    Difficult to feed paper into the paper tray...

    The printer is on a table to the left of the computer table. Both my wife and myself find it very frustrating feeding the computer paper from the side angle. It's even more difficult feeding 4 x 6 inch photo paper, because you have to push it way up inside the computer. The problem is too shallow of an opening.

    After setting up and getting started, this printer stopped working after 6 pages. SIX PAGES! The roller mechanism that feeds the paper from the tray only works on one side, creating a paper jam every time you try to print.

    POWER CORD, BUT NO AC ADAPTER

    Doesn't come with AC Adapter and find out it's not supposed to. Fortunately had another one from a previous HP, or I would have brought this printer and chucked at the Best Buy's front door.

    Won't copy or scan!!

    I purchased this printer in March 2014. It worked fine until a few weeks ago. It will not copy or scan. I have tried everything. Reinstalling software, used HP print and scan doctor and went online to the HP website only to find that the warranty expired in October 2014. So basically this printer/copier/scanner lasted 10 months....immediately after the warranty expired. I wrote HP via email because they do not list a phone number to call....unless you want to pay for technical support. Buyer Beware!!!! OR better purchase Best Buy's warranty. I will next time!!

    bought two printers - neither one printed in black

    bought a HP 5530 printer, took it home, and it would not print in black- only color; returned it, bought another one, same problem - called HP, they said it could be a problem with the printer or the ink cartridge; they also said the printer's warranty started 4 months prior to my buying it (apparently that's when the store bought the printers), so I would have to send them a copy of the receipt; now I'm returning the 2nd printer to the store to try to get it to work or buy a different one

    Most useless piece of electronics that I have ever owned. And the customer support is just as bad. I cant believe I let someone at Best Buy talk me into it.

    I would give this 0 stars if possible. I had problems from the start with this printer. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get back to the store to return it before the 15 day grace period expired. It continuously experiences internet connectivity issues. Doesn't print more than 2-3 sheets before a printer error message appears and the print job cancels, even when connected via a USB cable. The scanner quit working about a month after I purchased it. I wish I would have read the reviews before making this purchase. All of the negative reviews I read were issues that I encountered. I have always purchased HP printers in the past with no problems. However, I am very cautious about purchasing another one.

    Cannot Print Cardstock

    I was thrilled with the printer's simple set up and wireless capability. But, I primarily print graphics. High Ink consumption. Began running out of ink after printing only 10 pictures; giving low ink message. Could not print 110 lb. cardstock. The paper jams. I think I'll return it.

    This printer will not connect with my computer since upgrading to Windows 10. It also no longer connects to any of my mobile devices and loses connection to my WiFi frequently. I would strongly suggest you look at better printers than this one.

    Avoid this Envy Printer 5530 I bought it in February 2014 and when I had to change my ink it stopped printing in color. I have done everything that I could think of and finally gave up on it. It is going to BB tomorrow so they can find out why the computer is not sending the color to the printer. copies color on the copy of the printer.. I bought my HP computer in June 28, 2010 and they told me that I had a :lemon and that it has been in almost 12 times since I bought it. The printer is allmost new and no that isn't oworking. Have to take the computer (it was there last week) and my printer so tey can take a look aat it.. really disgusted. Have been in almost once a week with some issue and computer problem.

    I looked on the Best Buy website, found this reasonably priced printer that said Wi-Fi AND Bluetooth capable. After hours of frustration I called HP. They informed me that this IS NOT Bluetooth ready.

    PC and printer did not connect.

    I tried 3 different drivers - the one on the CD, the latest online driver, and the 5531 driver which someone recommended if other drivers did not work. I could neither connect wirelessly nor with USB - which is odd as HP directed me to disconnect the USB each of several times I uninstalled the driver/program. My efforts to contact customer support failed as did the troubleshooting program and other HP recommended fixes. Will return printer and try Epson next.

    1) bought it because of the "instant ink " program. The code they provided was invalid. 2). Worked with windows 7 BUT NOT with Mac. 3). No telephone or email support from HP unless you PAY $15.00!! Last HP product I will buy. Good bye HP. So much for your comeback.

      We apologize for your recent experience and appreciate that you took the time to leave comments to help us implement improvements in the future. There are a few issues you cited that HP would like to address:

      (1) Not mac compatible – the HP Envy 5530 is compatible with the mac, IOS V10.6 & up
      (2) Bad pin code for instant ink kit – unfortunately during the manufacturing process, issues like getting an invalid code or no code at all may sometimes happen – we apologize for the inconvenience and we have put measures in place to prevent this as much as possible. Another code could have been generated by calling HP support, which usually takes about 5 min or less
      (3) No telephone or email support – Again, we apologize for the confusion. You may call 800-474-6836 for Hardware Support or 855-785-2777 for HP Instant Ink support. There is no charge to call these numbers - in addition, Once you are an Instant Ink customer you have customer support for life.HP

    Stopped scanning. It would print but not copy and print. No fax. Tried to fix problem but drivers would not update. Easy come (cheap) easy go.
