I bought this to replace an HP Pavilion laptop that I bought in 2011 (still working great but a bit slow). I first tried an Asus and then a Dell, but was disappointed with both due to various hardware and software issues. I decided to go back to HP and am glad I did. This one is awesome! I have had no issues at all, and the look and feel are great. The only drawbacks for me is the large track pad area (I prefer a mouse), which causes my watch to catch on the edge sometimes, and that the high resolution is a bit too much for some programs. Otherwise, this is a perfect machine for me.

I really wanted this computer for college. It met all of my engineering school's requirements, but dealing with Best Buy has been a nightmare. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE IF YOU NEED HELP. I have been holding for 30 minutes. They charged my credit card twice but didn't give me a computer. Finally my bank had to call Best Buy. The computer is great but I don't see Best Buy surviving that's why I bought service protection from HP directly. I don't think Best Buy will be around to service the computer. So disappointed in the store but not the computer.

Well thought out laptop computer with an incredible screen. Purchased it to do 4K video editing. Hope to get to it soon.

Buy a IPAD it does more and cast less than half as much. This was my 2nd purchase of the computer in 1 week. First one out of the box kept crashing. HP Costs me $1700- and you can not use it out of the box other than to surf the web. -- You then have to purchase Windows software if you want to do anything with windows -- -- Has no DVD player so you have to purchase one of those -- You have to purchase DVD software to make it work. --Windows 10 will not support a DVD player so you have to purchase software for that also ( at least that is what the GEEK SQUAD member told me I had to do So I spent $100- for the DVD player -- S[pent $50 for the software upgrade immediately out of the box then GEEK SQUAD said I needed to purchase DVD DRIVER software for $100- to make it all work. MAC BOOK right out of the box does more and cost less in the long run after you spend for all the extras just to be able to use it. BIG THUMBS DOWN -- MY OPINION -- WORTHLESS FOR THE MONEY. I explained to the BESTBUY sales rep exactly what I wanted and was going to use it for -- HE SAID he has a master in computer technology. NEVER ONCE did he tell me how much extra I was going to have to spend to make it work. JUST INTERESTED IN THE SALE.

This laptop does everything I need and it is really fast so I'm thinking of getting a second one

I purchased and used this computer for 2 weeks to compare with an Asus Zenbook 15". My criteria for a computer was: weight (less than 5lbs), good build quality, 15" screen, SSD Drive and 4K display. The 4K display was a major factor. I've used Apple MacBook Pros and a MacBook retina for years but needed a Windows PC. The 4K was needed so the pixel density was tight enough to what I was used to. Overall: Great Build Quality. The metal case felt solid, much better than cheap plastic. The keyboard was fine and the trackpad had a great feel. I really like the smooth glass trackpads which this had. The screen was fantastic with good contrast, off-angle viewing was more than acceptable and the colors popped. The 16GB was RAM was a bonus over 8GB and the i7 had plenty of horsepower. The one MAJOR FLAW in the video card. The Intel Core Iris 520 is NOT sufficient to run the 4K display. In use and testing I found that with 3 or more tabs open in Chrome or Firefox there would be visual lag when scrolling. Also there were small hiccups in playing 1080p and 4K video at full screen. This was with both .mp4 and .wmv video files. I compared it to an Acer Zenbook 15" which has a 2GB Geforce 960m. Not the most powerful card but much more than the Intel Iris graphics. I experienced no lag in use. I think that it may also be due to HPs engineering. As my MacBook doesn't have any issues with 1080p video or multiple tabs although the screen is a lower resolution. Due to this I cannot fully recommend the computer. If you are used to a basic computer, this may not bother you; however at the price point this computer is at the deficiencies in graphics performance for basic tasks is unacceptable.

This is an amazing and fast laptop, great one for a first time laptop owner!

Great light weight 2-in-1. Still learning the Windows 10 but love the new laptop.

After having serious problems with my Microsoft Surface after upgrading to Windows 10, I thought I'd try a different brand that has experience with computer hardware. So far, this HP Spectre fills the bill. Windows 10, light and enough processor to carry out the tasks I've subjected it to without an issue. I'll give it a few months and if anything changes, will report.

The HP Laptop with touchscreen works well in class for taking notes.

Igore the unlucky who had problems with this laptop. It's awesome in everyway unless you're doing 3D rendering or heavy film editing or heavy gaming. Its built beautifully and the 4k screen is awesome and the ports are great. Mine came with 2 years free Webroot Internet security which is better than Norton or Mcafee.

The first unit I purchased had a weak wifi signal.. Not sure if the card was loose like some reviewers I read had that problem,, but I elected to return it for a different one rather than open a new computer and void any warranty.. this 2nd unt has been flawless so far... I love it.

So smooth and the finishing is great on this , i bought this is Dec 2016 with a great deal and till date it runs smoothly. i had geek sqaud on this and accidentally screen was broken which was replaced in a week, Great service,

Too many issues with this pc, always dropping internet signal same error message, "not responding". Can never find my printer always showing offline after cpu is turned off or in sleep mode, however I can ALWAYS print from my phone. This PC is just a hassle. This pc gets extremely hot, even if I am just on the internet not really doing much of anything, fan turns on but doesn't seem to cool the cpu down have to close everything and let it sit. Just not that impressed by the quality, performance, or the fact I spend more time troubleshooting and restarting this pc.

I purchased this HP 2 in 1 because of its fast processor, fast boot up and light, sleek design. When I got home I started to install my software and I went to pick it up on the table and it slid back and scratched my table. I examined the 2 in 1 and saw that it has very sharp back edges along the hinges... a very poor design. I took it back to Best Buy the next day and exchanged it with a Dell 2 in 1 with the same processor and 4k display, because I couldn't risk scratching another table/desk. Now every day I look at my table and see the scratch that this extremely poor quality HP product left on my table. I will be emailing HP customer service to see how they will be paying to fix the scratch in my table.

One word describes this computer and it is perfection. The screen is 4k and it is brilliant. I love my product and hopefully everyone enjoys it just like I do.

When there is a completely white background my Spectre x360 15" QHD laptop shows darker greyish bars on the left and right sides of the screen. It looks like the edges of the screen are burned. The screen should be pure white from edge to edge and hot have these darker grey areas. I once battled this same kind of problem with television sets and had to return three of them to finally get one good one. I'm not happy with this and may return the laptop to try and get one with a more prefect looking screen.

I was looking for a good laptop and I found this (HP - Spectre x360 2-in-1 15.6 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive - Natural Silver). At first I was amazed by the beautiful design and keyboard, but when I started to use it for programs such as Visual Studio or other professional programs, the hard drive does not work and I keep on getting error messages. The battery runs out faster than a cigarette. Every other day the wifi is making me problems when I'm trying to connect. It takes quite a while to open files (although it's a SSD hard drive). When I use the touch feature it is freezing very frequently. I went to Best Buy on Sunday 5/15/16 in the Monroe, NY location. The manager was very nasty. She told me that the laptop is not made for whatever I tried to use it for. Her only suggestion was that I should buy another one. After spending over $1400 for this device, I should go spend for another one! I have an old much cheaper laptop which works much more efficient than this one. This "Intel Core i7" is from the cheapest technology and the same to the RAM and SSD hard drive. This is not similar to any other i7 on the market. So be aware if you are drawn by this beautiful design, because that's the only good part of this laptop.

This is the best laptop I've ever owned. The only flaw is that it doesn't come with a 1TB SSD option. I love it and when my wife's computer goes down we will be getting her one also.
