Stay away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I followed all the instructions, set the printer up properly. On the first print it jammed, then it jammed again, then it jammed again. It can't print 2 pages without jamming. It's junk. I've owned 10 HP printers and never had this type of trouble.

UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid a lot of money for this printer, and when I need service after 8 months, I expect help! I was told by the Geek Squad that I have to pay $100 to have an in-home visit. I am a TOTAL TECH member ,and that does not help at all?!!! Dissatisfied Kent

Cannot finish setup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.During the setup process, my printer has run into an error where it doesn’t recognize the blue ink tank has been filled. Thus, preventing me from being able to install the black and tricolor cartridges and finish setup. Can’t use it, will try to bring it in for Best Buy to look at. I was hoping to really enjoy this printer, especially for the price. Hopefully the store can help and get it fixed, but as of now I can’t recommend it. Will august review if I get to use it eventually.

Trash printer from a trash company
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dumped a good chunk of change ($350) on the printer to print and scan my son’s curriculum. As a single income family this is as a big hit. I have had back to back issues with the printer constantly throwing error codes and freezing, had HP send out a replacement printer, all for the replacement printer not to work, and then they tell me that it’s now out of warranty and I’m stuck with a broken replacement printer and there is nothing more that they can do. Stay far away from HP

HP Smart Tank 7602
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst printer I have owned over the years. The feeder only takes one page. If you try multiple pages it jams or takes more than one page at a time. Totally useless. The paper for printing and copying has also jammed up multiple times. I can't waste my day clearing paper jams.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great but 7 days after the return period paper started jamming nonstop and defeated the purpose of buying an expensive so called good printer. Every page and every time I printed the paper jammed. So now back to Best buy to battle, or repair which i shouldnt have to repair a brand new printer!!!!

Not Good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been unable to use this printer even though I spend 1.5 hours with IT/technical support and even after I am still getting repeated errors, often unable to turn off using power button. Repeated technical support needed.

Poor printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is the hardest to setup and operate. The app that is used is great for selling ink but not much more. If it was easier to return i would get rid of it. No more HP printers in my house.

Can't be used on glossy paper!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is not compatible with glossy paper as it states in the specs on the hp website. The ink on glassy paper NEVER DRIES, even when you change the settings to glossy paper on both the printer manually and on the computer itself. You will have ink all over your hands. I am super dissapointed in this purchase and will be returning after having spent longer than you would expect to get it all setup and updated.

Buyer beware, HP is no longer good quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed in HP and how bad their printers have become. This is significantly slower than HP 8600, smaller, software is horrible. We had to buy one as our HP 8600 stopped printing and attempts to resolve went no where. Even internal blogs from HP indicate poor quality compared to 10 years ago.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry that your printer has rendered prints slowly, and that you’ve had difficulty with the software. It’s no surprise that you’re disappointed here. I want to help you resolve these problems, so I’ll suggest some resources I hope will guide you to that end.
First, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; it contains sections on Windows as well as Mac OS. Find that guide here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16
Also, updating the firmware can often help improve print speed and other performance. You can find out how to do that here:

I can’t tell from your review what specific software issues you’ve encountered. For help with that – and if print speed does not adequately improve – I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution.
