I moved from a 12 year old 4 in 1 that still is a work horse. Just can't get it to work with my current laptop. The Envy 5530 is a lower end printer, but perfect for my needs. Easy to set up, easy to work and in the right price range. I've been using it for 2 months. I gave 4 stars because it's not as sturdy as the 4 in 1 (in particular the paper tray), but then it is the lower end.

I recently bought the HP Envy 5530, so far so great. I took advantage of the instant ink, I don't print often mostly make copies and when I do print it's very minimal. I'm doing the 2.99 per month on the instant ink, which comes out to $35.88 per year which is basically the cost of 1 ink cartridge. I would definitely go with HP just based on the savings on ink by itself.

I am very pleased with the printer. Getting it hooked up to the wireless network was very easy. The print quality is very good for a printer in this price range. Scanning is also very good . It does not take up a lot of real estate either which is very nice.

As a loyal HP user, I have purchased dozens of HP products over the years. However, since the HP PSC 750 I've been looking for a simple printer that would do everything I asked of it. The HP ENVY 5530 is it. It prints beautifully; prints envelopes easily; copies and scans at a touch. For anyone looking for an inexpensive printer (under $100) that performs as expected, this is it.

I needed a printer to replace my Brother which gave up the ghost after a couple of years use. Salesman recommended the Envy having listened to my needs list. wasn't interested in Fax function. Printer produces very good print quality and scan function is easy to operate. Price of Envy was very agreeable and I plan to use HP cartridge replacement service when the time comes.

I travel alot and use this printer daily. I take this printer with me and it makes business very easy and I also use it for college. Keep this printer free of dirt, cover it and care for it if you travel with it. I keep mine on a stain proof mat so ink won't ever stain my truck. I would give 5 stars if this printer was faster as stated but I'm very happy with this printer!

Easy setup, good print quality, you cannot beat this printer for the price.

Printer seems to work well both in black 'n white and color. Ink is fairly inexpensive compared to most others out there. We use mainly for printing reports, work needs, research, school work, etc. CON: Draft seems to be just that.......! Prefer printer where you could print a color picture in B & W draft, did not have to use color. Do not see that option on this printer.
