It’s fine
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up not using it as much. The screen size is a little too small for me and it runs a little hot, but it works.

Very Bad Laptop Stay Away
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this laptop on August 8th. For a week the laptop worked very well. Since past week i am having too many problems with the laptop like. Laptop will randomly freezes, The screen will start flickering, The computer will randomly crash. The hp support is almost non existent. I will never buy HP product again. I am a student. I have to do my homework. Now i am stuck with a machine that does not work when it needs to work. HP has really left a bad impression. Please take my advice and look somewhere else. I spent $1000 plus on this machine. It is beyond unacceptable. I tried updating drivers and all the other stuff that needs to be done. Please take my advice and go somewhere else

Beware! Screen cracked when flipped into tablet
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to flip from lab top to tablet and my thumb went thru the screen at the webcam. There’s a dead space on either side of the camera that’s why it went thru with no force!! Contacted HP and was told they didn’t consider that a default!! How is it not?!? When you get a lawsuit bc of it I’m sure you’ll remember me then! Then they tell me it cost half the price of the computer , 699$, and It’s not even 7 months old! I paid 1790 for it and they want to charge me 700 to fix a screen that’s defaulty and it’s still under warranty and I paid extra for geek squad it’s all a scam!! Do not buy!!! I’m out of work bc of it and still am

Not worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop a few months ago from my local BestBuy and I've already had multiple issues. I had to send my laptop back to HP for repair and even after the initial repair, the laptop still isn't functioning optimally. The two problems I had in regards to my laptop were the frequency of crashes (blue screen of death) as well as the occasional phantom mouse. The first issue was fixed, but the second hasn't. This mouse issue actually got worse and I probably have to send my laptop back a second time. I also did a little research and turns out the phantom mouse is a pretty common issue amongst other HP Spectre users. Although this piece of machinery is absolutely gorgeous, I should've gone with a more practical choice. I was bamboozled; don't judge a book by it's cover.

Stopped connecting to wifi after less than 1 week.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in early Sept for school. Only started using it on the last week of Sept when school was about to start. After one week, it suddenly stopped connecting to wi-fi. I tried everything I know to try and fix it but was unsuccessful. I can still connect to the internet but had to use an ethernet cable. Made an appointment with the Geek Squad and even they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. In the end, they just told me that since it has been less than 30 days from the date of purchase, to just return it and get a new one. And then they told me to consider getting a different brand & model because I might encounter the same problem if I get the exact same laptop. Very stressful because I needed a laptop to write my papers required on the first week of school.

Lemon
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop in July, and it stopped working in November. I have sent it in to HP for repairs and now it has happened for a third time. I do not recommend this product. I could not power the unit on, nor charge it if it died or was powered off. I sent the laptop to HP twice (same issue) and now that it has happened a third time I am leaving HP and buying a different computer. This unit was functional for 4 months, the last two have been wasted with shipping and "repairs". There is no way to get your money back if you buy a faulty product so beware.

A lot of laptop for the $$!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop pretty much has everything you'll need for college and then some. It's thin and light while also being an absolute powerhouse, plus it just looks fantastic. The 4k display is nice, but I would suggest going with the 1080p panel if you can; you'd hardly be able to tell the difference between the two on a 13-inch display.. plus you'd get better battery life on the 1080p model. That being said, I haven't had any real problems with battery life on this device. I would suggest keeping the backlit keyboard off and keeping brightness below 50% to maximize your battery life. I get around 6 hours with normal use. If you do find yourself out of battery, this thing charges VERY quickly. The keyboard is one of my favorites out of the ultrabooks I've tried, the key travel is just right. While I really wish this came with Windows Precision drivers for the trackpad, the synaptic drivers have been perfectly fine. In summary, I'd take this over a MacBook Pro any day;)

When it works it is a powerful amazing laptop.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need to restart 1-2 times a day because: Internet becomes slow, cant even watch/download a video Can't select words to copy them Can't play a youtube video Sound stops working after I use bluetooth Can't drag the windows The connect automatically when you start the computer function doesn't work Any keyboard will open the windows menu All the touch-pad functions stop working, except for the cursor movement. When the laptop works I am satisfied and happy: is fast, battery lasts me around 8 hrs or more. Basically after a restart I have around 2-4 hours before I need to restart it. If I knew that It has this problems I wouldn't have bought it, it is a headache. I know the problems are from HP because I have an older 2012 Lenovo which is slow but it doesn't have this issues.

Most expensive and Worst computer i've ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had 5 laptops through college and now that I own my own business this is my second one that I use daily to run QuickBooks, the internet and Microsoft office programs. At just over two weeks, it started freezing up and shutting off. Wouldn't turn back on, I would do everything I could find online to get it to reboot but nothing... about 10 hrs. or so go by and it would decide to turn back on again. Next it started dropping the internet regularly. I would be connected and out of the blue I would have no internet. I would open my internet settings and it would say connected but no access so I will have to disconnect and reconnect probably 5 times a day. I was told this was supposed to be the fastest computer that I could get other than a gaming computer and it is no faster than my 2017 8GB HP pavilion if anything it runs slower.... For the money it is not worth it. Best buy would not take it back because it was out of the 15 day return period and HP warranty would take weeks to "fix". I cant run a business without a computer for weeks. So now I am stuck with a $1600 computer that functions like a $200 computer or maybe worse.... Shame on best buy. Pathetic to rave about this wonderful product and then force me into keeping it when it doesn't work.

It's okay
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall review for this product would have been a lot higher if the motor board is not trash. I was able to use the laptop for a good deal of software and programs without a major program, maybe a bit of lagging. The only problem would be the shifting of the motorboard, so now I absolutely cannot use my wireless mouse nor plug in any earbuds. I ended having to buy a bluetooth mouse and a hub specifically for the Type C plug.
