I don't know if it inherent in these printers but the reason we had to replace our other hp was because the paper continually got stuck.

Wish I had bought another printer, even though it was twice the price, maybe it would make better pictures, either copying or printing from a camera stick. It makes good black and white copies.

The user interface for this needs refinement. It won't save my scan setting and I must manually select them each time I want to scan a document from the scanner. The paper tray design is poor and does not hold much paper.

Loved this at first. Easy to use and set up. Then I had to put a new ink cartridge in. Printer would not print the black ink after that. Tried everything and would not work.

We've had this printer 10 months now and we haven't had any problems with it. It prints great, the wireless feature is really nice, especially considering it's upstairs with one computer yet I can still print from downstairs on the laptop. It's quick, quiet, and efficient. The only downside is the cost of ink cartridges, but that's with all printers!

Replaced a very old HP 2570 all in one with this one. The 5530 is easy to set up both as USB and Wireless, I'm running both. Also allows to ePrint from anywhere in the world via WEB based application, included. Great print and photo quality. If you are looking for a great little compact all-in-one home printer that will not break the bank, this is it.

After spending 7 hours with Geek Squad troubleshooting and more hours with NETGEAR techs, I am still unable to wirelessly scan and save to computer, external drive or cloud files. I have lost two days' worth of leave trying to get resolution to this problem to no avail. There is nothing wrong with my router, my IP, my laptop or anything. Fed up, I finally bought an ethernet and use it instead. Extremely disappointed in this product and no time to return it. Ethernet--the reliable Plan B!

Bought it on clearance sale, but there must be a reason why it is on clearance. Low utility in terms of pages and scanning and copying is not easy, as there is no multiple page feeder

This thing is a piece of. It never worked right stratigt out of the box. 4 hours with tech support and still nothing horrible experience. DO NOT BUY ONE

This printer does not have an Ethernet connection. Only USB and wireless. Unfortunately, for unknown reasons, every so often - 1X per week or more - it loses its wireless connection from the router and requires a manual reset involving a multi-step procedure of several minutes. Very annoying. Also, other family members do not have the patience to deal with this and want me to do it for them. My previous HP printer had the same problem but DID have an Ethernet connection. Put in the hard wire - problem solved. I hope that Ethernet will be available for my next printer.

This was incredibly slow but the worst part was that I had to redo the set up several times to get all the features to work properly.

I came across this printer after my previous one was no longer supported by HP. I am so glad I decided to get this one as it is so much better than any other one I have owned. I love the wireless printing option and how quiet it is. It was also very easy to install.
