Can't getwireless to work & no cable provided

Since installation, cannot get wireless feature to work (tried two different computers--one brand new), and no cable was provided for hardwire to computer. Does copy well with good quality, but is temperamental about turning off; I often must unplug it to make it shut down. It would be helpful to have a manual provided.
