    A+++++ Laptop - Excellent Quality

Just purchased the HP Spectre X360 and can't be more pleased. The quality of this laptop is light years beyond your typical plastic laptop. Many reviewers are calling it an Apple killer, not sure why since the deciding factor is whether you use Windows or IOS. The Display is perfect, excellent video and resolution. 8G of ram and 512G of SSD is a perfect combination. Sound quality is crisp and loud.. I've read some complaints on the Clickpad and thought the same thing until I learned how to use it. There's nothing wrong with the Clickpad. My only concern is the fan. When I first turned on the laptop I never heard the fan. Used it all day and it was quiet. The next morning the fan sounded like a hair dryer, my first thought was to take it back but instead I updated the bios and it's been 5 hours and no fan noise. Hopefully the loud fan was a one time thing. So if you're looking for a quality laptop that is extremely fast and runs Windows 8 like it was designed for it (It was) then your going to love this baby. Regards

    AMAZING!

This is the best laptop I have ever owned. It is incredibly fast and sleek. It is a beautiful computer. The Ultra HD screen is crystal clear. I figured the difference between ultra HD and regular HD would be barely noticeable, but the difference is huge. I read quite a few reviews about the fan being loud, but mine makes no noise at all. The bottom does get pretty hot and can get too hot to place directly on my lap. However, that is a very small price to pay and it doesn't always get that hot.

    The best convertible!

This is the best convertible laptop currently in the market. Trust me, I've tried them all. The build quality is fantastic, solid construction, amazingly loud and clear speakers, incredible screen, the most comfortable and easy to use keyboard(no need to press the fn key to control volume, screen brightness, etc.), I like the over sized track-pad. It's worth every penny!

    Overall great laptop

Just picked up today, not sure they should have sold it to me. Fit and finish not bad. Plenty quick for new Broadwell I7, it's not an M like in the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro. This thing can run rings around the Yoga 3 Pro. It has the UHD display , 512gb SSD, and 8gb's of ram. Display is bright enough, not sure it's as bright as the 1080 display. Battery life seems ok, no reviews out there yet for this model. I'm sure it will take a hit because of this display. It's thicker than the Yoga 3 pro and definitely thicker in the tablet mode, feels a little awkward in this mode. Overall I'm happy with purchase.

This is the best little laptop I've ever had. It's small, clear, very easy to transport and doesn't bog down....very fast. I got it to use instead of my I-pad (hate Safari) and use it for Internet, watching movies, reading, documents everything. Love the touchscreen. Don't have to carry a mouse or use the touchpad. The touchscreen is quite responsive. Love the fact that it is 360 degrees of rotation too. I'm not computer technical so I cannot judge that aspect, but you won't be sorry spending the extra $$ for this one.

    Gorgeous laptop

Definitely one of the most beautiful and versatile laptops I've ever seen. Its screen display is really sharp and rich, lots of memory space, nice and sharp speaker, and of course, I really love the fact that you can light the keyboard on or off (all you have to do is press the F5 key). The only downside I can think of is that I feel like the trackpad is a little too wide--I personally don't like it but I guess many others consider this a positive point. However, I can cope with that and for me, it doesn't make this laptop get any less than 5 stars!

    Terrific 2/1 laptop

This laptop/tablet has met my expectations. It is very fast, screen resolution is great & the best part is switching to tablet mode by simply folding it back. Super easy to use. It came with Windows 8.1 but upgraded easily to Windows 10 without a hitch. Kudos to HP for making such a great PC.

    HP Support is the worst

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

About 4 months after buying this laptop it would not power up. Push the power button and...nothing. HP Forums mention a similar issue so this may be global. First call to support I talked to a gentlemen who clearly had no clue what he was doing (broken english, repeated the same questions over and over) and I had to hang up. Second call to support was almost the same so I went to the HP Facebook page where a support person was responsive, but ultimately could not solve the issue and gave me another phone number to call. My first try put me on hold for about 12 min and I hung up. The next morning I was put on hold for 5 min then informed (again in broken english) that they were having "systems issues" and asked to call back in 15-20 min. Wow...HP should think about starting an airline. As to the laptop, it is thin and sexy but runs very hot (fan is constantly on, but expected with the i7. If not for the power issue and the FUBAR customer support I would rate it a bit higher. Never again...

    Beatiful and fantastic keyboard

I needed a laptop to work with a non-for profit group. I needed it to be a PC that was versatile, powerful and to be honest I wanted to look atheistically pleasing. The HP Spectre 360 has been great. I have had it for a few weeks now and it has been easy to use, quick and I have had no problems at all. I really am impressed and would recommend it to anyone that requires a laptop with the Microsoft operating system. The only issue I had to contend with was a sensitive touchpad, but that is actually minor once you get used to it.

    Overpriced

Yes it has a lot going for it. I just kept thinking it was trying to be a macbook air running windows. Too dainty and petite for me. Screen just could not get WHITE. I wanted to keep it. Really. HP is just not what they used to be. The side system fan was so annoying like a jet engine! The new, new kid on the block is the the recently released all aluminum Dell Inspirons and XPS. Check out the Dell 7548 , the model with the 4K QHD display with dedicated 4gb AMD Radion graphics AND 12gb system graphics with a 1 TB HDD. I bought that and I finally feel like I got a great deal for under $1000. Finally! After 8 purchases or so from every manufacturer except Acer and Toshiba. Best Buy Blue Label is great. Microsoft store is more like an outlet store. Stay away from Macbook if you like to tinker at all.

    Who was the genius?

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Many laptops (previous HP models also) allow you to easily click a button on the keyboard to disable the touch-pad. If you are using an external mouse you do not need to worry about brushing against it and messing up your work. Who was the genius that made this track-pad so wide and to make matters worse remove the button to disable it? If you do not rest against the touch-pad when you type this may currently be one of the best laptops available. That's why I was so upset. The fan can get loud at times but that’s understandable due to i7. I guess the YOGA 3 is the better one overall if you do not need i7 plus you also get better resolution. Did someone research why the button to disable the touch pads were on most other laptops or why they were not so wide? HP has been in the business too long to make such basic mistakes. Fix it in your future models and you'll have me buying HP laptops again.

    Great laptop - Infected software

New Laptop - great features. Unfortunately came with Trojan horses, internet malware, and unsolicited adware. Many hours of my time and that of a Symantec expert were needed to finally "fix'. Microsoft Internet and McAfee security neither identified nor prevented this malicious software.

    Not impressed with performance

The least to say about this machine is that it is not impressive... I have many issues for only a one week old high end PC.. office will run much faster on my tablet than on this i7 machine... the fan was too noisy after few days and suddenly it became OK, but performance dropped significantly...it takes a long time to open some applications... In addition, the light on the keyboard back light key is very annoying... In general I do not have a good feeling about this PC and will give it two more days and might be returning it then. It is a beautiful machine, but poor performance.

    Beats Audio Speakers Crackle

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Unfortunately, I should have read the HP Forums before purchasing this product. Several people have had problems with the earlier releases of the HP Spectre X360 containing the Beats Audio system. HP has modified their specs and now offer a different audio package. HP support has been a nightmare! We have returned the unit twice to HP since purchasing in April 2015. The latest episode included the customer service rep yelling at us for requesting a replacement! I asked Best Buy Customer Service (twice) for their help in dealing with HP but have only been directed to the Geek Squad. This product was initially sold exclusively by Best Buy - you'd think they might help (at least answer) a request from a so called "Elite" member (or any member). Depending on how this all goes I may change my review, but as for now - please do yourself a favor and think hard before purchasing an HP product, and don't expect help from Best Buy if you do!

Hate this laptop, Returning it (again) tomorrow

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I ordered this laptop online, and when it arrived clearly something was wrong. I brought it to Geek Squad, who told me it had a defective Mouse Pad. Best Buy exchanged it for a new one and off I went. I used my NEW new laptop for a matter of three hours when, wouldn't you know it...the mouse pad stopped working again. I took it to Best Buy again, and this Geek Squad person figured out that the real problem was the mouse pad driver. He fixed it (on the second laptop) and showed me how to fix it in the future. The very next day (today) the mouse pad stopped working AGAIN. So I went in and manually fixed the driver issue, like he had shown me. However, when I pay $1400 for a laptop I don't want to have to fix a driver issue EVERY DAY!! I'll be returning this P OS tomorrow and getting a Lenovo Yoga 3 for the same price. All of my friends and family warned me not to buy an HP and I sooo should have listened to them. What an embarrassment this computer is. Same issue, on two brand new laptops... Fail HP, major Fail. I'll never be buying another HP computer again, in my lifetime

    screen breaks do not buy

Im a college student, was very excited to get this laptop. I even spent over $200 for the GeekSquad protection. In less than a month, It fell from the couch and the screen shattered making the entire PC unusable. At the time I was really glad I purchased the protection plan, so I take it to BestBuy and they send it in. Its been over a month and a half and here I am a college student with no laptop and no clue where my computer is because GeekSquad had to order multiple parts to fix it and they have no estimation of when I will receive it. Not pleased what-so-ever with this product, or my experience.
