First laptop crashed in less than a week and had to return for a new one, 2nd is great. Very fast, long battery life. Mouse pad can be super touchy and zooms when you don't want it to.

Love it! Getting older and the bigger screen is easy to read. The touch screen is great. Great speed and does just about anything a non- gamer would need.

great computer with a beautiful screen

I was in the market for a 15 inch laptop with a solid state drive, skylake i7 processor and 16 gb of ram. This one being a two in one made it immediately catch my eye so I went to my local best buy store to check it out. The beautiful aluminum body is irresistible to look at and the screen has amazing definition. One negative is even at 100% the screen still isn't super bright and it also makes the battery drain fast. I still get about 5 hours of use with screen at full brightness but I mostly use it at 50% and get closer to seven. The processor and ssd make this computer very fast and great at multitasking. I did have to exchange my first unit as the screen kept flickering black(apparently as others have noted hp has quality control issues and alot of people have gotten a dud the first time). However Best Buy has a great exchange program and it wasn't a problem to get another unit. I love putting this laptop in presentation mode and using it as a tablet on my lap but it is a little too big/heavy to actually use as a tablet. Overall I am in love with this computer and hope it will last me as long as my other touchscreen devices.

I arrived to my local Best Buy in search of my next tool to help me get through school. I showed up asking about ASUS...then quickly went to the computer that I am writing this review on: the Spectre. The price is great for the features. It is fast in both laptop and tablet mode. I have yet to watch a 4K movie on it but with Office and some songs installed I will still have plenty of room to add one.

I bought this computer yesterday. I am generally happy with it. I wish this was offered in the Ash Sliver color. Fast computer. No real complaints except for a few minor cosmetic gripes. The computer is quiet and the touch screen is nice. I bought the Stylus and it is decent. This computer would have a 5 out of 5 rating if it was offered in the other color.

    Beautiful Notebook But.......

I bought this notebook based on the HP name and specs of the notebook. I especially liked it weight, looks and the fact it was a 2 in 1. The deciding factor was the battery life that HP was saying that this notebook had. I was not expecting 13 hours and I knew that it all depends on what I am doing at the time. I am VERY disappointed that I am only getting 5 - 6 hours at this point and all I am doing is reading email, and doing Facebook. I would think that I could at least reach 8 to 9 hours and maybe a little more when doing low load activities. According to some of the blogs I have read after the purchase many users there were expressing dissatisfaction over battery life. If I had read them first, I don't think I would have purchased the Spector 360. I have reduced my screen to 50% brightness as suggested but hate the low light, like my screens brighter. I am going to give the Geek Squad a chance to see if they can help me. Some in the blog are saying to make sure that the notebook has the correct BIOS. I don't like doing BIOS upgrades, afraid I will make a mistake and make the device into a brick. I very much like the notebook but the short battery is sooooo disappointing. I bought a certified open box notebook to save a very bucks since this notebook is not cheap. I think I found out why the last person might have returned it. I am also thinking of returning too if I can't get a longer battery life. If battery life is not an issue, then purchase this one, otherwise you might want to look someplace else.

Bought it for my new business...

I bought this computer for my new business. So far it is working out as expected. Did a lot of research and selected this. Since it is my primary computer, I could afford to get the latest and greatest. Even though this has been out for six months or so, this serves my needs best - thin, light, touch with a 15 " screen.

    Great 2 in 1

I was torn for months on which 2 in 1 to buy. I read reviews talked with family and friends to see what they liked. Although none had purchased this one, all roads seemed to lead me back to this it. Turns out i am getting a lil bit older. (who knew??...lol) so i wasn't looking for a smaller, lighter easy to carry around unit such as the 13" models. Mine will mostly be used at home so i wanted a 15" model. It boots up so fast compared to my older laptop thanks to the ssd. Unless you have been hiding under a rock for years, that is not new news but it's still worth mentioning. The keyboard is responsive, i am not the fastest typer but have had no problems with missing key strokes. The edge where my wrists touch is sharp. Not sharp as i am going to cut myself but definitely not rounded. It's really not a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning. I have owned many different hp laptops over the years and this is hands down the nicest one yet. It's fast, loaded with features and a pleasure to use This unit fits my needs/wants in a laptop. If after reading its description and specs and it's what you are looking for i would say go for it, you wont be disappointed. If it doesn't, move along there's nothing to see here..haha

    Good, but not great

I purchased this HP Spectre x360 in June, 2016 at a local Best Buy. The Good: - I like the 2 in 1 design! - The wide, touch screen monitor is really nice. - Fast Processor. - Low weight. The Bad: - The Bang & Olufsen speakers are a total joke. Sound quality is not good. I've adjusted the settings but the speakers don't come anywhere close to the sound quality on my Mid 2014 Macbook Pro. BTW. - The touch-pad is difficult to use. I recommend a mouse when using this laptop. Overall, good laptop, but HP should install better speakers and work on their touch pads.

I have bought several laptops in the past (two teenagers and one in college) This has by far been the best so far. Very fast and dependable big screen and I enjoy using it as a tablet as well for my crazy candy crush addictions, the battery doesn't seem to last as long as I think it should, but overall very pleased with my purchase

I was debating between a surface type laptop and a regular laptop, and I'm so glad I chose this one. Way more storage and processing speed for the money, the screen is big and beautiful, and still can be used in tablet mode with a touchscreen. Nice and speedy fast, with a real keyboard and beautiful display

I fell in love with this laptop the second I found it online. I waited until it was available in stores and we checked it out and it was perfect . unfortunately I ended up exchanging 3 of them . the first one was glitching and didn't upload any of the updates and I kept getting errors .the best buy staff were very friendly and exchanged it very easily with the second one but unfortunately they put the money on a gift card for easier exchange .the second one was even worse than the first one , it took about 10 minutes to start and freezing and glitching again and the touch screen didn't work and....... so we went back to get our money back and they said they cant give our money back because they exchanged it with a gift card .so because of mistake bestbuy employee did we were stuck with $1400 gift card .so we decided to order the 3rd one hoping that this one will be good .but fist of all it was supposed to be here in 2 days but I received it after a week . and after few days of very normal use it started the same problems. I'm totally over HP and now I'm taking this laptop back and I'm stuck with $1400 gift card because of the best buy costumer service decided without telling me to put my money on a gift card for an easier exchange . very angry right now and I will never ever listen to the employees laptop suggestions again .

Great Laptop, not so great touchscreen features

I had originally looked at the Microsoft Surface Pro because of the active pen. However, once in store, I was directed to a Lenovo Yoga 900. I returned it because it did not support any kind of active stylus. It was then recommended that I get the HP Spectre x360. I wish I'd gotten the Surface Pro. The Spectre x360 is a good laptop, but the touchscreen functionality is mediocre. Tapping on buttons does not seem to always activate them, despite the circle that briefly appears on the screen. And don't bother if you want to use a stylus for more than tap-&-click. Despite what is said in forums, the Dell active stylus 750-AAGN did not work at all, even after searching for drivers and calibrating the laptop. Come to find out, supposedly Windows 10 doesn't support it. So far the only pen that I've found to work with this laptop is the HP Active Stylus, and it's functionality with this laptop is not that great. It does not recognize pressure despite being told by the HP rep that it had 250 points of pressure. Based on my experience, I would NOT get the Spectre x360 if you're looking for a 2-in-1 laptop. They're are cheaper laptops that do not have the touchscreen, or the folding ability, that will provide just as good performance. The touch screen and stylus pen functionality do not work well enough to pay the additional costs in my opionion.
