Very happy - works well and makes for a great value

This is the second HP Spectre laptop I've purchased. The first one was great but this has been a complete dud. I had to have the motherboard replaced within the first year and the laptop slows to a crawl when I do video calls, despite having 16GB of RAM and an i7 processor. We have a sub-$500 Chromebook in our house that is far more useful than this two year old laptop. I have brought it in to the Geek Squad and they have confirmed there are no hardware issues and did not see any issues with Windows.

Quick speed.Easy to use. Got the laptop just in time.

College student great for college engineering programs

Had to return for a new one due to overheating. I purchased the extended warranty since I had so many issues. Once I finally had a good one it was fine until the motherboard went out a little after two years. Naturally HP does make replacement parts for it anymore so it's worthless. Don't spend this kind of money on something designed to last only two years.

This laptop is simply too small to use comfortably. I ended up returning it and going with a 15 inch laptop. If you like tiny this is the way to go. HP good lines and construction.

I had high hopes for this one. I loved many of the features and chose this over a MacBook because of the specs and value. Unfortunately some kind of software glitch was causing a sporadic delayed start up time. One day it took 3 minutes to reboot and I hadn’t even shut it down. (I had simply closed the notebook at night). I spoke with customer service and they said I could send it in for service. Thank goodness I was still within the return timeframe. I spent too much on it to take the risk just to get another with the same software issue.

I had to exchange two models of this product. The first one overheated on simple tasking such as: emails, YouTube and small downloads. The second model my screen turned off on its own and kept rebooting itself while I was tasking. The intel optane memory sounds great on paper. In reality the performance is poor. I ended up purchasing a dell xps 13, 2 in 1 and haven't looked back since! My Dell is phenomenal and suits my needs.

I purchased this machine at the beginning of the pandemic.The Plano Store had a display unit on the floor but did not have one to purchase. It worked well the first few times then began having charging issues etc. I used the trusted BBCC to guarantee a smooth purchase. This unfortunately has not been the way the story has progressed. I took the machine in for a faulty screen & was told the warranty was not valid because I purchased it on line, this seemed odd considering I was instructed to make the purchase on line If I wanted that machine. Purchases made with the BB card are still insured aren’t they, that would be the only reason I made the purchase with that card. Since that faulty purchase I’ve made the most resent purchase through the apple site (that machine is working great) However I had been interested in purchasing a new pc (if this can’t be repaired or replaced) & a new iphone this holiday season. The all inclusive home protection we pay monthly should cover the issue, however when I contacted the BB at Park in Plano they claimed their was nothing to be done since I had payed the balance off on the card. I’ve enjoyed the convenience of the bb stores in the past, my family & I are more likely to utilize the other shopping options if this card purchase guarantee can not be honored(was informed that items purchased with the card received additional coverage). Please let us know the next actions that need to be taken, thank you .

Gorgeous computer, super fast unfortunately I had to return it because I had issues with connectivity to multiple monitors so it didn't work for me.

Graphics issues right out of the box and I was on phone with Geek Squad for an hour. Display had shadows. Also sound would automatically drop by 50% when a video is paused and resumed! Keyboard offered little tactile satisfaction (compared with Dell XPS). Backlight would go off every 30 seconds (very annoying)! Power cord at weird angle sticking out! Poor design! My old HP spectre was good design but screen started to flicker to has to get a new one.

I was so excited to get this laptop. I need it for business. It often times got very hot and I would have to turn it off. Just after 1 year it wouldn't turn back on. Geek squad couldn't fix it so I was given store credit for a new laptop. I went with a Samsung and love it. I would not recommend this computer at all!!!

No use for the pencil, have to download too many apps to simply highlight a book, gets hot fast.

It’s a nice laptop but sound quality is horrible. It’s not that loud which is horrible when trying to watch something with someone

This is the worst computer I have ever owned and I have owned a lot. The computer is incredibly slow, it over heats, applications freezes. And it will neve connect automatically to my screen until I have tried several times. I am currently exploring ways to return it Ana get my money back, I have only had it for 6 months.

The laptop was nice, however it got hot really fast. It was super hot can’t sit on lap. Also the camera is horrible.

VERY SLOW NOT ENOUGH PORTS KEYBOARD BLACKLIGHT DOES NOT STAY ON LONG ENOUGH

The charger has stopped working. I do not know if it is the chaelrger or the Port.
