Love
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Specter 360 is a power machine. Fast start up. Just wish the SSD hard drive was larger. But it's great! Worth the money

Fast, responsive, slick and light!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, i've had this x360 for the past month now and i'll give an honest and a practical review of this machine, but first a bit about how i decided on an x360! So, i was in the market to replace my ageing Dell XPS 2012 which had served me well for 4 years and I naturally looked into the current Dell XPS line and the only one on offer from best buy was a machine with mammoth specs for over 2000 dollars. I realized my needs weren't that intensive. I do not run graphic intensive apps or play games so it would have been foolish to spend that kind of dough. All i needed was a machine that runs fast and smooth for power web-browsing, streaming videos, document editing videos and running engineering software like Arduino, Perl and Matlab. My search was initially focused on Spectre x360 13 inch, Lenovo Yoga 900 and the dell XPS 13. I fiddled with all of them one by one and read as much as i could about and as good as they all are i just couldn't settle with a 13 inch screen anymore especially since the size of phones and tablets have grown tremendously to the point where a 13 inch ultrabook isn't desirable to me as my main machine. But most of the 15 inch laptops that I could find for less than 1500 dollars were either big, unwieldy, ugly machines or ones with substandard specs. 1080p is so 2012! It was then that HP spectre x360 15t magically appeared on best buy's website and i rejoiced when i saw that it was just a hair over 4 lbs. That's only a pound heavier than most 13 inch ultrabooks. I ordered one straight away and was blown away by the construction but my first machine was riddled with problems. It kept crashing on me with those blue screens, the audio was a bit off too! I got so disappointed and returned it. I was almost contemplating on going with the XPS 13 that i decided to give another unit a try after reading some positive things about the spectre 15t from an engadget review. I'm glad i did. My second unit which i've had for close to a month now has not crashed on me once. I did had to download and install a whole bunch of driver updates from HP, after having learnt my lesson from the first unit. This is still inexcusable for such an expensive machine but that's just how it is. I also had to uninstall McAfee to download chrome and then re-install it back on. Everything has been working like a charm on this laptop. Its fairly light for a 15 inch machine. Yeah, the bezels could have been a bit smaller but you won't notice them after you will set your eyes on that gorgeous 4k screen. I downloaded some 4k wallpapers because the stock ones just look ugly and God it looks gorgeous. Construction is just fantastic. All unibody aluminium with polished edges that look sick. I run my finger nails down the sides of the screen every now and then just to feel that reassuring substantial metallic construction. No creeks, no bend nothing. All solid! i love the keyboard although i would have desired a full number's keys as it has a lot of wasted space. The Audio quality is good not great but It does have decent bass though. It boots up in less than 10 seconds and it is a very quick machine. Normal tasks are a breeze with an i7 skylake and 16GB ram! I don't believe in benchmarks but i did open up 2 video streams in 4k with 8 other browsing tabs open in the background along with a word document and there was no lag or stutter at all. All of my engineering softwares run great as well on the dual core skylake i7. A quad core isn't really needed unless you're a professional video editor or a hardcore gamer. I'm an electrical engineer and so i haven't really used anything graphic intensive like Autocad or Solidworks or even photoshop so i can't really vouch for its graphics performance. The intel 520 hd graphics should be good enough for most people. If you are doing anything like that then you need to look elsewhere. It also lack support for windows hello. One thing to note, it does have air vents at the bottom so you won't be able to use this on the lap or the bed but i still do with the unit propped up a bit with one of my hand or I use a big hard-cover book. The thin design coupled with the tablet mode capability has caused HP to make those rubber feet down at the bottom rather thin so they do get blocked easily on a non-level surface. I just love this machine and besides a few complaints, which aren't deal-breaking by any means, i have nothing against this.It does most things very well and that's what most of us want. I also wish HP had kept the "HEWLETT PACKARD" logo like the 13 inch spectre. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

Great quality laptop for price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop because of the 4k display, 16GB of RAM, SSD and Core i7. Was on sale and made a great deal for a quality laptop! Just wished it had 512 GB SSD.

Great computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an easy computer. Love love love. It can do most anything you want, not a gamer here so do more research if that's what you are looking for, I would not know.

Solid laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 16GB version so it doesn't freeze up. Not necessarily the prettiest laptop of them all, but pretty good and I felt like I got my money's worth.

Great 2-1 laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great laptop to start off with. The one back draw that always gets me is not having a number pad, but that's just me. Besides that it's a great buy.
