAS ANYONE BESIDES ME HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR 6520??

Bad product - HP 6515 printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: maybe the price Cons: paper tray does not work this may be a good product - I certainly thought it might be when I purchased it from Costco - however, the paper tray has a malfunction which prevents you from using the printer; the manufacturer HP is perfectly aware of this defect as they have information on their product support page which provides several examples and about 4 pages of deails on how to 'fix it'; however, this does NOT fix it and when you contact them they want you to prove you have an extended service warranty and will not not even provide support #even by chat or just simple instructions# on how to fix it! That is over a hundred dollars down the drain!!! piece of junk - don't buy it!!!!! don't waste your money on the 6515 or the 6510.

Great printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have always been an HP fan (despite price in ink). This new wireless was very easy to set up and connect with my computer. In addition, seems to be more efficient in the use of ink as well.

Great printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the printer. Don't like the HP printing apps. Also on-board interface seems archaic, but that may be just me expecting it to be on par with the Android OS.

Worst purchase ever, EVER.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for a small business, seriously only print for quarterly taxes. Not photos or pictures, straight black and white letters and numbers 4 times a year. Lasted a year and 1 month. Best buys warranty is 1 year, HP warranty is 1 year, so it wasn't covered. This printer went through ink cartridges every 10 pages of plain text out of the box. A round of cartridges is around $40.00. So I spent $40.00 and then some every quarter to get it to print my claims and estimates until the black stopped printing all together. No one will help. Contacted hp support and they couldn't help. (Spent 45 min troubleshooting with the support and went through another 4 ink cartridges while ON THE PHONE!) Only offered the same printer for me to buy for MORE than I had originally purchased it as. I'm pretty sure my printer was faulty from the get go with the ink to print yield being so incredibly low. So with around $250 spent in ink alone trying to get this thing to print, I just gave up and bought another printer. NOT AN HP. Will never buy HP again. Save your money and a headache.

Great Everyday Printer for Small Office

It's Not 4-in-1, No Fax
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer works well but it's not what I needed. I expect a printer that is advertised as 4-in-1 to have a telephone line connection.. This printer does not.. I comes with an E-Fax service. It must be installed on a wireless network to use it, and it's only free for 20 Faxes a month.
