Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the Spectre x360's lightweight design, impressive battery life, and strong performance, particularly praising the speed of its solid-state drive. Many appreciate its compact size and the convenience of the touchscreen. While some users mention that the device can get warm during intensive use and that the fan can be noticeable at times, the positive feedback on its portability and elegant design outweighs these concerns for most buyers.

Don't trust open box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this PC open box because of the sale that was going on. Received the laptop in 'excellent' condition, but the tab key was broken. No way to get a replacement. Looks like maybe if I spend an extra $20 I could get another one, but who knows. Probably return it tomorrow. Also the charge lasts no where near what was advertised. In airplane mode watching a tv show downloaded to the hard drive it lasted around 3 hours muted with brightness at 50%.

Solid hardware, weak OS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Spectre 360 is an impressive laptop however the installed OS & additional software is a huge letdown.

Best laptops I've ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned and configured about 40 or 50 laptop models through my lifetime and this is not only the best laptop I've owned, but also my favorite purchase of the past or so decade. It's a pleasure to use, it never feels like i'm fighting against the computer to get something done. Pros: -Extremely fast (NVMe SSD is great) -Very comfortable keyboard (great travel) -Ideal display -Thin -Quiet -Light -USB-C charging cable fits snuggly, is reversible (can't insert it upside down) and charges quickly -Ideal resolution for screen size (Windows sucks at scaling older applications, 4k displays on a small screen are more of a hinderance than an advantage) -Touch -On the higher end 16GB/512Gb SSD model much more affordable than the comparable Dell XPS 13 with the same configuration. -Speakers are nice and loud Cons: - Display could be brighter, at 100% it's very bright but kills battery so fast you're more likely to be running at 75% or so. - Gets a bit warm on left side when stressing GPU (doesn't bother me)

Hp Spectre
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit worked great however I was told it had touch screen capabilities with a stylus and that feature was removed from this model. That was one of the major reasons i had selected this model, so I ended up returning for a different system.

Looks amazing...But it has too many issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, I'd like to say that this is the second of two HP Spectre laptops I've purchased. The first one had an issue with the SSD so I returned it to the store for the same exact model hoping for different, better results. However, this one also has issues. This time, the issues I'm having are related to fan noise and frequent system crashes and freezing. This laptop is only 3 months old. I should not be having ANY issues. HP wants me to send the laptop in for troubleshooting. I'm pretty sure they'll be able to repro the issue but will not be able to fix it. They will more than likely end up just replacing this one for an equally defective one. Very unfortunate.

It didnt turn on!!!.. Not even for first time!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So dissapointed, I cannt believe it yet!... I bought the spectre the last monday and I didnt open it because I have to leave, last night came back and opened and conected and try to turn it on, and never could!!.. The light in caps lock was flashing... I read about this and a lot of people have this problems after some weeks, months but in the first time?, so bad lucky? no, its poor quality and no tested properly. I took it back and the geek guy said "that light indicates is mother board problem".. Oh yes!, I read about it but too late and after I bought it. Now I am waiting for my money back and buy another one, never a spectrum or maybe no a HP.

Problems Showed after 50 days after purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.50 days after purchase, I started experiencing 1. Network problems. 2. Does not go to safe mode 3. Random Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). I contacted HP and they told me to try to exchange it where I purchased it which is Best Buy. As an Elite Plus member, I would've been able to exchange it within 45 days from purchase. Too bad it's been 50 days. All I really wanted was to exchange for the same laptop since mine was defective. Now I am having to send my laptop to HP for them to "try to repair" this brand new laptop. Other than the problems I talked about, everything else worked fine.

Never buy hp product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my $1000 dollar laptop started to have problems under 1 month. It started heating up and also battery was only running for 6 hours(no where near to company advertised) while doing just normal stuff on internet. I sent this to HP service 2 time, they were able to solve heating problem but not battery. They keep saying that they installed new battery pack but did't make any difference. Now, I am stuck with this garbage product. I really recommend If you are going to spend above $900, just get apple Macbook air or pro. most reliable and great customer service.

Replaced 2014 15" Apple Macbook Pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my 2-year-old 15" Macbook Pro. No regrets. I'm running two external monitors via the Plugable USB 3.0 docking station which is hooked up via a HooToo USB C to HDMI, USB, etc. adapter with power pass through. It's slightly kludgey, but it means I only need to connect one USB C cable to the laptop for power and all of my accessories. The new Spectre is as both faster and more stable then my Macbook Pro was (so far). The pricing for the new Apple Macbooks is basically ridiculous. I'll take a full touch screen over a touch bar any day!

Outstanding Ultrabook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with my purchase. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this computer as an open box item. The PC came in perfect condition and operates flawlessly. I previously owned a 2010 MacBook air which still worked well but was showing its age. The pros: Light! Beautiful design Premium Feel Keyboard and trackpad (I was worried about the trackpad since switching from a macbook air, but no reason to worry) Really fast Windows 10 Cons: I wish one of the USB-C ports were on the right side. This would allow the charging cable to to be plugged in to the more convenient side.

Best Laptop Yet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After my Sony Vaio Flip started to have issues with the keyboard and touchpad, I started looking for a replacement. My wife has the non-touch HP Spectre and we both really like it, so this laptop was an obvious choice. After using this laptop for over a month, I have found that it is fast, has plenty of hard disk space for my needs and is much quieter than our other Spectre. Pros: -Fast (Boot and performance) -Touch screen and touchpad are accurate and a pleasure to use Cons: -Battery discharges too quickly when not in use -Small Bezel on sides can lead to unintentionally touching the screen when moving the screen -Touch screen is bouncy when on a hard surface, but is less noticeable when on my lap Speed: This laptop boots up in 10 seconds or less. It often takes 8 seconds and you are at the desktop, ready to go. The i7 processor combined with 16GB of RAM make quick work of anything. I really just needed the 512GB hard disk, but I appreciate having the 16GB of RAM. I notice the computer not lagging like my other Spectre or the Sony when using multiple programs. Keyboard: They keyboard is really nice to type on. I don't notice the short travel on the keys. Even though there is little contrast on for the keyboard back-light (silver keys with white light), I'm not bothered by it. I am used to it from my Sony and it wasn't an issue watching Netflix on the porch in the dark. I like that the function keys at the top of the keyboard are active instead of the F1-F12. I can easily change the brightness, back-light, volume or playback controls without having to use the FN key. The only drawback is that you have to hit the FN key to refresh a web page using the F5 key. I am used to it now though. Screen: I spent a while at Best Buy comparing the bounce in the screens between this Spectre x360 and the Lenovo. The Lenovo was noticeably less bouncy. I have found that the screen on the Spectre x360 is noticeably bouncier when places on a hard surface, like a table. I use it 90% of the time on my lap and it is much less bouncy. In fact, I don't even notice any different from my old Sony, so I am very happy I didn't let the bouncy screen deter me. The small bezel on the sides is nice and it makes for a smaller form factor, but I have noticed that if I'm moving the screen around from the side I sometimes end up touching the screen and doing something unintended, like closing a window. I don't notice fingerprints on the screen when indoors, but they are very noticeable when outsize. Touchpad: I really like the touchpad more than I expected and use it more than I would have thought. It works much better than others I have used, even our other Spectre. It is very accurate and the gestures work really well. I have used other touchpapers where scrolling with two fingers turns into zooming. I have not had that problem in this device. The Fan: The fan on my wife's Spectre is really annoying. Because of the small form factor of her Spectre, the fans are really tiny and make a really high pitched noise. The Fan on her laptop runs quite often when streaming and even when just using the internet. The fan on this Spectre x360 is not as loud or as high pitched. Plus, it doesn't run nearly as often. In fact, I can't remember the last time I heard the fan. Battery: The battery is a little bit of a concern. I have found that it lasts about 6-7 hours of mixed use (videos and browsing), which I am happy with. The problem I have found is that the battery discharges more than necessary when POWERED OFF. I'm not talking about in sleep mode or hibernate (I rarely use those because it takes so little time to boot up). For instance, I charged the laptop fully overnight and 12 hours after I unplugged the laptop, the battery had already lost 9%. Hopefully that will get resolved in a future firmware/driver release. Overall, I love this laptop and I would recommend it!
