Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the responsive touch screen, strong performance, and lightweight design of the Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop. Positive feedback also frequently mentions the long battery life and fast SSD. However, some users note that the laptop can get warm during use and that the fan can be noisy at times. The relatively high price point is also a recurring concern for some customers.

High Quality and Very Well Equiped
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very nice laptop/convertible. Well equipped with 16 MB Ram and 500GB SSD. Screen is bright and LARGE...I got the 15.6" and to be honest, I think it is a little too large for my purposes. Would have done well with the next smaller size....but it was my choice. Highly recommended overall.

Why it's a good investment.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a college freshman, I wanted a laptop that would last me four at least four years. The HP spectre feels premium and would easily last me four years. The 512 GB memory is easily enough for college work and the 16 GB ram is more than necessary for anything I can throw at it. The pen has revolutionized my note taking and it allows me to carry just my laptop around instead of a bunch of notebooks. I've been using the laptop for around 1.5 months and I've never regretted my decision. Pros - large, bright, crisp screen (4K) - pen is smooth and works well with onenote - keyboard is amazing with better than average travel - trackpad is smooth and sensitive with no skipping - speakers are good for most media - battery lasts me all day - USB-A and USB-C - fans are quiet - never gets really hot Cons - bit heavy at around 4.4 pounds - the black and copper finish is easily scratched so be careful - screen is very reflective like all touchscreen computers - edges can be sharp

Not what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not meet my expectations. Was expecting a 5-star device but it deserves 3, not because of the looks but because of the cons which I listed below along with some pros. Got this hoping to be a fast & portable business laptop, mostly doing stuff in Adobe's CC suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.. all that good stuff. But the dual core just can't really catch up, if only it was a quad core, now that will give this an extra star. Meaning, do be wary that rendering / exporting 4k media will sometimes lag or freeze the program & start to overload the laptop so be patient with it. The main reason I bought this laptop was the display & the appearance of the laptop. It is very nice, being a designer, I take looks & attention to detail very high priority when buying anything, Also let me say, it's very premium with the gold & dark ash color combo & the aluminum chassis makes it sturdy, even the box was amazing (I'm for sure keeping the box) I really love the new HP logo on this & the S P E C T R E lettering on it is minimal & beautiful. Expect to turn heads with this one. Now let me break this done for you so you can decide whether it's a right fit for you ( if the cons don't bother you go ahead & get it, you will surely love it! ) Keyboard: CON - the keyboard has fewer keys than an average keyboard ( no delete keys on sides, etc..) so it took time to get used to CON - backlight on the keyboard is not customizable CON - my old laptop had a hotkey to turn off the screen only ( was good for privacy ) PRO- nice spacing, smoothness & travel Connections: CON- like any new ultrabook you only get 1 USB .0 slot PRO- 2 USB C slots PRO - Fast HDMI & SD card slots CON - Audio jack doesn't produce sound good for bass Software (Windows 10): CON- "unlock with a smile" doesn't work at all, it has only unlocked my laptop once with my face even when tried in different lighting PRO- its windows 10, still better than mac os ;) Display: CON - Since most programs & software are targeted at HD 1080p, & this being a 4k UHD display, everything looks small (icons, etc..) PRO - ITS A FREAKING 4K DISPLAY! It's beautiful & the small bezels make it so much better! Perfect for editing my 4k images Camera: Seems decent with nice wide angle, should be a little more HD though because you know... the display is 4k after all Speakers: PRO - Decent loud sound & points at you CON- At max volume it sounds bit muffled / static PRO- Bass is actually decent for integrated speakers Battery: PRO- charging is fast thanks to the USB C PRO - battery lasts a long time, gets me through the day when max charged ( at low to medium brightness, doing casual design work ) Touchscreen: (not really a big fan of touch laptops because it adds extra weight/ bulk & pricing, however...) PRO- It's actually pretty fast & it doesn't seem heavy & bulky compared to my friend's dell touch laptop CON - Windows still needs to improve touch functionality in their software PRO - Pinch to zoom in & out is nice (doesn't work in all programs, such as folders) CON- Sometimes when holding it or moving the laptop I accidentally touch the screen & it moves or closes something I had open... "360" aka tablet mode: PRO- Nice to design with PRO- Easy to adjust screen position to one's liking CON - Too big & heavy to hold like a real tablet. Pad: I dont really use the laptop pads since I always use a mouse to design but I dont like how this pad functions, clicks have to be forced & sometimes it gets left & right click wrong. Also this laptop flickers a lot when swithcing between dark & light screens, I talked to HP about it & theyre support is useless. Final thoughts: I still think it's very good but wished it was a quad core, for the price its alright, it is still better than a mac! If you need strong power for gaming this obviously won't cut it for you, but if you need this for work and or using Adobe CC programs it will be perfect especially the bonus of being able to use a stylus, but remember to be patient when exporting big 4k resolution files.

Spectre is Spectacular
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop for work related travel and this laptop is amazing. I love it. Everything about it is spectacular, the graphics, the ease of use, the look. I am so impressed with this laptop. I had to give up my mac and go back to HP. It is so much easier to use than my mac.

HP Spectre X360 is the best PC I've owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Spectre x360 was an easy choice to make. The top of the line features, specs and customer support are a winning combination. The 4K screen is lovely and hard for me to use a computer with any lesser resolution. The battery life is better than I expected. I am able to go the entire work day with on battery power. I was a bit worried that the 4K screen would cut into the battery life but I have not seen it. I upgraded the PC to Windows 10 Pro and added in the office suite, moved over my files and I was ready to go. I am glad I went with the bigger screen 15.6 " versus 13.3" as I use my larger monitor less than I thought because of the wonderful touch screen. The keyboard is perfect with the right amount of give and feel. I would highly recommend this laptop.

Got what I expected but still there are glitches
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm happy and satisfied with the product but there are few things which I'd like to address: Pros - 1. Beautiful and sturdy 2. Multipurpose laptop (this was the reason I switched from Mac to Windows) 3. Sleek Leather Case with Pen Holder 4. Pen precision is accurate 5. Great battery Life (Similar to a Mac) 6. Powerful specs 7. Value for money if you are still considering and Mac 8. Amazing BIG 4K screen Cons: 1. Usual Windows Laptop problems like getting hang, crashing, lagging sometimes for no reason 2. Wifi Adapter very sluggish when starting the laptop (takes time to search and connect) 3. Some may find it heavy 4. Fans turn on at full speed when you are using it at around 40% (it is annoying) 5. Windows Edge has some great built-in features but crashes for some apparent reason 6. Mac has a great touchpad, HP tried something similar but badly failed. But it is better than other Windows laptops. 7. I wished the keys would have been wider 8. The sound is not great being "marketed" as Bang & Olufsen 9. No light sensor for keyboard and screen (I wonder it would have cost a couple of bucks extra)

Good laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Always been a Mac guy, but I wanted a touch screen. I was deciding between this and the new dell xps 15. I chose the HP because it had better battery life, and cost about 800 dollars less than the XPS. Ultimately I am pretty satisfied with the laptop except for the fact that the battery drains while completely shut down.

If you want done right do yourself, mad, but good working computer. If had to do over would just do iPad and phone .

Love the facial recognition login
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great system. The infrared camera supports Windows 10 Hello functionality for facial recognition software. Does a great job of recognizing face, day or night for seamless login. System is pretty quick too with ample memory and a 512 GB Solid State hard drive.

Best laptop for work and play
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've looked for a laptop for a long time and this one finally checked all the boxes. Discrete graphics, fast SSD, high end CPU, 16 GB of ram and HIGH res display. It did not disappoint. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and it's a treat every time I power it up!
